Harmonisation of PEGAS markets successfully completed
PEGAS markets operated by Powernext – EEX new majority shareholder of
Powernext
Leipzig, Paris, 6 January 2015 – The European Energy Exchange (EEX) and
Powernext have successfully migrated all active EEX gas market members
representing 100 percent of the NCG and GASPOOL Open Interest to Powernext on
1 January 2015. As of now, all natural gas activities of the EEX Group are operated by
Powernext under the brand PEGAS. In total, 154 participants are now admitted to
trading natural gas products on PEGAS. The formal transfer of the majority shares in
Powernext to EEX has been completed.
Peter Reitz, Chief Executive Officer of EEX, and Jean-François Conil-Lacoste, Chief
Executive Officer of Powernext, comment: ”With this step, EEX Group facilitates
access to all natural gas products available on PEGAS and provides trading for major
European gas hubs on one platform with only one Powernext membership. This
development serves our vision of a pan-European natural gas offering.”
Dr. Egbert Laege, the newly appointed Executive Director Gas Markets of EEX Group,
adds: “The successful migration shows the high level of commitment of our members.
Harmonising the offering is an important step and a perfect launch pad for future
developments of PEGAS.”
The change in Powernext’s shareholding structure has been formally validated by its
General Assembly. Therefore, with effect from 1 January 2015, EEX is majority
shareholder of Powernext holding 55.8 percent of the shares.

Harmonisierung der PEGAS-Märkte erfolgreich abgeschlossen
PEGAS-Märkte durch Powernext betrieben – EEX neuer Mehrheitsaktionär der
Powernext
Leipzig, Paris, 6. Januar 2015 – Die European Energy Exchange (EEX) und die
Powernext haben zum 1. Januar 2015 erfolgreich alle aktiven EEX Gasmarktteilnehmer, die 100 Prozent des NCG und GASPOOL Open Interest ausmachen, zur
Powernext migriert. Damit werden ab sofort alle Gasaktivitäten der EEX-Gruppe unter
der Marke PEGAS durch Powernext betrieben. Insgesamt sind 154 Teilnehmer zum
Handel mit Gasprodukten an PEGAS zugelassen. Die formelle Übertragung der
Mehrheitsanteile an der Powernext an die EEX ist zwischenzeitlich erfolgt.
Peter Reitz, Chief Executive Officer der EEX, und Jean-François Conil-Lacoste, Chief
Executive Officer der Powernext, erklären dazu: „Mit diesem Schritt ermöglicht die
EEX-Gruppe den Zugang zu allen an PEGAS verfügbaren Gasprodukten und bietet
den Handel der großen europäischen Gashubs auf einer Plattform mit nur einer
Powernext-Mitgliedschaft an. Diese Entwicklung unterstützt unsere Vision eines
paneuropäischen Erdgasangebots.“

Die Veränderung der Aktionärsstruktur der Powernext ist im
Rahmen der
Hauptversammlung formell genehmigt worden. Seit dem 1. Januar 2015 ist die EEX
mit einer Beteiligung von 55,8 Prozent der Anteile Mehrheitsaktionär der Powernext.

Harmonisation des marchés PEGAS finalisée avec succès
Powernext gère les marchés de PEGAS – EEX devient le nouvel actionnaire
majoritaire de Powernext
Leipzig, Paris, le 6 janvier 2015 – La migration des membres actifs sur les marchés
gaz d’EEX vers Powernext s’est déroulée avec succès au 1er janvier 2015, 100% des
positions ouvertes de NCG et GASPOOL ayant été transféré. A présent, l’ensemble
des activités gaz du groupe EEX est géré par Powernext sous la marque PEGAS. En
tout, 154 membres ont été autorisés à négocier les produits de gaz naturel sur PEGAS.
Le transfert des participations majoritaires de Powernext à EEX a été achevé.

Général de Powernext, commentent : « Grâce à cette étape, le groupe EEX facilite
l’accès à tous les produits gaz disponibles sur PEGAS et offre de pouvoir négocier sur

naturel paneuropéenne. »

La modification de l’actionnariat de Powernext a été formellement validée par
l’Assemblée Générale des Actionnaires. Par conséquent, depuis le 1er janvier 2015,
EEX est devenu l’actionnaire majoritaire de Powernext avec 55,8 % des actions
détenues.
