Dark Horse ‘Plead the 5th’ Imperial Stout: The last in a line of
small production stouts released around the holidays every
year. Big flavor & clocks in at 11% abv. So we cellared a case
so that you can experience a smooth expression before the
upcoming annual release.
Maker’s Mark ‘Cask Strength’ bourbon : Previously only available
at the distillery. Luckily we got our hands on some of this very
limited release. Clocks in at 111 proof, which provides great
intensity. Notes of grilled pineapple, almonds, and spice. Nikka ‘Coffey’ single grain: Named after its inventor, Aeneas Coffey, the Miyagikyo distillery uses the Coffey still to make this unique whiskey mainly from corn. Notes of caramel, butterscotch, and tropical fruit.

NIKKA: Established in 1934 by Masataka Taketsuru,
the first Japanese to ever study the art of whisky
production. Taketsuru started at Japan’s first
distillery which became Suntory. He Nikka’s first
distillery in Yoichi, Hokkaido, due to its comparable
conditions to the Scottish town where he had
studied.
1) YOICHI 15 year single malt:
From the northernmost island of Japan, Hokkaido.
Complex & refined. Orchard fruit, roasted nuts,
salted­dark chocolate, smoky finish.
2) MIYAGIKYO 12 year single malt:
Coming from the south of Japan, the impact of the
difference in climate and place and slight changes in
technique are manifest. Drink with surprising
maturity. Gentle and sweet with integrated spice
notes. Awarded best Japanese whiskey 12 years
and under.
