Foire Champêtre de Pontiac : Cette année encore, la Foire
Champêtre aura lieu dans une ambiance familiale à l’aire de piquenique au pied de la Chute de Luskville, dans le parc de la Gatineau.
En collaboration avec la CCN, nous voulons célébrer la richesse
artistique et agroalimentaire de notre municipalité.
Nous invitons les commerçants et artisans à réserver gratuitement
leur kiosque dès maintenant. Nous faisons aussi appel à des
bénévoles pour gérer le stationnement, donner les informations sur
la programmation et compiler les statistiques.

Pontiac Country Fair: Once again this year, the Country Fair will
take place in a family atmosphere and great setting at the picnic
grounds near the Luskville Falls in the Gatineau Park.
In collaboration with the NCC, we want to celebrate the artistic
wealth and agro-food diversity of our municipality.
Merchants and artisans are invited to reserve their booth now, free
of charge. We are also recruiting volunteers to help manage the
parking areas, provide program information and gather statistics.

COURS D’EAU ET CASTORS
Les propriétaires ont la responsabilité de veiller à assurer le libre
écoulement des eaux sur leur terrain, c’est-à-dire :
• Interdiction de permettre ou de tolérer une obstruction – par
exemple, un propriétaire ne peut tolérer la construction d’un
barrage de castors lorsque celui-ci est un risque pour la
sécurité des personnes ou des biens.
• Responsabilité du propriétaire d’apporter des mesures
correctives approuvées par la MRC.
Les propriétaires peuvent être tenues responsables des dégâts
causés par un barrage de castor.
Si vous avez un problème de barrage de castor, la MRC peut vous
aider puisqu’elle détient la responsabilité exclusive de la gestion
des cours d’eau sur son territoire. Pour toute question, veuillez

WATER FLOW AND BEAVERS
Property owners have a responsibility to ensure the free flow of
water on their property, that is to say:
• It is forbidden to allow or tolerate an obstruction - for
example, a landowner may not tolerate the construction of a
beaver dam when it represents a risk to the safety of persons
or property.
• It is the responsibility of the landowner to take corrective
measures approved by the MRC.
Landowners affected can be held responsible for any damages
caused as a result of a beaver dam.
If you are experiencing problems with beaver dams, the MRC can
help you since it has sole responsibility for the management of
waterways within its territory. For any questions on this matter,
please contact Mr. David Massé at 819-743-9599.
CONSULTATIONS SCHÉMA D’AMÉNAGEMENT
Le plan d’aménagement proposé par la MRC est disponible sur
notre site : www.municipalitepontiac.com/fr/urbanisme-et-permis/
La MRC tiendra une consultation publique au Centre
communautaire de Luskville le 4 novembre prochain. Par la suite
la MRC procédera à l'adoption du schéma d'aménagement révisé
d'ici la fin de l'année 2015 et le soumettra au ministre des Affaires
municipales et de l'Occupation du territoire pour approbation. À la
suite de tout ce processus, la Municipalité de Pontiac aura 2 ans
pour ajuster sa réglementation à ce nouveau schéma.
CONSULTATIONS - LAND USE AND
DEVELOPMENT PLAN
The MRC’s proposed development plan is available on our

The MRC will hold a public consultation at the Luskville
Community Center on November 4th. Subsequently the MRC
will proceed with the adoption of the revised development plan by
the end of 2015, and will submit it to the Minister of Municipal
Affairs for approval. Following this process, the Municipality of
Pontiac will have 2 years to adjust its regulations to the new plan.

La Municipalité a reçu une subvention pour couvrir le salaire d’un
agent de développement communautaire afin d’établir un Plan
d’action local pour la solidarité et l’inclusion sociale (PALSIS).
Suite à un avis public, le Conseil municipal a entériné la
nomination de madame Meghan Lewis qui possède une vaste
expérience dans le milieu communautaire. Vous aurez sans doute la
chance de la rencontrer sur le terrain au cours des prochain mois
alors qu’elle mènera des consultations au nom de la Municipalité.
FIGHT AGAINST POVERTY AND EXCLUSION
The Municipality has received a grant to cover the wages of a
Community development officer to establish a local action plan
for solidarity and social inclusion (PALSIS).
Following a public notice, the municipal Council has approved
the appointment of Mrs. Meghan Lewis who has extensive
experience in the community field. You will undoubtedly have
the chance to meet her over the course of the next months, as she
will be conducting field consultations on behalf of the
Municipality.
RÉOUVERTURE DU CONTRAT DE COLLECTE DES
MATIÈRES RÉSIDUELLES
Le Conseil municipal a pris acte de l’insatisfaction des
contribuables quant à la collecte des matières résiduelles et a
obtenu que le contrat avec l’entrepreneur soit résilié, sans frais.
Au cours des prochains mois, le règlement municipal sera révisé et
un nouvel appel d’offres sera lancé.
REOPENING THE CONTRACT FOR THE COLLECTION
OF RESIDUAL MATERIAL
The municipal Council has acted on the taxpayers’ dissatisfaction
with the collection of residual materials and obtained that the
contract with the contractor be terminated, without penalty.
Over the course of the next months, the municipal regulations will
be reviewed and a new call for tenders will be issued.

Did you know that you can send us proof that you had your
septic tank emptied electronically? Just scan your invoice and
send it to [email protected]. Remember to include
your civic address.
CENTRE COMMUNAUTAIRE DE QUYON
Une étude externe commandée par le conseil municipal a confirmé
l’état de vétusté du centre communautaire de Quyon (Club Lions)
et a permis de préciser les besoins de la communauté pour un
nouveau bâtiment.
Lors de la dernière séance, le Conseil municipal a résolu de
présenter le projet de construction d’un nouveau centre
communautaire au Programme d’infrastructure Québecmunicipalités.
QUYON COMMUNITY CENTRE
The external study commissioned by the municipal Council
confirmed the dilapidated state of the Quyon community centre
(Lions Club) and helped define the needs of the community for
a new building.
At its last meeting, the municipal Council resolved to present
the building project of a new community centre to the
Programme d’infrastructure Québec-municipalités.

présenter à l'église Samedi matin, le 5 septembre 2015 à 9h00.

choix ? Viens nous voir!! Mercredi le 16 sept. à 19h00 à l'école
primaire Notre Dame de la Joie.
INSCRIPTION AUX ACTIVITES D'AUTOMNE:
Mercredi 16 sept. de 18h à 19h à l’école Notre Dame de la Joie.
Argent comptant seulement.
Cours tir à l'arc: Offerts aux enfants et adultes. Les enfants
doivent être accompagnés d'un adulte. L’activité aura lieu les 22 et
29 sept. Ainsi que 6 et 13 oct. de 18h30 à 19h30 au gymnase de
l'école Notre Dame de la Joie. Un instructeur certifié sera sur place
pour enseigner les bonnes techniques. Le coût 20$/personne.
Session d'activités sportives: Offert aux élèves de la 3e à la 6e
année. L’activité aura lieu les mardis entre 18h30 et 19h30 du 20
oct. au 8 déc. au gymnase de l’école Notre-Dame-de-la-Joie. Coût:
40$/enfant.
Cours "Devenez un héros en 30 minutes!": Tout le monde
aimerait être capable d’intervenir pour sauver une vie en présence
d’une personne qui s’effondre soudainement et qui subit un arrêt
cardiaque… Offert à tous (enfant/adulte). Dimanche 6 déc. de 13h
à 15h au Centre Communautaire de Luskville. Tirage pour prix de
participation. Coût: 5$/personne.
Cours de cuisine "freezer cooking": Offert aux 6 à 99 ans!
Comprend 2 repas à congeler pour 4 à 6 personnes que vous
rapporterez à la maison. Au menu: riz espagnol et chili au poulet.
Vous pourrez déguster sur place les recettes! Dimanche 25 oct. de
10h à 12h au Centre Communautaire de Luskville. Coût:
25$/personne.
Cours de zumba
Du 1er octobre au 5 novembre, tous les jeudis à 19h30

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING: Would you like to share
your ideas, and give a few hours a year doing an activity of your
choice? Come see us!! Wednesday, September 16th at 7:00pm
at the Notre Dame de la Joie elementary school in Luskville.
REGISTRATION TIME FOR ALL ACTIVITIES:
Wednesday, Sept. 16th, 6- 7 pm. Notre Dame de la Joie School.
Cash only please.
Bow and arrow course: Offered to kids and adults. Kids must
be accompanied by an adult. The activity will take place on
Tuesday evenings (Sept. 22 and 29 and Oct. 6 and 13th) from
6:30pm - 7:30pm in the gym of the Notre Dame de la Joie
school. A certified instructor will be on site to teach the proper
technique. Cost: $20 person.
Sports Activity Session: Offered to students grades 3 to 6.
Activity will be held on Tuesdays between 6:30 – 7:30pm from
Oct 20th – Dec 8th. in the Notre Dame de la Joie gym. Cost:
$40.00 per child.
First Aid training: You never know when you will need this
knowledge….offered to everyone (children/adults). Sunday.
Dec. 6th from 1PM – 3PM at the Luskville Community Centre.
Participation prize draw to be held at end of training. Cost: $5
person.
Freezer Cooking Class: Offered to those 6 – 99 yrs old.
Includes two meals for your freezer that serve 4 to 6 people to
bring home. On the menu, Spanish Rice & Chicken Chili!
Samples of each menu will be available for tasting! Sunday,
October 25 from 10AM to 12PM at the Luskville Community
Centre. $25 per person.
Zumba class
October 1st - November 5th, on Thursday nights at 7:30 pm
Cost 50$... Age 12 and up
