SHOPPING:
There is an excellent MONOPRIX nearby (stays open until 23:50) which
has a wonderful food department in the basement – this is on Boulevard St
Michel. Turn right out of the apartment along Boulevard St Germain to the
first intersection with Boulevard St Michel, turn left up the hill and you will
find Monoprix on the first corner on the right just after a Starbucks.
There is a farmers’ market, at the Place Maubert, every Tuesday,
Thursday and Saturday morning. Turn left out of the apartment cross
the rue St Jacques, rue Dante and continue along the Boulevard St
Germain. Go about 80 meters and you will see Place Maubert across the
road on the right. Here there is a wonderful cheese shop, wine shop, fruit
shop, bakeries etc.
There is also a new city supermarket Franprix opened on rue de la Harpe
near the corner with the Boulevard St Germain – this also has long
opening hours. You can have provisions delivered from most
supermarkets, at no extra cost, if you spend a certain amount.
You will find a shopping trolley in the apartment.

There is shopping all around at Odeon and if you continue west to St
Germain des Prés you will find wonderful shopping here – especially
fashion shops.
The large department store BHV (at the Hotel de Ville) is also a short walk
north across the river.
