Baptism: Arrangements for Baptism
should be made one month in advance. To schedule, please visit the
Parish Office or call 212-749-0276, x10 for more information. Baptisms are celebrated in French on the first
Sunday of the month, English on the second and Spanish on the third. Parents and Godparents are asked to
participate in a Baptism Preparation Program prior to
their child’s baptism. Please Note: There are no
Baptisms during the season of Lent.
Marriage: To schedule your wedding and/or register
for our Marriage Preparation Program, please call the
Parish Office at least six months prior to your anticipated date.
Reconciliation: Tuesday and Thursday 11:30 A.M. –
12:00 P.M, Saturday 4:00 P.M. – 5:00 P.M. or anytime
by appointment through the Parish Office.

Theme: “What Are the Penitential Psalms? Are they psalms I
can pray with?” Do we recognize sin and its consequences in
our lives? Can we acknowledge our sin and our guilt? Sorrow
and confession lead to a true returning to God and to the joy of

Today, March 20th, 2011, Archbishop Dolan will celebrate the Call of Candidates to Continuing Conversion
at the Cathedral of St. Patrick. Thus, after the homily at
both the 10:30 and 12:00 Noon Masses, the RCIA candidates will be sent to the Cathedral with their sponsors and
an RCIA team member. These candidates who have already been baptized are preparing to complete their Sacraments of Initiation by being confirmed and receiving
First Eucharist during the Easter Vigil on April 23rd,
2011.
In this ceremony the candidates are called forward into
the sanctuary of the Cathedral of St. Patrick. With their
sponsors at their side, they are presented to Archbishop
Dolan. Their sponsors, the team members, and the community present attest to their desire to participate fully in
the sacramental life of the Church.
The Holy Name community congratulates our eight candidates: Claudia Barrera, Prestimise Ciceron, Dennis
Fernandez, Marisol Franco, Agustina Galvez, Dannyvia Gomez, Jorge Luis Medina and Raymunda Olivera. We pray that they may come to a deeper appreciation of their baptism into Christ’s death and resurrection.
May all of us have hearts open to the promptings of
God’s Holy Spirit. May our Lenten journey toward the
glory of Easter be blessed with the graces of perseverance
and generous love.
