La PEUGEOT 208 WRX à domicile pour une 4ème
victoire ?!
Actuel leader du Championnat du Monde FIA de Rallycross par équipes,
le Team Peugeot Hansen jouera à domicile, le week-end prochain lors de
la neuvième étape. Lohéac et ses traditionnels 70 000 spectateurs,
verront-ils l’écurie franco-suédoise empocher son 7ème podium de la saison voire une 4ème
victoire ? Réponse les 5 et 6 septembre avec Davy Jeanney et Timmy Hansen au volant de
leur PEUGEOT 208 WRX.
Il y a des habitudes plus délectables que d’autres. Celle qui consiste à gagner face à une concurrence
relevée est un bonheur intense dont il est impossible de se lasser. Le Team Peugeot Hansen le sait bien :
depuis le début de l’été, il a enchaîné de spectaculaires succès avec les victoires de Davy Jeanney à
Estering (Allemagne) et Trois Rivières (Canada) et le triomphe de Timmy Hansen devant son équipier à
Hell, il y a deux semaines, offrant par la même occasion un doublé historique.
Pour le Team Peugeot Hansen, il n’est bien sûr pas question de manquer l’étape française du
championnat. Surtout qu’avec ses 70 000 spectateurs, la course de Lohéac est l’évènement automobile
français qui attire le plus de public après les 24 Heures du Mans.
Avec 550 chevaux sous le capot, les deux PEUGEOT 208 WRX ont déjà démontré leur compétitivité sur
des pistes au profil très différent et elles sont fin prêtes à relever le défi de Lohéac que le Français Davy
Jeanney attend avec impatience : « courir à domicile devant mon public va m’amener à donner le
maximum. Lohéac est un circuit abrasif et il faudra donc bien gérer ce paramètre ». Quant à Timmy
Hansen, c’est l’un de ses circuits préférés !
Parallèlement à ce qui se passera sur la piste, Peugeot sera aussi très présent dans la fan-zone avec de
nombreuses voitures de course exposées, dont l’impressionnante 208 T16 Pikes Peak. Une séance de
questions/réponses sera même organisée entre le Team Peugeot Hansen et le public, samedi à 18h00.

« C’est formidable de se rendre sur la manche française, sur les terres de Peugeot, en occupant la tête du
championnat par équipe. Lohéac est un circuit que nous connaissons très bien. Il nous faudra travailler
comme d‘habitude en veillant à rester bien concentrés tout au long du week-end. Nous sommes confiants de
pouvoir nous battre à nouveau pour la victoire. Rééditer le doublé de Hell sera, en revanche, très compliqué
mais si nous y parvenons, ce sera un véritable rêve ! ».
Pour ceux qui ne seront pas présent sur place, la course sera retransmise dans près de 120 pays à
travers le monde. Les demi-finales et la finale seront diffusées en direct en France sur L’Equipe 21, le
dimanche à partir de 14h.

The PEUGEOT 208 WRX chases its fourth victory
of the season on home soil.
After seizing the lead in the Teams’ standings last time out in Norway,
Team Peugeot Hansen will play home advantage during the ninth round
of the FIA World Rallycross Championship at Lohéac this weekend. In
front of an anticipated 70,000 spectators, the Franco-Swedish squad is
targeting a seventh podium of the 2015 campaign – and perhaps even a
fourth victory – as Davy Jeanney and Timmy Hansen prepare to take to
the track on September 5-6 behind the wheel of the PEUGEOT 208 WRX.
It is impossible to tire of the intense satisfaction that comes from defeating fierce opposition to triumph,
and Team Peugeot Hansen is rapidly becoming accustomed to this sensation. Since the beginning of the
summer, the squad has gone on a remarkable winning run – with Davy Jeanney prevailing at Germany’s
Estering and Trois-Rivières in Canada, before team-mate Timmy Hansen headed a landmark one-two
finish at Hell, Norway, two weeks ago.
For Team Peugeot Hansen, the French round of the championship carries special significance,
particularly given that with an anticipated 70,000 spectators, the outing at Lohéac is the second most
popular motorsport event in France after the legendary Le Mans 24 Hours.
With 550hp underneath the bonnet, the two PEUGEOT 208 WRX Supercars have already showcased
their potential at a variety of very different venues, and they are now primed to tackle the challenge
presented by Lohéac. Frenchman Davy Jeanney is certainly fired-up for it: “Competing on home turf in
front of the French fans will really bring out the best of me. Lohéac is an abrasive track, and it is important
to take this factor into account.” It is, moreover, one of Timmy Hansen’s favourite circuits!
In addition to playing a leading role out on-track, Peugeot will also have a prominent presence in the fan
zone where many of its racing cars will be on display, including the formidable 208 T16 Pikes Peak. There
will also be a question-and-answer session for fans with Team Peugeot Hansen on Saturday afternoon at
18:00 pm.

more, Lohéac is a circuit that we know very well. As ever, we will need to work hard and remain fully
focused throughout the race weekend, but we are confident we can fight for victory once again. Replicating
our result from Hell will undeniably be a tall order, but if we do manage it, that really would be quite an
achievement!”
For those not at Lohéac, the racing will be broadcast on TV in almost 120 countries all around the
world. The semi-finals and final will be televised live in France on L’Equipe 21 from 2:00pm on
Sunday.
