Saturday 3, 10, 17, 24, 31 August : Periph Summer Festival 8, Glaz’art, 11pm Local DJs specialised in Techno and Drum n’ Bass are invited to provide a summer party vibe in this unusual club which was once a bus station. If the beats get too frantic there is a great back garden that serves as a chill-out area, and a projection room showing short films. Saturday 3, 10, 17, 24, 31 August : Noites do Brasil 15, Divan du Monde, 11pm There is no travelling needed to get some Latin American Sunshine. Live Brazilian bands and percussion groups take over this Pigalle venue for a very sweaty dancing session open to all lovers of tropical rythmns. Sunday 4, 11, 18, 25 August : Luxe 16, Folies Pigalle, 6am Sometimes at 6am you just don’t want to go home. Every Sunday morning DJ K-Mu mixes House and Hard House until midday for clubbers who aren’t ready for bed yet. Tuesday 6 August : Au Claire de Lune 0, Butte-Montmartre, sq. Willette M° Anvers, 18th, 9pm This out-door film festival shows classic films in prime Paris beauty spots and parks. The first showing is the much acclaimed ‘Le Fabuleux destin d’Amélie Poulain’ by Jean-Pierre Jeunet. Where better to show the film but in the square where many of the scenes were actually filmed. Thursday 8, 15, 22, 29 August : Bikini 0, Pulp, 12pm DJs Chloé, Jennifer, Seb and Max play everything which falls between the house and techno moniker every Thursday, when this Lesbian club open’s it’s doors too everyone as long as they’ve got a good attitude. What’s more it’s free. Sun 18 August : Twin Peaks 0, Parc de La Villette, Dusk Most people have seen the film Twin Peaks by David Lynch but there’s something special about seeing a film under the stars on a hot summer’s night surrounded by other like-minded people. Take a blanket and some previsions.
