Mirage:Thales sur la piste d'un mégacontrat en Egypte

Il n'y pas que les corvettes Gowind de
DCNS en Égypte, un contrat qui pourrait
être mis en vigueur dans les jours
prochains, selon nos informations. Thales
retravaille également très sérieusement
depuis plus de deux ans sur un projet de
modernisation des Mirage de l'armée de
l'air égyptienne, selon des sources
concordantes.
Et si le dossier est très sensible en raison
d'Israël, Paris a toutefois donné son
autorisation au groupe électronique de
présenter à nouveau une offre de
modernisation des Mirage de l'armée de
l'air égyptienne qui disposerait encore
d'une centaine d'appareils (Mirage 2000
et Mirage 5). Paris surveille ce dossier de
très près. "Pas question de faire n'importe
quoi", explique-t-on à la Tribune.
La nouvelle offre est évaluée à au moins
1 milliard d'euros et pourrait atteindre
jusqu'à 2,5 milliards d'euros selon les
différentes versions proposées aux
Égyptiens.
Avec le feu vert de Dassault Aviation,
Thales remet régulièrement à jour son
offre en attendant que les Égyptiens, qui
cherchent un budget...

A key element of the support package
required by the Royal Air Force (RAF) to
operate its new A400M Atlas airlifter has
fallen into place with a decision to award a
maintenance contract on the aircraft.
British regional airline company Flybe
Aviation Services is expected to be
named as the winning bidder for work on
the RAF’s latest aircraft once the deal is
signed in the next few weeks, according to
sources familiar with the work.
AgustaWestland is pleased to announce
that the Brazilian Navy’s Naval Aviation
has signed a contract for a major midlife
upgrade of eight Lynx Mk21A helicopters.
The deal comes as Britain and France
close on a deal to reduce A400M costs by
deepening collaboration on spares and
support management.
A comprehensive support and training
package that includes a Flight Training
Device is also included in the contract.
The upgrade activities will begin in mid2015 at AgustaWestland’s plant in Yeovil,
United Kingdom, with the first helicopter
scheduled to be delivered back to the
customer in the Autumn of 2017.
The appointment of Flybe as the A400M
maintenance and repair organization
(MRO) comes as the RAF prepares to
take delivery of the first of 22 airlifters
from the military aircraft arm of Airbus
