Chapters “Fun To Read” - Every Thursday!
Join us for circle time with songs, rhymes and a story. There will be a question
and answer period with an Educator from the Ontario Early Years Centre.
Chapters South Keys – 2210 Bank Street.
Playgroup in the Park
Come and join us for some outdoor fun at our playgroup in the park. Enjoy
some time outside with your little ones and experience adventures beyond the
play structures!
Please note: Playgroup in the park is weather dependent. Please call
613-737-6369 if it’s been raining and you’re unsure whether or not to attend.
Healthy Child Development Screening Session (during Baby Group)
A public health nurse will be available to complete a developmental screening
session with you and your child. If you have any questions or concerns,
resources and supports will be provided. Questions can be answered in both
English and French.
Workshops with this star require registration.

Hands on Fun - Perler Beads (2 Sessions to choose from!)
For children 4-6 years old and their parents/guardians and/or caregivers.
Come and inspire your child’s creativity with Perler Beads! Your child will have
the opportunity to create their own design while using their math skills for sorting, counting and patterning. This activity is also great for improving your
child’s fine motor skills, concentration and hand/eye coordination!
Daddy Playgroup / Groupe de jeu pour papa
An opportunity for fathers and other male caregivers (uncles, grandfathers,
big brothers, etc…) to connect within an early learning environment.
Une occasion pour papa, oncle, grand-papa, etc. d’interagir avec d’autres
hommes dans un contexte relié à la petite enfance.
Hands on Fun - Paper Mosaic (2 Sessions to choose from!)
For children 4-6 years old and their parents/guardians and/or caregivers.
Your child will enjoy this fun and creative activity while using their imagination
to create their own paper mosaic project. This activity also promotes the use of
fine motor and math skills.
Toilet Learning Information Session (during Don Reid playgroup)
An Early Years Educator will be available to answer your questions on toilet
learning. Come and discuss signs of readiness, tips on how to encourage independence in your child as well as the importance of a consistent routine.
*Please note that all parent/child workshops with registration will start on time and we will not accept anyone after 15 minutes of a workshop.

Little Book Worms: Pajama Party!
For children 3-6 years old and their parents/guardians and/or caregivers.
Pack your bag and come have a pj party! Your child will play flashlight games, make an art
activity, have a bedtime snack and listen to bedtime stories.
Please include the following items in your “carry along” bag: pajamas, slippers, blanket or
sleeping bag, favourite stuffed animal and flashlight.

Join us for an afternoon of outdoor play as we go on a scavenger hunt! Children will also have
the opportunity to play some traditional outdoor games.

Whether your child is starting Kindergarten or going back to school, come join an Early Years
Educator and get tips on how to make the transition from summer to school mode relatively
calm and stress free.
