enseigner la Catéchèse un soir par semaine à partir de septembre pour
l’année scolaire à venir. Réunion d`informative à l`église Saint-Malo le
lundi 15 septembre @ 19h tous bien venue.
N.B. Préparation pour Sacrement de la Confirmation, inscription

Réflexion sur le mariage : Savez-vous que physiologiquement, ça
prend 20 minutes pour se calmer après s’être énervé? Un temps d’arrêt
permet à vous et à votre époux/épouse de redémarrer et de retrouver le
meilleur de vous-même. Prenez le temps de faire quelque chose qui
vous apaise : priez, respirez profondément, marchez. Prendre de la distance peut être un acte d’amour.
L’Équipe catholique de rayonnement – candidatures pour l’Équipe
2014-2015 accepte présentement des candidatures pour l’année 20142015. Cette équipe est composée de 5 à 7 jeunes adultes, de 18 à 30
ans, qui vivront en communauté à l’École catholique d’évangélisation de
septembre à juin. Au cours de l’année, les participants recevront une
formation des bases de la foi catholique ainsi qu’une formation en pastorale jeunesse. L’équipe a aussi l’occasion de vivre des expériences telles
que : visiter des jeunes au « Manitoba Youth Center », un centre de détention juvénile ; travailler avec des personnes ayant des handicaps intellectuels ; animer des retraites auprès des jeunes dans des écoles catholiques et des paroisses ; visiter des aînés de la communauté de
Saint-Malo. L’équipe travaille principalement en anglais, mais si des
jeunes francophones font partie de l’équipe, ils pourront aussi travailler
dans des paroisses francophones. Pour soumettre votre candidature,

The Catholic Outreach Team – Applications for the 2014-2015
Team is currently accepting applications for the 2014-2015
.
Team! This team consists of 5-7 young adults aged 18-30,
who
live in community from September until June. Throughout the
year the team receives formation and training in the Catholic
faith, and in various areas of ministry. The team is exposed to a
variety of outreach opportunities, such as: spending time at the
Manitoba Juvenile Detention Centre, working with people with
intellectual disabilities, putting on youth retreats in Catholic
schools and parishes, and visiting residents at nearby retirement
homes. Although the team operates primarily in English, if there
are enough francophones on team, the team will work with local
French parishes and youth. If you know of any young adults who
might be interested in this program, have them call or e-mail our

Renoncer à soi-même/Self-denial
Alors que veut dire « renoncer à soi-même » ? Cette expression nous parlerait plus si l’on disait « se défaire de son égoïsme », et encore « élargir notre petit univers nombriliste », là où l’homme n’agit qu’en fonction
de son intérêt très personnel. C’est probablement cet égocentrisme qui est directement visé par l’Evangile : il est
impératif de sortir de soi et de son monde si l’on veut Le suivre. Suivre le Seigneur : c’est utiliser ses propres
ressources, ses réussites, pour les autres, pour un Autre. C’est rendre - et ne pas garder pour soi - ce que l’on a
reçu ou acquis, pour le service de ses frères, pour qu’ils grandissent, qu’ils se libèrent, qu’ils soient en capacité
de découvrir un autre horizon lointain, une autre raison de croire et d’espérer. Renoncer à soi même pour s’ouvrir
aux autres, c’est trouver Dieu à travers les personnes croyantes ou non-croyantes que l’on rencontre. C’est
changer le regard que je porte sur ceux qui sont différents, c’est écouter leur différence et souvent renoncer - ou
mettre un bémol - à mes certitudes, à ma volonté, que je crois trop facilement être celle de Dieu ! Et ce changement du regard vaut aussi pour la communauté de croyants qu’est l’Eglise. Augmenter ses compétences personnelles, orienter et réussir son projet de vie, avec le désir de donner - et recevoir en retour - sans compter, c’est
ouvrir à d’autres la possibilité de grandir et de s’épanouir dans la vie, les rendre libres. Renoncer à soi nous rend
riche en grâce et enrichit les autres aussi.

All the Saints practiced self-denial
So what does it mean to "renounce or deny oneself"? This term we would talk more if you said "get rid of
selfishness" and still "expand our little self-centered universe," where man acts only according to its very personal interest. It is probably this egocentrism which is directly affected by the gospel: it is imperative to get out of
ourselves and our world if we want to follow Him. To follow the Lord is to not rely on self but to deny self and rely
on God, not on our resources. It is sharing the wealth of what we receive from God - and do not keep all to ourselves and put self first. When we share with others, we inspire them to do as much and release them from their
poverty and encourage them to discover Providence, surrender and trust in God. We give them reason to hope
with joy. Abandon oneself to be open to others is to find God through religious believers or non-believers we encounter. It is to change the way I look at those who are different, their difference is to listen and often give up or put a damper - on my convictions, my will, that I believe too easily to be those of God! And this change of
mind also applies to the community of believers, the Church. Nothing wrong with increasing personal skills, guidance and planning for project success in life but with faith and the the desire to give - and to receive in return –
furthermore, it is to be open to other opportunities to grow and thrive in life, to liberate others to multiply the
graces they receive from God as well.

thing that used to prevent me from uniting to Jesus becomes a sacrifice that does unite me to Him…
