Le Centre Goéland et le Centre d’éducation chrétienne (CEC) invitent donc les membres de la communauté à une réunion publique très importante le lundi 20 juin à 20h00 au Centre Goéland à Cap-Egmont. Le but de la réunion est pour discuter de l’avenir du Centre et aussi pour identifier des groupes ou des gens qui pourraient prendre en main sa gestion et ses opérations. The Centre Goéland and the Centre d’éducation chrétienne (CEC) wish to invite members of the community to a very important public meeting, Monday, June 20th at 8:00 p.m. at the Centre Goéland in Cap-Egmont. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the future of the centre and also to identify groups or individuals who could take on its management and operation. S.-É.-Perrey and Jobs for Youths. 7th ANNUAL BENNIE BERNARD MEMORIAL 6 KM RUN/WALK The 7th Annual Bennie Bernard Memorial 6 km Run/Walk (3 km run for kids 10 and under), will be held on Sunday, June 26th at 1:30 p.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church in Palmer Road. Registration fee is $5.00, proceeds for the Church. Registration will be before the 11:00 a.m. Mass and before the Run. No bikes or roller blades! (Strollers or wagons are permitted for kids). SUMMER TUTORING PROGRAM AT M.E. CALLAGHAN SCHOOL M.E. Callaghan Home & School is sponsoring a summer tutoring program to work with students on Numeracy (Math) and Literacy (Reading/Comprehension skills). Parents, please call the school and leave your name with Kim Arsenault if you are interested in your son or daughter being part of the program. TIGNISH CHILDREN’S WITH 50/50 TICKETS Tignish Children’s Wish Committee will be selling 50/50 tickets along the Tignish Irish Moss Parade route on Sunday, July 3rd. Half of the money raised from selling these tickets will go to grant wishes to children who have been diagnosed with a high-risk, life threatening disease. We thank you in advance for your support in this very worthwhile cause. IMMACULATE CONCEPTION (BRAE) Please reserve Sunday, July 3rd for our Annual Parish Picnic. Some of your favorite attractions will be there such as bingo, canteen, games, BBQ, white elephant table, cake auction, and music by Ceilidh Brae. Donations for bingo, cake auction, and white elephant table are greatly appreciated. Rain date: Sunday, July 10th. RED CROSS WATER SAFETY DAY CAMP The Red Cross Water Safety Day Camp will be holding a half day camp for children ages 5 to 14 from July 18th to July 29th at the Skinner’s Pond Beach. Registration is $85.00 per child or $215.00 per family (3 or more children). You can register by calling Kendal at 882-2476. IRISH HERITAGE FESTIVAL OF P.E.I. There will be a 3-day outdoor concert with weekend camping available. Friday July 29th will feature the Boys in the Kitchen, Saturday July 30th will feature Irish Descendants and 45 Knots, and Sunday July 31st will feature Fiddler’s Sons.
