e property i s w i t i n t e a r e a under a i n y t h e Copper
Mountain s t i c k . . The showings occur on a rock b l u f f comibsed
of s t r o n g l y a l t e r e d v o l c a n i c rocks and dark-grey t o pink
i n t r u s i v e dykes. The v o l c a n i c rocks probably a r e a n d e s i t e s o r
b a s a l t s of t h e Nicola group. Rock a l t e r a t i o n gives many rocks
t h e appearance of a b r e c c i a . Veins, patches, and l a r g e r
masses of a l t e r e d rock a r e composed of a v a r i e t y of minerals,
i n c l u d i n g a u g i t e , b i o t i t e , s c a p o l i t e , c h l o r i t e , e p i d o t e , and
s m a l l amounts of q u a r t z . Magnetite i s unevenly disseminated
and s i n c e i t occurs l o c a l l y i n f r a c t u r e s , i s p a r t l y an a l t e r a t i o n product.
Most of t h e dykes s t r i k e n o r t h e r l y , d i p f a i r l y s t e e p l y
westward, and a r e of s y e n o d i o r i t e porphyry. Each may b e a s
much as 30 feet wide, and i n some c a s e s they o c c u ~c l o s e
t o g e t h e r . One d i s t i n c t i v e pink dyke of l a t i t e porphyry about
10 f e e t w i d e s t r i k e s n o r t h e r l y and d i p s w e s t a t about 60°.
Chalcopyrite and p y r i t e occur e i t h e r t o g e t h e r o r s e p a r a t e l y a s
disseminations and f i n e seams i n t h e a l t e r e d rocks. Some of
t h e b e s t m i n e r a l i z a t i o n seen i s c l o s e t o t h e l a t i t e porphyry
dyke, i n d r i l l core on t h e e a s t s i d e of t h e dyke and i n out-
