Since 1980 the firm has chosen to establish itself in Asia in order to assist
European companies investing and doing business on this continent.
Today, the firm has three offices in China, two in Vietnam, and one in
Singapore.
DS is also active in India, Japan and ASEAN countries, via its network

DS’ long-standing involvement in Asia naturally led to the creation of
a dedicated Indian Practice team in anticipation of clients’ interest and
activities in the emerging Indian market.
This specialized team of lawyers provides quality legal advice to European
companies investing in India as well as Indian companies investing in
Europe.

HOW WE WORK
Pursuant to the Indian Advocates Act, 1961, foreign law firms are prevented
from setting up offices or practicing law in India. DS works throughout
India with the support from a strong network of non-exclusive partners
selected for their expertise in foreign investment related matters.
The Indian desk, with the support of DS’s worldwide network and Indian
local partners, having been trained in the best Indian and Anglo-saxon
universities, are well equipped to deliver optimal solutions to our clients

Lisbeth LANVERS-SHAH
Olivier MONANGE graduated from the Institute of Political Studies (Paris) and has a
Master ‘s degree in French Business Law.
After working for the firm in China for 8 years , Olivier MONANGE joined the Paris
office where he coordinates DS operations in Asia. He works with European clients in
India and the rest of Asia, as well as with Asian clients in Europe.
He advises major French companies investing in India, and is a regular speaker at
conferences on investment in India.
He has been appointed Foreign Trade Advisor of France, and is also listed as an
arbitrator with the International Chamber of Commerce and China International
Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC).

Lisbeth Lanvers-Shah holds a Masters Degree and an Ll.M in international business
law. She is a lawyer at the Paris Bar and France’s Foreign Trade Advisors since 2014.
She has comprehensive knowledge of French Business law (mergers and acquisitions/
private equity) and of the Indian legal and cultural environment.
Lisbeth Lanvers-Shah practices corporate law and advises foreign investors looking
to enter the Indian market as well as Indian investors looking to enter the European
market.
