vendredi, 5 juin 2015 Objet : Intérêt des parents pour le Voyage au Hawaii Band and choir Festival en avril 2016 Bonjour chers parents, Le but de cette lettre est de vérifier votre intérêt concernant un voyage de 4 jours au Hawaii band and choir Festival de l’Harmonie Jeunesse de la Vérendrye prévu en avril 2016. Les élèves ayant accès au voyage sont tous les membres de l’Harmonie de la 6e année à la 12e année de l’année scolaire 2015-2016. Le voyage ce fera du 7 avril au 12 avril 2016. Comme vous pouvez le voir dans le document cijoint, le voyage est complètement organisé. La plupart des repas sont fournis (225$ d’argent de poche environ à apporter pour les autres repas) et toutes les activités inscrites dans l’horaire sont fournies aussi. Le coût du voyage est de 1825$ par élèves, si nous sommes un groupe de 35 élèves. Évidemment, dépendamment du nombre d’élèves, le prix peut fluctuer. Les élèves auront beaucoup d’opportunités pour ramasser des fonds par l’entremise d’organisations de levées de fonds et par des d’activités qui seront mises en place durant l’année 2015-2016 Je vous envoie cette lettre aujourd’hui, puisque nous devons envoyer un premier paiement de 300$ par élève avant le 15 septembre 2015. J’aimerais donc, par le biais de cette lettre, vérifier votre l’intérêt pour ce voyage. Arrive at Calgary International Airport. Check in for flight. WJ flight # 137 departs for Vancouver. WJ flight #1864 departs for Honolulu. Pay for dinner at the Vancouver airport. Arrives in Honolulu. Meet your Affinity Group Tours representative who will assist you in loading your coach. Transfer to the hotel for check-in 4 night’s hotel Aston Waikiki Beach Hotel 2570 Kalakaua Ave Ph. 808-922-2511 FRIDAY HONOLULU (B+D) 8 APRIL 7:00 AM 9:00 AM 11:00 AM 12:15 PM 2:00 PM 3:00 PM 3:30 PM 4:00 PM 7:00 PM Wake up and have breakfast by pool Board coach to Pearl Harbour Arrive at Pearl Harbour where you will enjoy a tour of the USS Arizona. Here the group will watch a short video before taking the boats out to the sunken battleship. Lunch is available at the canteen (not included) Tour of USS Arizona Transport via free Missouri shuttle onto Ford Island to the Battleship Missouri (coach must enter Missouri with instruments only, no passengers) Band performance at USS Missouri Battleship; Choir take a self-guided tour Choir performance at USS Missouri Battleship; Band take a self-guided tour Depart for hotel. Dinner at the Hard Rock Café near your hotel. Pool is open until 9pm. SATURDAY HONOLULU- HAWAII BAND AND CHOIR FESTIVAL (B) 9 APRIL 7:00 AM 8:00 AM 9:00 AM 10:00 AM 10:10 AM 10:30 AM 11:40 AM Wake up and have breakfast by pool Depart for Hawaii Band and Choir Festival at the Pearl City Cultural Centre. Festival performances, workshops and adjudication today. Watch other schools perform. Featured adjudicators include Jay Gephardt from Purdue University and James Swearingen from Capital University. 1-hr Mass Choir rehearsal 2-hr Choral Festivals Choir performance Vocal Jazz performance 30-min Mass Choir Performance All Choral activities take place in the Orvis Auditorium at the University of Hawaii 12:00 PM 12:45 PM Board coach to Ewa Makai Middle School Arrival at Ewa Makia Middle School for your festival workshop Lunch (own expense) available at the festival Band activities occur at the Ewa Makai Middle School in the Auditorium. 2:00 PM 3:30 PM 3:50 AM 4:30 PM 8:00 PM 1-hr Band workshop Band Festivals Concert Band performance Jazz Band performances Festival concludes. Return to hotel via coach SUNDAY HONOLULU (B +D) 10 APRIL 7:00 AM 9:00 AM 1:00 PM 9:00 PM Wake up and have breakfast by pool The group will depart on a morning hike up to the Diamondhead Crater. This 1 hour moderate hike will give you beautiful vistas of Waikiki and the Island. Depart the hotel for North Shore of Oahu- stop at Matsumoto shaved Ice and the shrimp trucks- before arriving at the Polynesian Cultural Centre. Here you will enjoy entrance into the Centre and explore the 8 Hawaiian Villages and the ‘Ha-Breath of Life’ dinner show. This will be a tour highlight as you will be able to explore Hawaiian food and culture at its finest. Return to hotel MONDAY 11 APRIL HONOLULU (B) 7:00 AM Wake up and have breakfast by pool. Check out of hotel. 1 Day room will be Provided. 8:00 AM Morning departure to St. Anthony’s School in Kailua for a morning performance. 11:00 AM Drive to Hanauma Bay for a 90 minute snorkeling session. This Natural Preserve is the best place to snorkel in the Islands and houses some rare specimens such as turtles, colorful fish, and exotic coral. 6:30 PM Load and board your coach. Depart for Honolulu International Airport. 7:00 PM Check in for your flight. 10:30 PM WJ # 1865 departs Honolulu. Flight to Vancouver. TUESDAY 12 APRIL HONOLULU/ CALGARY (B) 7:20 AM Flight arrives at YVR. Transfer on WJ #0140 to Calgary. 11:36 PM Arrive in Calgary. Transfer on your own to Lethbridge.
