DRAW SIZES:
The final draw size is a function of the number of entries received from
the Base Provincial Allocations, National Junior Open Series events,
National Junior Training Program spots, National Training Centre
spots, and the Out of Country spots.
ELIGIBILITY:
By invitation from Provincial Association based on guaranteed
allocations, and results of the National Junior Open Series
tournaments. Open only to Canadian citizens or permanent residents.

RULES AND
REGULATIONS
The Tennis Canada code of conduct will be enforced including the new
Policy for Late Withdrawal and Failure to Complete Required
Tournament Events. Please refer to the Tennis Canada website for
details: http://www.tenniscanada.com/index.php?title=CompetitiveStructure-Information&pid=4591 Singles matches will be the best of 3
tiebreak sets. Doubles matches will use regular scoring with a super
match tie-break (first to 10 points) for the 3rd set. Players are required
to play singles, feed-in consolation, and doubles.
SCHEDULE OF PLAY:
Matches will begin on Friday August 21at 8:30am.
COACHES MEETING:
Thursday August 20 at 3:00 pm at the host club.
PHOTOGRAPH:
Photograph Thursday August 20 at 4:00pm. Player attendance is
required and tournament t-shirts provided.
PLAYER’S MEETING:
The mandatory player’s meeting will immediately follow the
photograph.
DRAW:
The public draw will follow at approximately 4:30pm.
DOUBLES SIGN IN:
Provincial Coaches must sign their doubles teams in with the
Tournament Director on Thursday August 20 by 6:00pm.
PRACTICE COURTS:
Practice courts may be booked for Wednesday August 19 and
Thursday August 20 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. by contacting
[email protected] or 1-819-777-5656 extension 205.
AWARDS CEREMONY:
Wednesday August 26 immediately following the finals.
TRAVEL:
Responsibility of each player’s Provincial Tennis Association. Please
arrange for a coach/chaperone to travel with your team.
ACCOMMODATION:
Accommodation bookings and payment are the responsibility of each
Provincial Association. See attached accommodation sheet for details.
TRANSPORTATION:
Please book flights/train tickets to arrive at the Ottawa airport or
train station. Only airport pick-up and drop-off requests submitted on
the attached transportation form will be accommodated. To arrange a

Please note that airport and train station pick-ups and drop-offs will be made for players and Provincial
Coaches only. If other family members are traveling at different times then they are responsible for
their own transportation.

Tennis Canada has the discretion to increase the draw size, via the awarding of NJTP or NTC spots to
the following individuals. Players who do not meet their provinces published wild card criteria &/or
players that are unable to qualify in their provinces Junior Nationals qualifying process, due to their
participation in an official Tennis Canada Training Camp or on an official Tennis Canada tour. In
addition players residing & training full time outside of Canada may be granted an Out of Country spot.
*Qualifiers: Up to 3 qualifiers will be added to the draw based on the National Junior Open Series
tournament results. If an additional player is required to even the draw size the player will be drawn
from the National Junior Open Series tournaments as per their rules and regulations

In consideration of the acceptance of my entry in the junior Canadian National Championships (Junior
Nationals), I do hereby, for and on behalf of myself, my heirs, executors, administrators and assigns,
releases and forever discharge the Canadian Tennis Association (CTA), the host club and their
respective agents, officials, employees and representatives of and from any and all actions, claims and
demands of every kind, nature and character that I may have or may hereafter acquire for any and all
damages, losses or injuries of any nature to my person or property, howsoever caused, arising out of or
in connection with my taking part in the Junior Nationals and notwithstanding that the same have been
occasioned by the negligence of the CTA, its agents, officials, employees and representatives, or any of
them, or the host club of any of their respective agents, officials, employees and representatives, or any
of them, including without limitation, and travelling to or from and/or preparation for the Junior
Nationals, and all such claims are hereby waived or released and I convenant not to sue therefor.
In addition, I also grant and assign to the Canadian Tennis Association (CTA) the right in perpetuity to
make, use and show from time to time and at their discretion, motion pictures, still pictures and live,
taped or filmed television and other reproductions of me during the Junior Nationals without
compensation for me, my heirs, executors, administrators or assigns. I agree to cooperate with the news
media and to participate upon request in reasonable promotional activities of the CTA, relating to the
Junior Nationals including without limitation, appearances in promotional commercials for the Junior
Nationals, opening and closing ceremonies and events, press conferences and finals ceremonies. In
addition, I agree to participate upon request in other reasonable promotional activities provided they are
convenient to my playing schedule. These appearances and activities may not be represented as an
endorsement by me of any product or company.

blessures aient été causés par la négligence de l’ACT, de ses agents, de ses officiels, de ses employés ou de ses

De plus, je cède à perpétuité à l’ACT le droit de tourner, de prendre ou d’enregistrer, d’utiliser et de montrer de
temps à autre et à sa discrétion des films cinématographiques, des photographies, des enregistrements
magnétoscopiques et autres images de ma personne, pris sur le vif, enregistrés ou filmés au cours des
Championnats juniors sans verser de compensation quelconque, à moi, mes héritiers, mes exécuteurs, mes
administrateurs ou mes ayants droit. Je m’engage à coopérer avec les médias et à participer sur demande à des
activités publicitaires raisonnables de l’ACT qui ont rapport avec les Championnats juniors y compris, sans s’y
restreindre, les annonces publicitaires pour les Championnats juniors, les cérémonies d’ouverture et de clôture
ainsi que les tournois, les conférences de presse et les cérémonies des finales. De plus, je m’engage à participer
sur demande à d’autres activités publicitaires dans la mesure où celles-ci ne nuisent pas à mon horaire de tennis.
Cependant, ma présence et ma participation à ces activités publicitaires ne doivent être interprétées en aucune
façon comme une recommandation de ma part de quelque produit ni de quelque entreprise que ce soit.
