Les Peugeot 208WRX pour la dernière en Argentine
Six semaines après s’être adjugé le titre de Champion du Monde FIA de
Rallycross par équipe, le Team Peugeot Hansen aborde la finale de la
saison à Rosario (Argentine, les 28 et 29 novembre) avec une solide
ambition : celle d’ajouter une sixième victoire à son palmarès 2015.
La troisième ville d’Argentine va en effet accueillir pour la première fois une manche du Championnat du
Monde FIA de Rallycross.
Le Team Peugeot Hansen ayant été titré lors de la précédente épreuve en Italie et les chances de Timmy
Hansen de décrocher le titre pilote étant très théoriques, priorité sera donnée à l’offensive avec l’objectif
de terminer cette saison 2015 riche en succès par une 6eme victoire.

Timmy Hansen #21 aura à cœur de terminer meilleur performer de la saison en décrochant une 4
victoire, tandis que Davy Jeanney #17, vainqueur notamment en Amérique du Nord début août lors de la
manche de Trois Rivières, entendra bien récidiver à une latitude plus méridionale.
Félicitons par ailleurs, le pensionnaire du Peugeot Red Bull Hansen Junior Team, Kevin Hansen, qui se
voit offrir une course au volant d’une Supercar, grâce à son récent titre en Championnat RX Lites. Il
marque ainsi de son empreinte l’histoire du Rallycross car il est le plus jeune pilote, 17 ans à débuter
ainsi dans la catégorie reine à Rosario.

« Contrairement à ce que nous avons connu à San Luis, l’an passé, la piste est ici tracée à partir d’un circuit
asphalte permanent. J’ai donc bon espoir de faire découvrir le Rallycross aux spectateurs de Rosario dans de
bonnes conditions et en leur offrant des courses de belle qualité. Si la piste reste sèche nos 208 WRX et nos
2 pilotes devraient y être à leur aise »
La course en Argentine sera retransmise à la télévision dans plus de 120 pays à travers le monde. Les
demi-finales et finales seront diffusées en France sur L’Equipe 21, ainsi qu’en Suède sur TV10.

The Peugeot 208 WRX heads for Argentina finale
Six weeks after clinching this season’s FIA World Rallycross
Championship Teams’ title at Franciacorta, Italy, Team Peugeot Hansen
heads to Rosario, Argentina, on November 28-29, intent on adding a
sixth victory to its 2015 record.
The last round of the 2015 FIA World Rallycross Championship is being hosted by Rosario, Argentina’s
third-biggest city. After Team Peugeot Hansen wrapped up the year’s Teams’ crown at the year’s
penultimate meeting in Italy, and given that Timmy Hansen’s chances of winning the Drivers’ title are
extremely slim, the Franco-Swedish squad’s priority will be to conclude its highly successful 2015
campaign with a sixth victory.
Timmy Hansen (#21) will be out to end the year as the 2015 season’s most successful driver in terms of
wins by adding a fourth victory to his score in Argentina, while Davy Jeanney (#17) is hoping to triumph
in South America after coming first in the calendar’s North American showdown at Trois Rivières,
Canada, in August.
Meanwhile, congratulations to Peugeot Red Bull Hansen Junior Team’s Kevin Hansen whose 2015 RX
Lites title has earned him a drive in a Supercar at Autodromo Rosario. The 17-year old will be the
youngest driver in rallycross history to compete in the sport’s premier series.

“In contrast to last year in San Luis, this year’s track is based on a permanent asphalt circuit. I am sure
the spectators in Rosario will consequently be able to discover rallycross in first class conditions and that
they will be treated to some fantastic racing. If the weather stays dry, Timmy, Davy and our two cars
should all be in their element in Argentina.”
Argentina’s round of the 2015 FIA World Rallycross Championship will be shown on TV in more than
120 countries worldwide. The semi-finals and the final will be broadcast live in France on L’Equipe 21
and in Sweden on TV10.
