Très réussi, le D’Issan 2001 arbore un rubis-pourpre foncé et dégage un bouquet floral mêlant des senteurs de pur cassis et des

Composé de 68 % de cabemet-sauvignon et de 32 % de merlot, Issan 2001 offre une représentation très classique du cru, tel qu’il
est depuis le milieu des années 90, c’est-à-dire l’un des margaux les plus réguliers et construits. Le vin possède en effet une belle
densité charnue, vigoureuse et fraîche, avec des tanins un peu plus sévères que dans un 2000 qui évolue remarquablement. C’est
un vin de belle garde, ambitieux et plein.

parfumé. Un joli vin qui s’exprime plus par sa douceur que par sa structure et sa profondeur...La finesse margalaise de toute

que frais et juteux, un vrai plaisir ! Enfin nous trouvons Issan sur la voie qui doit être la sienne !

C’est certainement l’Issan le plus complet et le mieux vinifié dont je me souvienne. Jacques Boissenot a joué pleinement son
rôle de conseiller en obtenant des raisins mûrs et en les vinifiant selon les lois du classicisme médocain le plus pur. Le résultat
donne un vin raffiné, élégant, plus sage que le précédent, au nez floral presque idéal et à la longueur impressionnante.
LE ROUGE ET LE BLANC

Ce vin à grande majorité de cabernet sauvignon est une splendide surprise dans l’appellation. Robe jeune, sombre et violacée.
Le nez est encore peu expressif, mais frais, intense et très ferme. Belle bouche séveuse et puissante, d’une grande profondeur,
bien équilibrée dès l’attaque, qui ne cherche pas à séduire au présent.
Vin sans concession, promis à un grand avenir. On peut lui reprocher un peu de verdeur dans les tannins (cabernet ?). Excellent
rapport qualité/prix.

Curieux nez évanescent mais élégant sur des fleurs blanches. Très bel équilibre dès l’attaque, sur le fruit, avec, déjà, une excellente finale fondue assez persistante. Un classique et une valeur sûre.

This is definitely the most complete and best blended Issan to my mind. Jacques Boissenot has more than fulfilled his advisory
role, getting ripe grapes and blending them in the most purely classical tradition of Medoc. The result is a refined, elegant wine,
more restrained than previously, an almost ideal floral nose and an impressive length.

LE ROUGE ET LE BLANC

This wine, primarily from Cabernet Sauvignon is a splendid surprise in the appellation. A purple-blue yellow colour. The nose
is still not really expressive, but cool, intense and very firm. A beautifully flavoured strength on the tongue with great depth,
well-balanced from the attack, not seeking to charm for the moment.
A wine with a great future that makes no concession. It might be found wanting in vigour in the tannins (the Cabernet?). Excellent value for money.

Curiously evanescent nose but based elegantly on white flowers. Very well balanced in fruit from the attack, already having an
excellent melting yet persistent finale. A dependable classic.

Strong purple colour, a firm woody nose with lots of fruit after being aired - raspberry, plenty of wood but also ripe fruit,
smoothly rounded, ripe tannins and a dry, tart finish; good wine.

and compression. Some abtrusive tannin in the finish may be a problem in 7/8 years, as the wine does not appear to possess
the necessary richness to balance out the structural components. It does offer charm and elegance in a light to medium-bodied
style. Drink it over the next 10-12 years.

Délicieux. A la première dégustation : fruit vif et poivré, qui me faisait penser à un paquet de cigarettes que l’on vient d’ouvrir
du tabac de Virginie, pas des gauloises ! Fruit délicieux, de la chair, notes de chêne neuf et longueur. Une splendeur. Un an plus
tard, la robe avait considérablement évolué, je lui donnais pourtant des notes encore meilleures pour la bouche. Attaque relativement mouelleuse, assez puissant, fruit exquis et riche. 1995 - 2010 +.

Delicious. At the first tasting: lively and peppery fruit, making me think of a newly opened packet of cigarettes - Virginian tobacco and not Gauloise! Delicious fruit, lots of body, hints of new oak and length. Splendid. A year later, the colour was greatly
changed, I gave it an even higher mark for the taste. Attack relatively sweet, fairly strong, exquisite rich fruit. 1995 - 2010 +.
