Dispositif injecteur de spins Comportant une couche de protection en son centre CONTEXT Our reference : 04961-02 Status des brevets French prioriry patent application n°FR12 53569 filed on 2012, Avril 18th and entitled "Injecteur de spins comportant une couche de protection en son centre" Organic semiconductors have emerged within the past decade as a promising medium to transport spin-polarized electrons with the aim to achieve electronic circuits whose properties are driven by the electron spin – a quantum mechanical parameter – in addition to its charge. Toward this end, work has proceeded on the study of spin injectors in combination with organic semiconductors. TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION The thin film elaboration of many organic semiconductors requires a wet chemical environment (spin coating in a glove box) rather than the vacuum environment in which typical spin injectors are synthesized. The present patent describes a means to protect these spin injectors against the rigors of a wet chemical environment while integrating these organic semiconductors within the spin injector properties. ADVANTAGES The properties of the spin injector can be utilized in conjunction with essentially all organic semiconductors, rather than a limited subset that is compatible with vacuum deposition.
