EVENTS:
1) Singles Compass Format
Players divided into 8 pools of approximately 4 players each for round robin
play. Winners and finalists of each pool drawn into a Championship Flight 16
draw, 3rd place finishers drawn into a Flight 2 8 draw, 4th place finishers
drawn into Flight 3 8 draw. ¾ play-offs for each flight. Consolation for first
match losers in all flights. The number of players per pool may vary
depending on the final draw size for the event.
2) Doubles
DRAW SIZES:
The final draw size is a function of the number of entries received from the
Base Provincial Allocations, National Junior Open Series events, Tennis
Canada Development spots, and the Out of Country spots.

CHAMPIONSHIP
Players will be awarded points for their singles and doubles results.
Gold, silver & bronze medals will be awarded to the top 3
Provincial teams.
ELIGIBILITY:
By invitation from Provincial Association based on guaranteed allocations,
and results of the Junior National Qualifying tournaments. Open only to
Canadian citizens and permanent residents.

REGULATIONS
The Tennis Canada code of conduct will be enforced including the new Policy
for Late Withdrawal and Failure to Complete Required Tournament Events.

Doubles matches will use regular scoring with a super match tie-break (first to
10 points) for the 3rd set. Players are required to play singles, and doubles.
SCHEDULE OF PLAY:
Matches will begin on August 19 at 8:30 a.m.
COACHES MEETING:
Tuesday August 18 at 3:00 p.m. at the host club.
DRAW:
August 18 at 4:00 p.m. Player attendance is optional.
DOUBLES TEAM SIGN IN:
Provincial Coaches must sign in their doubles teams with the Tournament
Director on August 18 by 6 p.m.
**OPENIING CEREMONY/
PLAYER/PARENT MEETING:* Wednesday August 19 at 8:15a.m. prior to the start of matches. All players,
coaches, parents required to attend.
PHOTOGRAPH:
Thursday August 20 at 8:15 a.m. prior to the start of matches. All players,
coaches, parents required to attend.
PRACTICE COURTS:
Practice courts may be booked for Monday August 17 and Tuesday August 18
at the Beach and Tennis Club and/or at the tournament site by emailing Chris
Harrison at [email protected]. Free access to the courts at La
Belle/Gray Rocks (tournament site) will be provided on Tuesday August 18
only from noon-5pm. Courts can be rented at other times for the discounted
rate of $15/hour taxes included.
AWARDS CEREMONY:
August 25 immediately following the final matches.
TRAVEL:
Responsibility of each player’s Provincial Tennis Association. Please arrange
for a coach/chaperone to travel with your team.
ACCOMMODATION:
Accommodation bookings and payment are the responsibility of each
Provincial Association. See attached accommodation information sheet for
details.
TRANSPORTATION:
Only transportation requests included on the attached transportation form will
be accommodated. Please note that all transportation requests should be
emailed to Chris Harrison at [email protected] by August 12.
Pick-ups will be scheduled and confirmed individually for August 17 & 18.
Please be reminded that there will be no arrivals allowed in MontTremblant on August 16 due to the Ironman competition. A fee of $80
will be charged to any individual who books transportation but do not show
up for it.

Tennis Canada has the discretion to increase the draw size, via the awarding of development spots to the
following individuals. Players who do not meet their provinces published wild card criteria &/or players that are
unable to qualify in their provinces Junior Nationals qualifying process, due to their participation in an official
Tennis Canada Training Camp, or on an official Tennis Canada tour. In addition, players residing & training full
time outside of Canada may be granted an Out of Country spot.
*Qualifiers: Up to 3 qualifiers will be added to the draw based on the National Junior Open Series (NJOS)
tournament results. If an additional player is required to even the draw size the player will be drawn from the

In consideration of the acceptance of my entry in the junior Canadian National Championships (Junior
Nationals), I do hereby, for and on behalf of myself, my heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, releases
and forever discharge the Canadian Tennis Association (CTA), the host club and their respective agents,
officials, employees and representatives of and from any and all actions, claims and demands of every kind,
nature and character that I may have or may hereafter acquire for any and all damages, losses or injuries of
any nature to my person or property, howsoever caused, arising out of or in connection with my taking part
in the Junior Nationals and notwithstanding that the same have been occasioned by the negligence of the
CTA, its agents, officials, employees and representatives, or any of them, or the host club of any of their
respective agents, officials, employees and representatives, or any of them, including without limitation, and
travelling to or from and/or preparation for the Junior Nationals, and all such claims are hereby waived or
released and I covenant not to sue therefor.
In addition, I also grant and assign to the Canadian Tennis Association (CTA) the right in perpetuity to
make, use and show from time to time and at their discretion, motion pictures, still pictures and live, taped or
filmed television and other reproductions of me during the Junior Nationals without compensation for me,
my heirs, executors, administrators or assigns. I agree to cooperate with the news media and to participate
upon request in reasonable promotional activities of the CTA, relating to the Junior Nationals including
without limitation, appearances in promotional commercials for the Junior Nationals, opening and closing
ceremonies and events, press conferences and finals ceremonies. In addition, I agree to participate upon
request in other reasonable promotional activities provided they are convenient to my playing schedule.
These appearances and activities may not be represented as an endorsement by me of any product or
company.
