Dinner at 8pm on Monday 23 November:
We have arranged a networking dinner for those attendees who will be in Paris on the evening of
Monday 23 November at 8pm at l’Envue, 39 rue Boissy d’Anglas, 75008, Paris, which is 400m away
from the Clifford Chance office. It should take around 5 minutes to walk. We have set up a Doodle
poll to confirm names and numbers of attendees. The cost of dinner is 50 Euros for three courses and
an aperitif. Each attendee will pay for their own dinner and any additional drinks on the evening. We
ask everyone to gather at the restaurant by 7:45pm to enable us all to be seated on time.
Dietary Requirements:
If you have any special dietary requirements, e.g. gluten-free, nut-allergy, vegetarian, please contact
Sue Egan via [email protected] as soon as possible stating your requirements.
How to get there:
Train – can be more convenient / reliable than flying if you have access to a high speed train, e.g.
Eurostar from London. Total journey time to 1 rue d'Astorg is around 30 minutes from Paris Gare du
Nord via Metro (take line 4 from Gare du Nord to Strasbourg-Saint-Denis, then line 9 to SaintAugustin), which includes 5 minutes walking.
Airports – Charles de Galle is around 25km from the centre of Paris with a good rail link (RER B (blue))
from terminals 2 and 3; if you arrive at terminal 1 there is a free shuttle bus to terminal 3. The train
cost is around €10 (one way) and the journey should take around 35 minutes to Châtelet les Halles
where you can take line 14 to Madeleine (10 minutes) and walk to 1 rue d'Astorg (5 minutes). Taxis
are readily available and cost around €50 - €70 depending on traffic and can take over an hour.
Orly is around 13km from the centre of Paris and is again linked by the RER B (blue) train, this time
from Antony station, which can be reached directly from the Orlyval driverless shuttle. The combined
cost is around €12 and the journey should take around 20 minutes in total (10 minutes on Orlyval and
8 minutes on RER B) to Châtelet les Halles where you can take line 14 to Madeleine (10 minutes) and
walk to 1 rue d'Astorg (5 minutes). Taxis are readily available and cost around €45 - €60 depending
on traffic and should take around 50 minutes.
