PEGAS trading volumes in May 2016
PEGAS strengthened its market position
year-on-year
Paris, Leipzig, 1 June 2016 – The pan-European gas trading platform PEGAS
registered a total volume of 123.6 TWh in May 2016, representing almost three times
the volume traded over the same period last year (May 2015: 45.7 TWh). The increase
was reflected on both the spot and the futures segments with a more significant growth
on the latter.
Spot Markets
Spot trading volumes in May reached 46.8 TWh, which amounts to an increase of 54%
compared to the previous year (30.4 TWh). On the Dutch market area TTF, 12.0 TWh
were traded which represents a year on year increase of 34%. The German NCG and
GASPOOL hubs registered the biggest volume on PEGAS Spot with a total of 21.2
TWh, an increase of 48% compared to the previous year (14.3 TWh). Trading of qualityspecific spot contracts for Germany totalled 7.6 TWh. The French PEGs volume totalled
10.2 TWh, while the Belgian ZTP and ZEE reached a new high of 2.4 TWh (previous
record: 1.6 TWh in April 2016). Furthermore, spread transactions amounted to 3.6 TWh.
The locational products in Germany and France registered a total volume of 997,254
MWh, among which 980,307 MWh were traded on the Hourly products in 4,087
transactions.
Derivatives Markets
In May, the PEGAS derivatives market reported a five-fold increase with 76.8 TWh
being traded throughout the month (15.3 TWh in May 2015). The Dutch TTF futures
market was the main contributor with a total monthly figure of 64.1 TWh, representing
more than 6 times the volume traded in 2015 (10.6 TWh). Trading in the German NCG
and GASPOOL delivery areas reached 6.3 TWh in May (+127% compared to last year),
while the French PEG Nord and TRS market areas doubled their monthly volume with
3.8 TWh (1.7 TWh in May 2015). Moreover, the PSV market area registered their
second best month with 2.4 TWh. Clearing via trade registration reached 4.0 TWh while
the total volume of spread transactions amounted to 3.1 TWh.

PEGAS Handelsvolumen im Mai 2016
PEGAS stärkt Marktposition
Leipzig / Paris, 1. Juni 2016. Im Mai 2016 erzielte PEGAS, die paneuropäische
Gashandelsplattform, ein Gesamtvolumen von 123,6 TWh. Damit hat sich das Volumen
im Vergleich zum Vorjahr mehr als verdreifacht (Mai 2015: 45,7 TWh). Das Volumen ist
sowohl am Spotmarkt als auch am Terminmarkt deutlich gestiegen, wobei der Zuwachs
am Terminmarkt höher ist.
Spotmärkte
Die Volumina am Spotmarkt erreichten im Mai 46,8 TWh. Dies entspricht einem Anstieg
von 54 Prozent gegenüber Vorjahr (Mai 2015: 30,4 TWh). Im niederländischen
Marktgebiet TTF stieg das Volumen mit 12,0 TWh um 34 Prozent. In den deutschen
Marktgebieten NCG und GASPOOL wurde mit 21,2 TWh das höchste Volumen am
PEGAS-Spotmarkt verzeichnet, ein Anstieg von 48 Prozent gegenüber Vorjahr (14,3
TWh). Die qualitätsspezifischen Gasprodukte für Deutschland erreichten ein Volumen
von 7,6 TWh. Das Volumen in den französischen PEGs belief sich auf 10,2 TWh. Im
Mai wurde in den belgischen Marktgebieten ZTP and ZEE ein neuer Höchstwert von
2,4 TWh erreicht (bisheriger Rekord: 1,6 TWh im April 2016). Darüber steuerten die
Spread-Transaktionen 3,6 TWh bei.
In den lokalen Gasprodukten für Deutschland und Frankreich wurden 997.254 MWh
gehandelt. Davon entfielen 980.307 MWh aus 4.087 Transaktionen auf die
Stundenprodukte.
Terminmärkte
Im Mai hat sich das Volumen PEGAS-Terminmarkt mit 76,8 TWh gegenüber dem
Vorjahr verfünffacht (Mai 2015: 15,3 TWh). Der niederländische TTF-Terminmarkt trug
mit 64,1 TWh den Großteil zu diesem volumen bei. Das Volumen in diesem Markt hat
sich gegenüber Vorjahr mehr als versechsfacht. In den deutschen Marktgebieten NCG
und GASPOOL wurden im Mai 6,3 TWh (+127 Prozent) gehandelt, am französischen
Markt hat sich das Volmen mit 3,8 TWh verdoppelt (Mai 2015: 1,7 TWh). Das
Marktgebiet PSV erreichte sein zweitbestes Gesamtvolumen mit 2,4 TWh. Das Clearing
über die Trade Registration erreichte 4,0 TWh, während das Gesamtvolumen der
Spread Transaktionen 3,1 TWh betrug.

Volumes négociés en mai 2016
PEGAS renforce sa position sur le marché
par rapport à l’année dernière
Paris / Paris, 1er juin 2016. La plateforme paneuropéenne de négociation du gaz
PEGAS enregistre un volume total de 123,6 TWh en mai 2016, ce qui représente
presque trois fois celui négocié l’année précédente (mai 2015 : 45,7 TWh). Cette
augmentation se reflète sur les segments spot et futures avec une croissance plus
significative sur ce dernier.
Marchés spot
Le volume total négocié sur les marchés spot en mai a atteint 46,8 TWh, ce qui
représente une progression de 54% par rapport à l’année dernière (30,4 TWh). Le
marché néerlandais TTF a enregistré un volume mensuel de 12,0 TWh, soit une
amélioration de 34% comparée à mai 2015. Les zones de marché allemandes NCG et
GASPOOL ont enregistré le volume le plus important du mois sur PEGAS Spot avec un
total de 21,2 TWh, soit une augmentation de 48% comparée à l’année précédente (14,3
TWh). Les produits gaz à haute et basse qualités calorifiques allemands ont atteint 7,6
TWh. Les marchés PEGs français ont totalisé un volume de 10,2 TWh, tandis que les
marchés belges ZTP et ZEE ont enregistré un record mensuel avec 2,4 TWh (record
précédent : 1,6 TWh en avril 2016). De plus, le volume total des transactions sur les
spreads a atteint 3,6 TWh).
Les produits localisés lancés en Allemagne et en France ont totalisé 997 254 MWh,
dont 980 307 MWh ont été négociés sur les produits horaires avec 4 087 transactions.
Marchés dérivés
Le marché PEGAS Futures a enregistré 76,8 TWh en mai 2016, soit plus de 5 fois le
volume traité l’année précédente (15,3 TWh en mai 2015). Le marché dérivé au hub
néerlandais TTF a été le principal contributeur avec un total de 64,1 TWh, soit plus de 5
fois le volume traité l’année dernière (10,6 TWh en mai 2015). Les volumes négociés
sur les zones de livraison allemandes NCG et GASPOOL se sont élevés à 6,3 TWh
(2,8 TWh mai 2015), tandis que les volumes des marchés français PEG Nord et TRS
ont doublé avec 3,8 TWh (1,7 TWh en mai 2015).. Le marché italien PSV a enregistré
leur deuxième meilleur mois avec un volume de 2,4 TWh. Le volume des transactions
OTC compensées s’est élevé à 4,0 TWh alors que les transactions spread ont atteint
3,1 TWh.
