DEUTSCH
Zweckbestimmung
Die wieder verwendbaren Temperatur-Sensoren sind zur kontinuierlichen Messung und Überwachung der Patiententemperatur unter Verwendung von YSI, HP, Philips, Siemens-Thermometern und anderen Geräten, die speziell für den
Gebrauch der Temperatursensoren der Serie 400 (YSI Widerstandskurve) bestimmt sind, vorgesehen. Sie werden in
verschiedenen Ausführungen angeboten.
Die Temperatursensoren sind nur für die Anwendung durch medizinisches Fachpersonal und nur für die Anwendung in
klinischer Umgebung zugelassen.
Die mit dem Patienten während der Anwendung in Kontakt kommenden Materialien entsprechen den Anforderungen der
Biokompatibilität nach ISO 10993-1.
Anwendung
1. Temperaturen können z.B. in der Speiseröhre, an der Hautoberfläche oder rektal gemessen werden. Verwenden Sie
bitte nur Gleitmittel auf Wasserbasis.
2. Haut: Platzieren Sie den Sensor mit Pflastern auf der Haut oder speziell an den Extremitäten wie Finger oder Zehe.
Stellen Sie sicher, dass der Hautkontakt nicht durch Bewegungen beeinträchtigt wird.
3. Speiseröhre: Der Sensor sollte im unteren Drittel der Speiseröhre platziert werden.
4. Rektal: Der Sensor ist richtig appliziert, wenn er den Schließmuskel passiert hat.

Reinigung und Desinfektion des Sensors (Wiederaufbereitung)
1. Vor dem Reinigen oder Desinfizieren den Sensor vom Monitor abziehen.
2. Vor Benutzung des Sensors an einem anderen Patienten den Sensor desinfizieren oder autoklavieren.
3. Die Temperatursensoren können mit Reinigungsmitteln, durch Abwischen der Sonde mit einem weichen Tuch oder
durch Maschinenwäsche, bei z.B. 80°C, gereinigt werden.
4. Um den Sensor zu desinfizieren, Sensor und Kontaktflächen mit Desinfektionsmittel abwischen. Wir empfehlen dafür
Cidex® OPA. Falls Sie ein Glutaraldehyd oder ein alternatives Produkt benutzen, beachten Sie bitte dessen
Gebrauchsanleitung.
Dampfsterilisation
Dampfautoklave bei 134°C in Standardzyklen (Dauer 5 Min.). Beachten Sie hierbei die allgemeinen Beschreibungen und
Vorschriften! Reinigen Sie den Temperatursensor vor der Sterilisation von eventuellen Rückständen.
Vorsicht
Unsachgemäßer Gebrauch der Sonden kann zur Beschädigung der Innendrähte und zum Verlust der elektrischen
Isolation sowie zu fehlerhafter Temperaturanzeige führen. Bei Verdacht auf eine mögliche Beschädigung darf der
Sensor nicht in Betrieb genommen werden und ist sofort zu ersetzen.
Warnung
1. Dieser Temperatursensor ist nur zur Verwendung mit kompatiblen Monitoren bestimmt. Die Verwendung in
Verbindung mit anderen Geräten kann zu Funktionsstörungen führen.
2. Die Gerätefunktion kann durch Einwirkung von starken elektromagnetischen Quellen, z.B. elektrochirurgischen
Geräten, beeinträchtigt werden. Entfernen Sie möglichst den Sensor komplett vom Patienten, bevor Sie das
chirurgische Gerät oder eine andere HF-Quelle aktivieren! Überprüfen Sie bei parallelem Gebrauch von HF-Geräten
und Temperaturmonitoren den Erdungsschutz. Minimieren Sie das Gefährdungspotential durch Wahl eines
Temperaturmesspunktes weit entfernt vom HF-Stromweg.
3. Die Anwendung des Produktes im Bereich MRT und CT wird nicht empfohlen.
4. Ist der Sensor beschädigt, muss der Gebrauch sofort abgebrochen werden.

Wartung/Serivce
Die Temperatursensoren enthalten keine zu wartenden oder auszutauschenden Komponenten. Bauliche Änderungen
oder der Austausch von Teilen sind grundsätzlich nicht zulässig. Es wird empfohlen, eine messtechnische Kontrolle
(MTK) in einem Intervall von zwei Jahren durchzuführen.
Produktrückgabe
Kontaktieren Sie den Customer Service von EnviteC-Wismar GmbH, um sich eine RMA-Nummer („Return Material
Authorization“) geben zu lassen. Jedes zu Kontrollzwecken zurückgeschickte Produkt muss vorher gereinigt und
desinfiziert worden sein.
Entsorgung
Vor der Entsorgung des Produktes ist ggf. eine Reinigung und Dekontamination durchzuführen. Bei der Entsorgung
müssen die ortsüblich geltenden Vorschriften für die Entsorgung von medizinischen Geräten beachtet werden.

Intended Use
The series 400 reusable probes are intended for the continuous measurement and monitoring of patient temperature
using YSI, HP, Philips, Siemens thermometers and other devices that are specially intended for use with series 400
temperature probes (YSI resistance curve). They are available in various designs.
The temperature sensors are approved for use by professional medical staff and for professional health care facility
application only.
The materials in contact with the patient during application comply with the requirements of biocompatibility according to
ISO 10993-1.
Instructions for Use
1. Temperatures can be taken, e.g. in the oesophagus, on the skin surface or rectally. Please use water-based
lubricants only.
2. Skin: Place the probe on the skin using plasters or, in special circumstances, put it on the extremities, such as
fingers or toes. Make sure that the skin contact is not interrupted by movement.
3. Oesophagus: The probe should be placed in the lower third of the oesophagus.
4. Rectally: The probe is in correct position when it has passed the sphincter.

Cleaning and disinfecting the probe (before re-use)
1. Before cleaning or disinfecting the probe, disconnect it from the monitor.
2. Clean or disinfect the probe before using it on another patient.
3. Temperature probes can be cleaned with a cleaning agent, either by wiping the probe with a soft cloth or by washing
in a machine at e.g. 80°C.
4. To disinfect the probe, wipe the probe and the contact surfaces with disinfectant. For this we recommend the use of
Cidex® OPA. If you intend to use a glutaric aldehyde or an alternative product, please observe the usage instructions
for these products.
Steam sterilisation
Steam autoclave at 134°C using standard cycles. Observe the generally applicable instructions and regulations! Clean
any residues from the temperature probe before sterilisation.
Caution
Improper use of probes can lead to damage of the internal wiring and to loss of electrical insulation as well as incorrect
temperature readings.

Warning
1. This temperature probe is intended for use only in conjunction with compatible monitors. Usage in conjunction with
other devices can lead to malfunction.
2. Strong sources of electromagnetic fields, e.g. electro-surgical devices, can adversely affect the functioning of the
equipment. If at all possible, the probe should be completely removed from the patient before a surgical device or
other HF source is activated! Check the protective earthing, if you intend to use HF devices and temperature
measuring equipment in parallel. Minimise the potential danger by selecting a temperature measurement point far
away from the HF current path.
3. We do not recommend the use of the product within range of magnetic resonance tomography (MRT) or computed
tomography (CT) devices.
4. Stop using the probe immediately, if it becomes damaged.
5. For further information and warnings please read the user instructions accompanying the temperature measuring
device.
Maintenance/Service
The temperature probes do not contain serviceable or replaceable components. Modification or replacement of
components is generally not allowed. It is recommended to run an inspection of accuracy at intervals of two years.
Returning the product
Contact the customer service department at EnviteC-Wismar GmbH to obtain an RMA number (Return Material
Authorisation). Every product returned for checking must have been cleaned and disinfected beforehand.
Disposal
Before disposing the product, it may be necessary to clean and disinfect it. Local regulations may apply for disposal of
used medical devices.

Les capteurs réutilisables de la gamme 400 sont prévus pour une mesure et un contrôle continu de la température du
patient à l’aide de thermomètres de YSI, HP, Philips, Siemens et d’autres appareils qui sont spécialement conçus pour
l’usage des capteurs de température de la gamme 400 (courbe de résistance YSI). Ils sont proposés en différents
modèles.
Les capteurs de température sont seulement agréés pour l’usage par des spécialistes médicaux et pour l’usage dans un
milieu clinique.
Les matériaux en contact avec le patient conforment aux exigences biocompatibilité selon ISO 10993-1.
Application
1. Les températures peuvent, par exemple, être mesurées dans le tube d’alimentation, sur la surface de la peau ou par
voie rectale. Utilisez uniquement des agents de glissement à base d’eau.
2. Peau : placez le capteur avec des pavés sur la peau ou spécialement au niveau des extrémités, telles que les doigts
ou les orteils. Assurez-vous que des mouvements ne portent pas préjudice à la mesure.
3. Tube d’alimentation : le tube doit être placé dans le tiers inférieur du tube d’alimentation.
4. Voie rectale : le capteur est bien placé s’il a passé le sphincter.

Nettoyage et désinfection du capteur (reconditionnement)
1. Avant le nettoyage ou la désinfection, retirez le capteur du moniteur.
2. Avant d’utiliser le capteur sur un autre patient, nettoyez ou désinfectez le capteur.
3. Les capteurs de température peuvent être nettoyés à l’aide de produits d’entretien, soit en nettoyant la sonde avec
un chiffon doux, soit avec un linge de machine, à 80°C, par ex.

4. Afin de désinfecter le capteur, nettoyez le capteur et les surfaces de contact à l’aide d’un désinfectant. Nous
recommandons CydexTM. Si vous utilisez un glutaraldéhyde ou un produit alternatif, respectez son mode d’emploi.
Stérilisation à la vapeur
Autoclave à vapeur à 134°C en cycles standard. Respectez ainsi les prescriptions et les descriptions générales !
Enlevez les résidus éventuels sur le capteur de température avant la stérilisation.
Attention
Toute utilisation non-conforme des sondes peut entraîner un endommagement des fils internes et une perte de l’isolation
électrique ou un affichage défectueux de la température.
Avertissement
1. Ce capteur de température est uniquement destiné à un usage avec des moniteurs compatibles. Toute utilisation
avec d’autres appareils peut entraîner des dysfonctionnements.
2. L’influence de fortes sources électromagnétiques, telles que les appareils électrochirurgicaux, peut porter préjudice
au fonctionnement de l’appareil. Retirez, autant que possible, entièrement le capteur du patient avant d’activer
l’appareil chirurgical ou une autre source haute fréquence ! En cas d’utilisation parallèle d’appareils haute fréquence
et d’appareils de mesure des températures, contrôlez la protection de mise à la terre. Minimisez le potentiel de
risques en optant pour un point de mesure de la température largement éloigné du trajet de courant haute fréquence.
3. L’utilisation du produit dans la zone MRT et TDM n’est pas recommandée.
4. Si le capteur est endommagé, il convient d’interrompre immédiatement l’utilisation.
5. Pour d’autres remarques et avertissements, veuillez lire les instructions de service de l’appareil de mesure.
Entretien / service
Les sondes de températures ne contiennent pas des composant demandant de l’entretien ou un échange. Toute
modification et tout échange de composant est généralement interdit. Il est recommandé de faire un contrôle
métrologique tous les deux ans.
Retour du produit
Contactez le service clientèle de la société EnviteC-Wismar GmbH afin d’obtenir un numéro RMA (« Return Material
Authorization »). Chaque produit renvoyé à des fins de contrôle doit avoir été préalablement nettoyé et désinfecté.
Traitement des ordures
Avant mettant le produit au rebut, il faut éventuellement nettoyer et décontaminer le capteur. Veuillez respecter la
réglementation locale en vigueur pour le traitement des ordures par rapport aux appareils et dispositifs medicaux.
