WHAT DOES ACCESS TO LAW MEAN?
Everybody, irrespective of age, condition or nationality, should be aware of their rights and duties and how to exercise them.
Access to law consists in offering everyone, particularly people in difficulty, the means to:

Know their rights and obligations
Take advantage of legal information and consultations that professionals provide free of charge
Get help and guidance with their legal and administrative formalities
Be directed, if necessary, towards any suitable body that will enable them to claim their rights
All consultations are free of charge and confidential.
WHO SHOULD YOU ASK? The main resources supported by the City of Paris
The City of Paris’ PADs (Points

Paris MJDs (Maisons de la Justice
et du Droit – Community Justice

City of Paris RADs (Relais

Platforms)
> PADs are public centres that offer free
legal advice.
> The Paris MJDs are legal bodies managed
by the Paris Regional Court (Tribunal de
Grande Instance).
> RADs are free legal advice surgeries
held in almost 70 organisations (City of

formalities and, if necessary, direct you to a
