are obliged to comply with the regulations governing the annexes given to them when they enroll.
Erasmus students are allowed to stay in the annexes for a total of 20 days. In order to go to an annex,

ADMINISTRATION – PATISSION STREET
ATHENS SCHOOL OF FINE ARTS
STUDIOS - PEIRAIOS STREET
In order to enroll in the Athens School of Fine Arts, Erasmus students must come to the
Socrates/Erasmus Office, 42 Patision St. when they arrive. They must have with them their curriculum
vitae, a portfolio, and five passport photographs. After they enroll, they must go to the school's
central building at 256 Peiraios St. to select the studios they wish to attend. Erasmus students may
select any studio; as long as the supervising professor accepts them in his/her course.
Erasmus students must notify the Socrates/Erasmus Office which studio they will be working in as well
as the name of their supervising professors. In case a student decides to change or select a new studio
during his/her studies, he/she must inform the Socrates/Erasmus Office.
At the end of their studies, all students must show the work they have done during their stay to their
supervising professors. After evaluating this work, the supervising professors fill out the Evaluation
form for Erasmus Students and send it to the Socrates/Erasmus Office for a Certificate of Studies to be
issued. If a student fails to notify the Socrates/Erasmus Office of what courses he/she will be attending,
the Socrates/Erasmus Office will not be able to provide him/her with the Certificate of Studies.
At the end of each academic year the school holds an exhibition of the work carried out by Erasmus
students. All Erasmus students are requested to donate one of their pieces of work for this exhibition.
Please note that the donated works will be kept by the school.

Dear partner,
Thank you for this message.
Unfortunately, a similar structure doesn't exists in our institution.
There are some art history and theory courses proposed to the students of our institution, but not a sufficient number so as to cover
an exchange of one semester for art history/theory students.
Best regards, Hubert

Objet : New Department of Theory and History of Art at the Athes School of Fine Arts
Dear colleagues,
We would like to inform you on behalf of Professor Ms Fay Zika that a new Department of Theory and History of Art has been
founded within the context of The Athens School of Fine Arts. The new department aims at encouraging the interdisciplinary
discussion between history, theory and practice.
In the context of Erasmus exchanges already established between our two institutions, we are writing to inquire the following:
(a) Whether a similar structure exists in your institution
(b) Whether, even if not a separate department, there is a sufficient number of art history and theory courses offered so as to cover
an exchange (at least for a semester) for art history/theory students.
[email protected]
On our side, we can offer a number of art history/theory courses (with tutorial supervision in English, French or German), attendance
at a variety of art studios, as well as field trips covering a wide span of artistic and cultural production (from Ancient to contemporary
Greece, Mediterranean basin, East/West divide, Orientalism, etc.).
If the above is of interest to your institution and has possibilities of practical implementation, please inform us so that we can send you
more details and the full curriculum of the Dept. of Theory and History of Art.
Looking forward to hearing from you,
Kind Regards
Erasmus Office
