Reuter Opus 1889 was originally built for
First Baptist Church in 1975. Nine additional
ranks of pipes were added in 1989. A
comprehensive 2006 modification included
exchanging the placement of the Solo and
Great divisions and re-engineering the other
divisions to accommodate new chests and
pipes. The finished renovation includes a
total of 24 new ranks of pipes. Existing
pipes were rescaled and revoiced as
needed to achieve a unified tonal ensemble.
