Home Owners Association VOLUME: 2012 AT CORAL CAY PLANTATION ISSUE: FEBRUARY A MESSAGE FROM OUR HOA PRESIDENT An open letter to Residents February 1, 2012 Dear Residents: Although my time in office has been brief, I find that I would like to take the time to say a few things. First – let me extend my extreme gratitude for the support shown to me by the residents of this community. Your kind words, offers of help and smiles have meant more to me than you will ever know. Second, I would personally like to thank JoAnne McGonnell for all her help, her wisdom and sharing of knowledge. I know I will continue to look to her for information and “history.” Her years of dedication are certainly noted here. Then there are the volunteers who give their time and their help, whether it is by serving on a Board, a committee or a club. Without you our community could not be what it is nor could it grow for tomorrow. You are recognized and appreciated. Lastly, let me say – that I have made a pledge to serve ALL the members of our community in an open and proficient manner. Your HOA Board and I will fight to do just that on your behalf. I am sure there will be much more news to share with you next time and I look forward to doing so. Respectfully serving each and every member of the great community of Coral Cay. I hope you are all ready for another sun and fun filled season here in our beautiful community. I know I am ☺ I am sorry I could not take over in time to get the January newsletter out -- I was up north for the holidays -- and as I found out last year, it is virtually impossible to do the newsletter from 1500 miles away! Sara Halloran has suggested a new section for our newsletter, and I’m usually game for trying new things. So, in addition to sending in interesting tidbits (trips, jokes, honors, etc.) about you or your neighbors’ lives for publication in the “Spotlight On…” section, I would appreciate receiving some brief local restaurant reviews. Just a few words about the quality of food, the service, atmosphere, and price would suffice. If you had a particularly good (or bad) experience with a certain appetizer, entrée, dessert or wait-staff, you might want to describe that. Sara volunteered to do the first ones, but please keep your newsletter in mind the next time you go out to eat. As usual, any item for publication may be left in the basket marked “Newsletter” on my porch @. 2915 NW 62nd Ave. Thank you. Rachel .
