This p r o p e r t y i s l o c a t e d a t about t h e 2,300 f o o t e l e v a t i o n
on t h e west s i d e of t h e Georgie R i v e r , a b o u t 3$ miles from t h e
P o r t l a n d Canal and about 1 4 m i l e s south-southwest o f S t e w a r t .
S i x c l a i m s , t h e M. J Nos. 1 & 2, L .J. Nos. 1 & 2, and
L i t t l e P a t NOS. 1 & 2, were owned by J a s Lydden, of S t e w a r t , i n
1926; open c u t t i n g was r e p o r t e d a t t h a t time. These c l a i m s
a p p a r e n t l y l a p s e d . The p r o p e r t y h e l d by M r . Lydden i n 1931
c o n s i s t e d of t h e Montrose group of 4 c l a i m s ; f u r t h e r s t r i p p i n g
and open c u t t i n g was r e p o r t e d d u r i n g t h e y e a r .
Newconex Canadian E x p l o r a t i o n Ltd. h e l d t h e showings i n
1962 as t h e J O group. Magnetometer and e l e c t r o m a g n e t i c s u r v e y s ,
g e o l o g i c a l mapping, t r e n c h i n g and sampling were c a r r i e d o u t .
I n l a n d Copper L t d . i n August 1973 a c q u i r e d an o p t i o n t o
p u r c h a s e 28 c l a i m s (JJ 1 and 2, C 1 and 4, and J C 1-24) from
Joseph S u l l i v a n of Burnaby and Leo Marchaldon of T e r r a c e .
G e o l o g i c a l mapping and l i n e c u t t i n g w a s r e p o r t e d .

DESCR IPTION OF DEPOSIT/DESCRIPTION D U GISEMENT
The c o u n t r y r o c k o n t h e p r o p e r t y i s d i o r i t e s h e a r e d
l o c a l l y and c o n t a i n i n g much e p i d o t e . The r o c k does n o t
resemble t h e Coast Range b a t h o l i t h v e r y c l o s e l y and may b e an
o l d e r i n t r u s i v e . The m i n e r a l showings are q u a r t z v e i n s up t o
3 f e e t wide and w e l l m i n e r a l i z e d w i t h c h a l c o p y r i t e , - p y r r h o t i t e , p y r i t e , and some p e n t l a n d i t e . I n t h e lower exposure t h e
v e i n s t r i k e s about N60°W and d i p s about 75"NE. I n t h e upper
exposure t h e v e i n s t r i k e s N30°W and d i p s v e r t i c a l l y . The
v e i n s l o c a l l y c o n t a i n a s much a s 10% copper.
