“We are very happy for having arrived to the finish. The roads were very tough and we gained experience,. We knew it was going to be very hard, mainly Characato. We liked the roads in Calamuchita last year best, but with this rally we had a new experience and we tried to enjoy. It was difficult to try to run among so many stones. But everything was fine.” Esp:​
“Estamos muy contentos por haber terminado, haber llegado hasta el final de la carrera. Fueron caminos muy duros, y sumamos mucha experiencia. Sabíamos que iba a ser muy difícil, principalmente Characato. Nos gustaban los caminos de Santa Rosa de Calamuchita el año pasado, pero con este rally tuvimos una nueva experiencia y tratamos de disfrutar, fue difícil correr entre tantas piedras. “Nous sommes très contents d’avoir fini, d’être arrivé à la fin de la course. Les chemins étaient très durs mais on a gagné en expérience. Nous savions que cela allait être difficile, surtout Characato. Les chemins de Santa Rosa de Calamuchita nous plaisaient bien mais avec ce rallye on a eu une nouvelle expérience et on a essayé d’y profiter. “ It was a good final for this rally. Our objective was to win the Power Stage. Despite the mistakes, we maintained the status quo, especially, because of other’s mistakes and retirement. Except from the 2 Citroëns, we all had mechanical problems”. Esp:​
“Fue un buen final de rally. Nuestro objetivo era ganar el Power Stage. A pesar de los problemas encontrados quedamos en el Satus quo, gracias, sobre todo a los errores cometidos por los otros y a los abandonos. Salvo los dos Citroën, todos los otros tuvimos problemas mecánicos” Fra:​
“C’est une bonne fin de rallye, notre objectif était de gagner le Power Stage. Même avec les problèmes renconcontrès on reste dans le statut quo. Grâce surtout aux erreurs commises par les autres et les abandons. “After everything that happened, we are here, at the end. It was a hard weekend. We tried to be careful about the hard conditions, but we couldn’t focus due to all the problems we had.We were more confident today and we need to start thinking about the coming rallies. During the recces, we knew that it was going to be tough for the cars, so we tried to push as hard as we could, but you know that if you push hard, you might damage your car. Anyway, it was not harder than we expected already.” Esp:​
“Después de todo estamos aquí, en el final, fue un fin de semana difícil. Teníamos pensado cuidarnos de las condiciones duras y tratamos de hacer eso, pero no pudimos enfocarnos por los problemas que tuvimos. Hoy tuvimos mayor confianza pero ya tenemos que pensar en los próximos rallies. Ya en los reconocimientos vimos que esta carrera iba a ser muy dura para los autos, así que esperábamos poder empujar tan duro como podamos, pero sabes que si empujas mucho rompes el auto. Pero no fue más duro de lo que ya esperábamos”. Fra:​
“Après tout on est là, à la finale. Cela a été un week­end difficile. Nous pensions à faire très attention aux conditions dures et nous avons essayé de faire cela mais nous n’avons pas pu nous concentrer à cause des problèmes qu’on avait. Aujourd’hui on avait une plus grande confiance mais nous devons penser déjà aux rallyes à venir. Dans les reco on avait déjà vu que la course allait être dure pour les voitures, on pensait donc aller très vite mais on sait que si on fonce dur, la voiture peut casser. “It’s been a tough rally, conditions have been very hard for everyone and it’s been a tough rally for the car as well. The stages were really challenging and really narrow, very easy to have a problem. We had to be really concentrated and it was hard to push on the stages. The atmosphere of Rally Argentina is great for the drivers. Really nice feeling and gives you some more motivation.” Esp:​
“Ha sido un rally duro, las condiciones han sido difíciles para todos y también ha sido complicado para los autos. Los tramos eran realmente un desafío por ser angostos y por eso era fácil cometer errores. Teníamos que estar muy concentrados y era difícil presionar en los tramos. Hasta el Power Stage es un tramo definitivamente muy duro, donde hay que estar concentrados. Al principio del rally teníamos una buena estrategia, que hasta el primer día funcionó bien. Luego tuvimos inconvenientes La atmósfera del Rally argentino es muy buena para los pilotos. La gente te hace sentir muy bien y te dan mucha motivación. Ya en Portugal esperamos tener un auto nuevo para poder ir más rápido”. Fra:​
“C’était un rallye très compliqué, les conditions ont été très dures pour tout le monde et cela a aussi été difficile pour les voitures. Les spéciales ont été un vrai défi car elles étaient étroites et c’était facile de faire des erreurs. Nous devions restés concentrés et c’était dur de pousser dans les chemins. La atmosphere du rallye d’Argentine est très bonne pour nous. “We did our best. We had a lot of problems with the car, but we were able to finish in a good position. I’m happy that Kris won, he deserves it after such a long time. We had a good rhythm. Our balance is positive and negative, we’ve had problems but our pace has been good. Now we have to learn from the mechanical problems the car had. We’ll try to the our best for the next race.” Esp:​
“Hemos intentado hacer lo mejor posible, ha habido muchísimos problemas con el auto pero hemos podido acabar en una buena posición. La verdad es que fue una pena porque habíamos podido acabar más adelante. Estoy contento porque haya ganado Kris, se lo merece después de mucho tiempo. Nuestro balance es positivo y negativo, hemos tenido problemas pero nuestro ritmo ha sido bueno. Ahora hay que estudiar y aprender de los problemas mecánicos que hemos tenido en el coche. Intentaremos hacer lo mejor posible en la próxima carrera.” Fra:​
“Nous avons donné de notre mieux. Nous avons eu beaucoup de problèmes avec la machine mais on a pu finir dans une bonne position. Notre rythme a été bon. Je suis content avec le triomphe de Kris, il le mérite depuis longtemps. Notre bilan est positif et négatif, nous avons eu des problèmes mais notre rythme a été bon. Maintenant il faut apprendre des problèmes mécaniques qu’on a eus dans la voiture. “Nous avons eu une très forte voiture tout au long du week­end. Nous n’avons pas dû faire des modifications sauf quand on a commis une petite erreur dans le premier matin. Merci beaucoup à mon équipe pour m’avoir donné une si forte voiture. C’était un rallye très difficile pour tout le monde. “It’s been a really hard weekend for me because I’ve been sick. We would definitely be fighting for the victory if we hadn’t had a problem on stage number 2. To finish a rally like this is quite incredible, it’s very nice to be here. I’m very happy to see that the car is so strong and that we can succeed on a rally like this. The character of the rally is very good, though the conditions of the road are bad but the organisation has nothing to do with that. The weather is the weather.” Esp:​
“Ha sido un fin de semana muy complicado para mi porque estaba enfermo. Obviamente que hubiéramos peleado por la victoria si no hubiéramos tenido un problema en el especial 2. Es increible terminar el rally de esta manera. Me ha gustado estar acá y estoy muy contento de que el auto sea tan fuerte y de haber tenido éxito en un rally como este. El rally es muy bueno pero las condiciones de los caminos estaban muy malas, si bien se que la organización no tiene nada que ver con este hecho. Uno no puede hacer nada contra el clima.” Fra: ​
“C’était un week­end très dur pour moi car j’étais malade. Nous aurions pu lutter pour la première place mais les problèmes dans la deuxième spéciale nous ont empechés de le faire. C’est incroyable de finir un rallye comme ça, Cela fait du bien d’être ici. Je suis content avec la machine et avec le succés remporté. “This result for me is dedicated to Colin McRae. He helped my career at the very beginning and he supported me financially, took me right into the world championship. Without his support I wouldn’t be here. There’s been a lot of people through the way but definitely Colin was the one has inspired my career. My memories of this stage last year were so bad but when that stage is dry, it’s not so bad. Citroën provided me with a really strong car, we had little tiny issues but nothing major.” Esp:​
“Esta victoria está dedicada a Colin McRae. Él me ayudó al comienzo de mi carrera y me apoyó económicamente, me trajo al campeonato mundial. Sin su apoyo no estaría ahora aquí. Ha habido mucha más gente en el camino pero definitivamente Colin ha sido el que me inspiró. Mis recuerdos de este tramo el año pasado no son los mejores pero es un tramo que cuando está seco es bueno. Citroën me dio un auto realmente fuerte, tuvimos pequeños problemas pero nada grave.” Fra:​
“Je dédie ce résultat à Colin Mc Rae. Il m’a aidé dans ma carrière lorsque j’ai commencé et il m’a aidé financièrement, il m’a mené au Championnat. Sans lui et son soutien, je ne serai pas là. Il y a eu beaucoup de monde dans mon chemin mais c’est vraiment lui qui a inspiré ma carrière. L’année dernière, j’avais de très mauvais souvenirs de cette spéciale, mais quand le terrain est sec, elle n’est pas si mal que ça. Citroen a préparé pour moi une voiture très resistente.
