PEGAS trading results of August 2015
Growth trend continues on Futures market
Leipzig, Paris, 8 September 2015 – PEGAS, the pan-European gas trading platform
operated by Powernext, announced that a total volume of 65.9 TWh was traded in
August 2015, representing a year on year increase of 39 % (August 2014: 47.2 TWh).
Spot Markets
Overall spot trading volumes in August totalled 23.8 TWh, which is an increase of 5 %
compared to August 2014. The German GASPOOL and NCG areas registered a
volume of 9.1 TWh in August which included 2.2 TWh traded in quality-specific gas
products. The volume in the French PEG Nord and TRS market areas totalled 7.4 TWh,
showing an increase of 18 % while volumes on the Dutch TTF hub increased to
6.7 TWh. In addition, PEGAS reached a new monthly record on the Belgian ZTP area
with 560 GWh registered in August (previous record: 442 GWh in March 2015).
Derivatives Markets
Trading volumes on the PEGAS derivatives markets continued its positive development
throughout August also. A total of 42.1 TWh was traded representing a year-on-year
increase of 71 %, while the volume traded in the German GASPOOL and NCG market
areas amounted to 6.2 TWh. Trading volumes in the French Nord and TRS market
areas reached 5.7 TWh, which is an increase of 89 % compared to August 2014.
Furthermore, the Dutch TTF futures market contributed 29.5 TWh to the total volume
which is almost the double of last year’s volume. The derivatives volume registered for
clearing via trade registration amounted to 7.1 TWh.

PEGAS Handelsergebnisse für August 2015
Wachstum am Terminmarkt setzt sich fort
Leipzig / Paris, 8. September 2015. Im August 2015 wurde auf PEGAS, der von
Powernext betriebenen Gashandelsplattform, ein Volumen von insgesamt 65,9 TWh
gehandelt. Im Vergleich zum Vorjahresmonat entspricht dies einem Anstieg von
39 Prozent (August 2014: 47,2 TWh).
Spotmärkte
Die Handelsvolumina an den Gas-Spotmärkten beliefen sich im August auf insgesamt
23,8 TWh und stiegen somit um 5 Prozent im Vergleich zum Vorjahr. In den deutschen
Marktgebieten GASPOOL und NCG wurde ein Volumen von 9,1 TWh gehandelt, darin
enthalten sind 2,2 TWh aus dem Handel mit qualitätsspezifischen Gasprodukten. Das
Volumen in den französischen Marktgebieten PEG Nord und TRS stieg auf 7,4 TWh
(+18 Prozent). Der niederländische TTF-Spotmarkt erzielte ein Volumen von 6,7 TWh.
Im belgischen ZTP-Marktgebiet erreichte PEGAS mit 560 GWh im August einen neuen
Monatsrekord (nach 442 GWh im März 2015).
Terminmärkte
Die Handelsvolumina an den PEGAS-Terminmärkten setzten ihre positive Entwicklung
auch im August fort. Gegenüber dem Vorjahresmonat stieg das Gesamtvolumen um
71 Prozent auf 42,1 TWh. In den Marktgebieten GASPOOL und NCG belief sich das
Volumen auf 6.2 TWh. Das Handelsvolumen in den Marktgebieten PEG Nord und TRS
erreichte 5,7 TWh (+ 89 Prozent). Der TTF-Terminmarkt trug im August 29,5 TWh zum
Gesamtvolumen bei, was nahezu einer Verdopplung zum Vorjahresvolumen entspricht.
Das Volumen am Terminmarkt enthält 7,1 TWh, die über Trade Registration zum
Clearing registriert wurden.

PEGAS : Volumes négociés en août 2015
Une croissance continue se poursuit sur
PEGAS Futures
Leipzig / Paris, 8 septembre 2015. PEGAS, la plateforme de négociation du gaz
paneuropéenne gérée par Powernext annonce qu’un volume total de 65,9 TWh a été
négocié en août 2015. Cela représente une augmentation de 39% par rapport à août
2014 (47,2 TWh).
Marchés spot
Le volume négocié sur les marchés spot a atteint 23,8 TWh, soit une augmentation de
5% par rapport à août 2014. Le volume négocié sur les marchés spot allemands (zones
de marché GASPOOL et NCG) s’est élevé à 9,1 TWh, incluant 2,2 TWh négociés en
produits gaz haute et basse qualités. Un volume de 7,4 TWh a été négocié sur les
zones de marché spot françaises PEG Nord et TRS, ce qui représente une
augmentation de 18%, tandis que le volume traité au TTF néerlandais s’est élevé à 6,7
TWh. En août, PEGAS a également enregistré un nouveau record de volume mensuel
sur la zone de livraison ZTP avec 560 GWh (record précédent : 442 GWh en mars
2015).
Marchés dérivés
Le volume négocié sur les marchés PEGAS Futures continue à progresser en août. Un
volume total de 42,1 TWh a été négocié, soit une augmentation de 71% comparé à
l‘année précédente. Les zones de livraison allemandes GASPOOL et NCG ont
enregistré un volume total de 6,2 TWh. Les marchés PEG Nord et TRS français ont
atteint 5,7 TWh, ce qui représente une croissance de 89% par rapport à août 2014. De
plus, le marché dérivé au hub néerlandais TTF a contribué 29,5 TWh du volume total,
soit presque le double du volume traité l’année précédente. Le volume des transactions
OTC compensées a atteint 7,1 TWh.
