Preface
Thank you for purchasing the LMP NexGen Keypad WKP-803! The LMP NexGen Keypad
is specifically designed for to use as a stand-alone numeric wireless keypad with any
Bluetooth-enabled Mac computer1.
Before using the LMP NexGen Keypad, read this manual and the
FAQ carefully. Keep the User Manual for future reference.
See package contents on system requirements. LMP NexGen Keypad does not work with iPad!
Windows OS is supported! Not all Bluetooth dongles may support LMP NexGen Keypad in all its
functions!

Whether a (decimal) „.“ or a „,“ will be displayed is determined by the OS (country setting) in use,
not by the LMP NexGen Keypad! You will find more informations about it under „FAQ“.

Overview
Getting Started
Place the LMP NexGen Keypad upside down on a skidproof surface. Open the battery
compartment by gently pressing on the arrows with your two thumbs until you hear a
click. Remove the battery cover.
Place the AA-size battery in the battery compartment.
Make sure the battery is placed according to the polarity
symbols (+/-) shown in the battery compartment!
Turn on the LMP NexGen Keypad by switching the lever to the „On“ position. The LMP
NexGen Keypad is now turned on. The LED indicator will flash briefly.
Pairing the LMP NexGen Keypad in Mac OS X

Choose the Apple menu and open the „System Preferences.“ Under „Internet & wireless communication“ (OS X 10.6 and higher)/„Hardware“ (OS X
10.5) you will see a Bluetooth icon. If you do not see the icon, your Mac
does not have Bluetooth.
4 Enable Bluetooth. Under „System Preferences“ click the Bluetooth icon and
make sure you see „Bluetooth: On“ under the „Settings“ tab. If it‘s not tur ned on, click „Turn Bluetooth On.“
4 Click the „+“ tab (setup new device) in the left window to pair a new Bluetooth device (for Mac OS X 10.5 to 10.8). The Bluetooth assistant opens.
(With Mac OS X10.5, the Bluetooth assistant may ask what kind of device
you are going to pair. Choose „keyboard“ and click „continue“). With Mac
OS X 10.9, the Bluetooth assistent searches automatically for new Bluetooth
devices.
4 Press the Pairing Button on the back side of the LMP NexGen Keypad with a pen to set up a connection to your Mac. Once the pairing process has
started, the LMP NexGen Keypad‘s LED will start to flash in green.
4 In the dialog box the device „Bluetooth Keypad“ or „LMP Keypad“ will appear. (If it is not listed, make sure that LMP NexGen Keypad is turned on
and in pairing mode. Then click „Search Again“ in the „Bluetooth Device“
dialog box).
4 Click on „Bluetooth Keypad“ or „LMP Keypad“ and press „continue“. The
Bluetooth Identification Code (8-digit ID for Mac OS X 10.5 to 10.8; 6-digit
ID for 10.9) of the LMP NexGen Keypad will be shown on your screen.
4 Enter the 8-digit or 6-digit ID on your LMP NexGen Keypad according to
the digits shown on your screen and press the „enter“ key on your LMP
NexGen Keypad at the end. Click „OK“ and the LMP NexGen Keypad should
be listed in the „Devices“ tab under „Bluetooth Preferences“ (marked with a
green dot and „connected“).
Make sure that you have Bluetooth support on your Mac and
Mac OS X 10.5 or higher installed. The LMP NexGen Keypad may
work with older Mac OS X but it is not officially supported.
Using the Pairing Button

You may use the pairing button after you have changed the battery (you
need to set up the LMP NexGen Keypad like you did for the first time) or
when the connection is constantly lost, follow the Manual „Pairing the
LMP NexGen Keypad in Mac OS X“
4 If you have used the LMP NexGen Keypad with another Mac computer, you
have to set up the LMP NexGen Keypad again. Follow the Manual „Pairing
the LMP NexGen Keypad in Mac OS X“
When you enter a digit on the LMP NexGen Keypad, it is not
highlighted as with some other Bluetooth devices. Keep entering the digits quickly and press the „en­ter“ key on the LMP
NexGen Keypad at the end. If it takes too long to enter the
8-digit ID or if you have entered a wrong digit, you may have
to enter the ID again.
How to activate the „=“-sign in Windows
4 To assign the „=“-sign‘s position while working in Windows (which is derived from the main keyboard‘s position of the „=“-sign you are using), you
must press a specific double-key combination once. After you have done
it, the LMP NexGen Keypad will remember the position and display the
„=“-sign until you change the main keyboard‘s layout or language. Select
the double-key combination according to the table below.

Example: You are working with an Italian Windows keyboard layout. Thus
you must press the key combination „0“ and „delete “ once. After
this, the LMP NexGen Keypad will always display a“=“ sign when pressing
the „=“ key.

You can find the table on the back side of your LMP NexGen Keypad.
Power Management
The LMP NexGen Keypad has a power safe mode. Once you turn
off your Mac the LMP NexGen Keypad will go to sleep in order
to save battery power. To wake it up, press any key on the LMP
NexGen Keypad and it will re-connect within a few seconds.
4 To power off the LMP NexGen Keypad, move the power lever to the „Off“
position. You should see the message „lost connection“ on you screen.

To power on the LMP Nex Gen Keypad again, move the power lever to the
„On“ position and press any key on the LMP NexGen Keypad. You may see
the message „connected“ on your screen or in the Bluetooth assistant. You
can use the LMP NexGen Keypad again.
4 The LMP NexGen Keypad displays a low-battery warning by flashing LED
in the interval of 1 second on (green) and 1.5 seconds off (no LED). You
should change the battery now to avoid any sudden loss of connection.

To change the battery turn off the LMP NexGen Keypad, insert a of fresh
battery and turn on the Keypad. Press any key and the connection should
be re-established. If you do not get a new connection you may have to
re-pair the LMP NexGen Keypad. Follow the Manual „Pairing the LMP NexGen Keypad in Mac OS X“.
4 The LMP NexGen Keypad greatly reduces the power consumption automatically when it is in idle mode (connected, but no keying). In fact, the power
consumption in idle mode is only about ¼ (about 0.65 mA) of the consumption of the keying mode (typing on the LMP NexGen Keypad; about 3
mA). This feature greatly extends the battery life.
4 The LMP NexGen Keypad uses 1 AA size battery. You can either use non rechargeable or rechargeable battery.
The pairing time of LMP NexGen Keypad with your Mac computer
normally just takes a few seconds. However, it may take up to 40
seconds with some Bluetooth dongles.
FAQ
The LMP NexGen Keypad shows an erratic behavior such as a sudden loss of
connection, sleep mode after a short time (i.e. only a few seconds), no connection
possible when trying to pair
Erratic behavior of the LMP NexGen Keypad can be a result of (too) low battery power.
You should change the batteries now.
Can the LMP NexGen Keypad be connected with various Mac computers, i.e. an
iMac and a MacBook, and switch back and forth?
No, the LMP NexGen Keypad can only be connected with one Mac computer at a time.
When switching to another Mac, the pairing needs to be re-done. It is recom­mended to
delete the „Bluetooth Keypad“ or „LMP Keypad“ first before re-pairing is performed. You
can delete it by choosing the „Bluetooth Keypad“ or „LMP Keypad“ and clicking on the
„-“ sign in the left window. Follow the steps under „Bluetooth Pairing under Mac OS X“.
The „clear“ key has a different function under Windows!
While working in Windows the „clear“ key acts as numlock key. By pressing numlock,
the LMP NexGen Keypad can be used according to the layout below. To go back to
numbers, press the „clear“ key again.
The LMP NexGen Keypad does not work
anymore with Windows OS
You may have accidentally pressed the
„clear“ key, which locks the LMP NexGen
Keypad (numlock function). Unlock the
LMP NexGen Keypad by pressing „clear“
again.
Can the battery power status be read in
the Apple System Preferences like with
the Apple wireless keyboard?
No, there is no reading for the current
battery power status on your screen. However, the LED will start flashing (1 second
on, 1.5 seconds off) to indicate low power.
You should change the battery to avoid
any loss of connection.
When using the LMP NexGen Keypad with my iPad it does not work properly.
The LMP NexGen Keypad is specifically designed to work with desktop or portable Mac
computers. It does not support iPad which is clearly stated on the packaging. The iPad
allows only one keyboard/input device to be connected at a time. Thus if you connect
the LMP NexGen Keypad, the internal iPad keyboard is non-operational.
On the LMP NexGen Keypad, there is a „.“ (decimal) key. In my language, the „,“ is
used as the decimal sign. Will the LMP NexGen Keypad display a „.“ or a „,“?
Whether the LMP NexGen Keypad displays a (decimal) „.“ or a (decimal) „,“ depends on
the Mac OS installed (keyboard layout/language), i.e. in French OS/keyboard layout, the
decimal key displays a „,“ while in Swiss OS/keyboard layout, a „.“ is displayed. You may
change the default setting of the decimal sign here: „System Preferences“ –> „language“
–> „Text“ –> „Region“. Go to „Numbers“ and select „Configure“. A table will be shown
where you can set the decimal sign to „.“ or „,“. Note that this will only apply to certain
programs such as MS Excel (while in MS Word it will be using the OS default).
During the pairing process with the Mac, there is a window displayed called
„Keyboard identification“. I am supposed to press the key next to the shift key.
But there is no shift key on the LMP NexGen Keypad. What do I need to do?
The message can be ignored. Simply press the red button in the upper left corner to
close this win-dow. Your Mac will recognize the LMP NexGen Keypad.
The connection to my Mac is lost from time to time or lost completely. The
Bluetooth Keypad does not seem to be connected anymore to my Mac. This
happened after I updated the OS.
An update of the OS can lead to a damaged Bluetooth thread as well as other reasons
such inter-ferences from other electronic devices or system crashes. Follow these steps
to renew the Bluetooth connection:
1) Remove all entries of „Bluetooth Keypad“ or „LMP Keypad“ in the Bluetooth Assistant‘s menu by selecting them and pressing the „-“ button in the lower left corner.
2) Turn off the Mac and Bluetooth Keypad.
3) Start your Mac and turn it off again (after the OS has booted without any entries of
the LMP NexGen Keypad in its Bluetooth directory).
4) Start your Mac again and install the LMP NexGen Keypad from scratch. The connection should be re-established.

entschieden haben! Das LMP NexGen Keypad kann mit jedem Bluetooth-fähigen Mac
Computer verbunden und benutzt werden1.
Bevor Sie das LMP NexGen Keypad in Betrieb nehmen, sollten Sie dieses
Handbuch sowie die FAQ sorgfältig studieren!

Überblick
Erste Schritte
Legen Sie das LMP NexGen Keypad, Rückseite gegen oben, auf eine nicht rutschfeste
Unterlage. …Öffnen Sie das Batteriefach, indem Sie mit beiden Daumen vorsichtig auf
die mit Pfeilen markierten Stellen drücken, bis Sie ein Klicken hören. Entfernen Sie die
Batteriefach Abdeckung.
Setzen Sie die mitgelieferte AA Batterie ein.
Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Batterie gemäss den vorgegebenen
Polaritäts­symbolen (+/-) im Batteriefach eingesetzt wird!
Schalten Sie das LMP NexGen Keypad ein, indem Sie den Einschalthebel in die Position
„On“ bewegen. Das Keypad ist jetzt eingeschaltet. Die LED blinkt anschliessend kurz auf.
Bluetooth Verbindung unter Mac OS X
4 Öffnen Sie das Menü „Systemeinstellungen“. Unter „Internet & Drahtlose
Kommunikation“ (Mac OS X 10.6 und höher)/„Hardware“ (Mac OS X 10.5
sollten Sie das Bluetooth Symbol finden. Falls dies nicht der Fall ist, verfügt
der Mac nicht über Bluetooth.
4 Gehen Sie zu „Systemeinstellungen“ g „Bluetooth“. Stellen Sie sicher, dass
Bluetooth aktiviert ist, indem Sie das Häkchen in „Aktiviert“ gesetzt haben.
Drücken Sie „+“ in der unteren linken Ecke des Fensters (Ab Mac OS X 10.9
sucht Ihr Mac automatisch nach neuen Bluetooth Geräten).
4 Drücken Sie den Pairing Knopf auf der Rückseite des LMP NexGen Keypads mit einem spitzigen Gegenstand, um das LMP NexGen Keypad beim
Mac anzumelden. Die LED des LMP NexGen Keypads blinkt grün; Ihr Mac
sollte das LMP NexGen Keypad nun als „Bluetooth Keypad“ oder „LMP Keypad“ auflisten. Drücken Sie anschliessend auf „Fortfahren“.
4 Im Dialogfeld sollte nun „Bluetooth Keypad“ oder „LMP Keypad“ stehen.
Falls dies nicht der Fall ist, kontrollieren Sie, ob das LMP NexGen Keypad
eingeschaltet ist und drücken Sie nochmals den Pairing Knopf. Drücken
Sie anschliessend „Fortfahren“.
4 Wählen Sie „Bluetooth Keypad“ oder „LMP Keypad“ und drücken Sie auf
„Fortfahren“. Es erscheint ein 8-stelliger Zahlencode (bei Mac OS X 10.5 bis
10.8; ab 10.9 ist es ein 6-stelliger Zahlencode).
4 Geben Sie diese Zahlen auf Ihrem LMP NexGen Keypad ein und drücken
Sie anschliessend die „enter“ Taste (ebenfalls auf dem LMP NexGen Keypad!). Drücken Sie „OK“; das LMP NexGen Keypad sollte nun im Bluetooth
Dialogfeld (mit grünem Punkt und „Verbunden“) aufgelistet sein.
Stellen Sie sicher, dass Ihr Mac Bluetooth unterstützt und dass
Sie OS X 10.5 oder höher installiert haben. Das LMP NexGen
Keypad kann auch mit älteren Mac OS X arbeiten, was aber vom
Hersteller nicht offiziell unterstützt wird.
Gebrauch des Pairing Knopfes
4 Es kann sein, dass nach einem Batteriewechsel das LMP NexGen Keypad
neu verbunden werden muss (dies muss aber nicht der Fall sein! Versuchen
Sie, ob das LMP NexGen Keypad nach dem Einschalten erkannt wird und
funktionsfähig ist, indem Sie auf eine beliebige Taste drücken). Ist dies
nicht der Fall, folgen Sie der Anleitung „Bluetooth Verbindung unter Mac
OS X“.
4 Falls das LMP NexGen Keypad mit einem anderen Mac verbunden resp.
benutzt wurde, müssen Sie das LMP NexGen Keypad neu verbinden. Fol
gen Sie der Anleitung „Bluetooth Verbindung unter Mac OS X“.
Bei der Eingabe der ID werden die eingegebenen Ziffern
nicht, wie bei gewissen anderen Bluetooth Geräten, speziell
gekennzeichnet. Geben Sie die Ziffern zügig ein und drücken
Sie anschliessend die „enter“ Taste auf dem LMP NexGen Keypad. Falls Sie dabei zu viel Zeit benötigt oder eine falsche Ziffer
eingegeben haben, muss die ID nochmals eingeben werden.
Aktivieren des „=“-Zeichens unter Windows
4 Um das „=“-Zeichen unter Windows unter den verschiedenen länderspezifischen Tastaturlayouts benützen zu können, müssen Sie zu Beginn einmalig eine Tastenkombination auf dem LMP NexGen Keypad ausführen. Danach wird das LMP NexGen Keypad die Einstellung gespeichert haben, und
Sie können so lange das „=“-Zeichen anzeigen lassen wie Sie mit der gleichen Ländereinstellung fortfahren. Sollten Sie eine neue Ländereinstellung
resp. eine andere Tastatur benutzen, so muss der Vorgang wiederum einmalig wiederholt werden.

Beispiel: Sie arbeiten mit einem deutschen Windows OS. Um das „=“-Zeichen korrekt anzuzeigen, müssen Sie einmalig die Tastenkombination „0“
& „delete “ drücken. Das LMP NexGen Keypad ist nun so eingestellt, dass
beim Drücken des „=“-Zeichens auch tatsächlich ein „=“ erscheint, sowohl
unter Mac als auch unter Windows.

Energiemanagement
Normalerweise werden nur wenige Sekunden benötigt, um die
Verbindung zum Mac wiederherzustellen. Beim Gebrauch eines
Bluetooth USB Dong-les kann es sein, dass die Verbindung erst
nach längerer Zeit (bis 40 Sek.) zustande kommt.
4 Um das LMP NexGen Keypad auszuschalten, führen Sie den Schalter in die
Position „Off“. Sie sollten auf dem Bildschirm die Meldung „Verbindung
verloren“ sehen. Das LMP NexGen Keypad ist nun ausgeschaltet und die
Verbindung zum Mac unterbrochen.
4 Um das LMP NexGen Keypad wieder einzuschalten, bringen Sie den Ein
schalthebel in die Position „On“ und drücken Sie eine beliebige Taste. Die
Verbindung ist damit wieder hergestellt (im Bluetooth Menü sehen Sie den
grünen Punkt und „Verbunden“). Die LED Anzeige blinkt für kurze Zeit.
4 Das LMP NexGen Keypad zeigt an, wenn die Batterie fast leer ist, indem die
LED Anzeige zu blinken beginnt (Intervall: 1 Sekunde grün,1.5 Sekunden
nichts). Die Batterie sollte dann sobald als möglich gewechselt werden.

Schalten Sie das LMP NexGen Keypad aus, tauschen Sie die Batterie aus,
schalten Sie das LMP NexGen Keypad wieder ein und drücken Sie eine beliebige Taste. Die Verbindung zum Mac sollte nun automatisch hergestellt
werden. Falls die Verbindung nicht hergestellt wird, folgen Sie der Anleitung „Bluetooth Verbindung unter Mac OS X“.
4 Das LMP NexGen Keypad verringert im Betriebszustand ohne aktives Arbeiten (Idle Modus) den Energieverbrauch auf ca. ¼ des Verbrauchs (ca. 0.65
mA) während des aktiven Arbei­tens ist dieser ca. 3 mA. Dadurch wird die
Batterielebensdauer erheblich verlängert.
4 Zum Einsatz kommt eine AA Batterie. Sie können wahlweise eine AA Ein weg-Batterie oder eine wiederaufladbare Batterie (Akku) einsetzen.
Das LMP NexGen Keypad verfügt über einen Schlafmodus,
welcher nach rund 10 Min. Inaktivität des Mac automatisch
eingeschaltet wird. Drücken Sie einfach eine Taste auf dem LMP
NexGen Keypad, um den Schlafmodus zu beenden.
FAQ
Das LMP NexGen Keypad weist eine „.“-Taste (Dezimalzeichen) auf. In meiner
Sprache wird ein „,“ als Dezimalzeichen verwendet. Welches Zeichen wird der LMP
NexGen Keypad ausgeben?
Ob das LMP NexGen Keypad ein „.“ oder ein „,“ als Dezimalzeichen ausgibt, hängt vom
verwendeten Mac OS X (gewählte Landeseinstellung für die Tastatur) ab. So wird in der
deutschen Landeseinstellung ein „,“ als Dezimalzeichen ausgegeben, während in der
Schweizerischen Landeseinstellung ein „.“ ausgegeben wird. Um das Dezimalzeichen
zu ändern, gehen Sie in die „Systemeinstellungen“ –> „Sprache & Text“ –> „Region“ –>.
Unter „Zahlen“ klicken Sie auf „Anpassen“ und wählen das gewünschte Format aus.
Tastenkombinationen wie z.B. „cmd“ & „+“ (für die Vergrösserung von Text in
Pages) oder „cmd“ & „-“ (Verkleinerung) funktionieren nicht in Kombination mit
der Apple wireless Tastatur.
Tastatur und LMP NexGen Keypad werden vom Mac OS als zwei separate Geräte wahrgenommen. Deshalb funktioniert die Kombination von zwei Tasten auf Tastatur resp.
LMP NexGen Keypad zu einem einzigen Befehl nicht.
Die „clear“ Taste hat bei der Verwendung unter Windows unterschiedliche
und teilweise seltsame Funktionen, z.B.
vorwärts Löschen, rückwärts Löschen,
keine Funktion, numlock etc.
Unter Windows OS funktioniert „clear“ als
numlock Taste. Die Funktion der einzelnen
Tasten entspricht der Abildung rechts. Es
ist keine Zahleneingabe möglich. Kehren
Sie zurück zur Zahleneingabe, indem Sie
nochmals auf die Taste „clear“ drücken.

Kann ich den Batterieladezustand irgendwo ablesen wie beim Apple Keyboard?
Nein, es gibt keine Anzeige, die den Batterieladezustand angibt. Wenn die Batteriekapazität tief ist, beginnt die LED zu blinken (in Intervallen von 1 Sek. LED an und 1.5 Sek.
LED aus).
Kann das LMP NexGen Keypad mit verschiedenen Mac gleichzeitig verbunden
sein, z.B. mit meinem iMac und meinem MacBook? Kann ich also mit dem LMP

Wenn ich das LMP NexGen Keypad mit meinem iPad verwenden möchte,
funktioniert dies nicht zufriedenstellend.
Das LMP NexGen Keypad wurde speziell für den Gebrauch mit Mac Desktop und Laptop Geräten konzipiert. iPad werden nicht unterstützt, was auf der Ver­packung klar gekennzeichnet ist. iPads können nur mit EINER Engabeguelle (Tastatur etc.) verbunden
werden; nach dem Verbinden mit dem LMP NexGen Keypad kann die interne Tastatur
nicht mehr benutzt werden.
Das LMP NexGen Keypad zeigt ein erratisches Verhalten wie z.B. einen plötzlichen
Verlust der Verbindung nach wenigen Sekunden ohne Gebrauch oder gar keine
Verbindung zum Mac.
Erratisches Verhalten rührt von geringer Batteriespannung. Wechseln Sie die Batterien.
Mein Mac erkennt das LMP NexGen Keypad des öfteren nicht oder die Verbindung
wird immer wieder unterbrochen (LMP NexGen Keypad meldet sich ab). Dies
passierte, nachdem ich auf eine neue Version des OS gewechselt hatte.
Es kann vorkommen, dass (speziell nach einem Update auf ein neues OS) der Bluetooth
Pfad beschädigt ist und die Verbindung vom LMP NexGen Keypad zum Mac darunter
leidet oder ganz unterbrochen ist. Es empfiehlt sich eine komplette Neuinstallation:
1) De-installieren Sie alle Einträge im Bluetooth Assistenten mit der Taste „-“.
2) Schalten Sie das LMP NexGen Keypad und den Mac aus.
3) Starten Sie den Mac auf und schalten Sie ihn danach wieder aus. Der Mac sollte
mindestens einmal ohne Bluetooth Einträge vollständig gestartet worden sein.
4) Starten Sei den Mac erneut (sowie das LMP NexGen Keypad) und führen Sie die
Installationsschritte aus.

Merci d‘avoir opté pour le LMP NexGen Keypad WKP-803 de Bluetooth! Vous pouvez
utiliser le LMP NexGen Keypad comme appareil indépendant avec n‘importe quel ordinateur Mac équipé de Bluetooth1.
Avant de commencer à travailler avec le WKP-803, veuillez lire
attentivement ce manuel ainsi que la rubrique FAQ.
Voir les conditions préalables requises en matière de système sur l‘emballage. Certains adaptateurs
Bluetooth Dongle ne supportent pas toutes les fonctions. Le LMP NexGen Keypad ne fonctionne pas

Vue d‘ensemble
Pour commencer
Tenez des deux mains le pavé numérique LMP sur l‘envers. Ouvrez le compartiment
à piles en ressant doucement sur les endroits indiqués par les flèches à l‘aide de vos
pouces jusqu‘à ce que vous entendiez un déclic. Retirez le couvercle du compartiment.
Installez la pile AA livrée avec l‘appareil.
Aussurez-vous que vous avez bien installé la pile dans le
compartiment en respectant les symboles de polarité (+ et -)
Déplacez le commutateur sur la position „On“. Le pavé numérique LMP est donc prêt à
travailler.
Connexion Bluetooth sous Mac OS X
4 Ouvrez les Préférences Système à partir du menu Pomme en sélectionnant
l‘article en question. Sous „Internet et communication sans fil“ ou „Matériel“
vous devriez voir le symbole Bluetooth. Si ce n‘est pas le cas, cela veut dire
que votre Mac n‘est pas équipé Bluetooth. g Cliquez sur le symbole Bluetooth dans la barre des menus et choisissez „Ouvrir Préféren ce Système“.
4 Activez Bluetooth en sélectionnant le symbole correspondant sous Préférences Système. Assurez-vous que la fonction est „activée“ et le périphérique „détectable“: les deux cases doivent être cochées. Pour une navigation
plus rapide, il est recommandé de cocher la case „Afficher l‘état Bluetooth
dans la barre des menus“.
4 Cliquez sur le symbole „+“ dans la fenêtre de gauche afin de connecter un
nouvel appareil Bluetooth. L‘assistant Bluetooth s‘affiche (sous Mac OS X
10.5 apparaît éventuellement un menu proposant une sélection d‘appareils
Bluetooth. Choisissez „Clavier“ puis „Continuer“). Sous Mac OS X 10.9, votre
ordinateur recherche automatiquement de nouveaux appareils Bluetooth.
4 Appuyez avec la pointe d‘un stylo bille sur le bouton de couplage au dos
de votre pavé numérique LMP afin d‘établir la connexion entre ce dernier
et votre Mac. Le voyant LED se met à clignoter en vert; le pavé numérique
LMP identifié par votre ordinateur devrait alors s‘afficher dans la liste sous
la dénomination de „Bluetooth Keypad“ ou „LMP Keypad“ g „Continuer“.
4 Dans la fenêtre de dialogue, vous devriez voir maintenant „Bluetooth Keypad“ ou „LMP Keypad“. Si ce n‘est pas le cas, contrôlez que le pavé numérique LMP est bien activé et pressez encore une fois sur le bouton de couplage. Cliquez ensuite sur „Continuer“. Cliquez sur „Bluetooth Keypad“ ou
„LMP Keypad“ puis sur „Continuer“. Le code NIP du pavé numérique LMP
apparaît dans la boîte de dialogue.
4 Saisissez le code NIP à 8 chiffres (sous Mac OS X 10.9 vous avez 6 chiffres)
de votre pavé numérique LMP et pressez sur la touche „enter“ du pavé numérique LMP. Validez en appuyant sur „OK“. Le pavé numérique LMP devrait
alors s‘afficher dans la fenêtre de gauche de la boîte de dialogue Bluetooth.
Assurez-vous que votre Mac dispose d‘un module Bluetooth ou
d‘un adaptateur USB Bluetooth compatible et qu‘un système
OS X 10.5 ou ultérieur a été installé. Le pavé numérique LMP
fonctionne également avec le système OS X, bien que le
fabricant ne se charge plus du support.
Comment utiliser le bouton de couplage
4 Il se peut que vous soyez obligé de reconnecter le pavé numérique LMP
après avoir changé les piles (ce n‘est pas toujours le cas - essayez d‘abord
de voir si, une fois le clavier allumé, l‘ordinateur identifie le pavé numérique
et s‘il fonctionne). Suivez les étapes „Connexion Bluetooth sous Mac OS X“.
4 Au cas où vous auriez connecté ou utilisé le pavé numérique LMP avec un
autre Mac, vous devrez procéder à nouveau à l‘enregistrement de votre
pavé numérique LMP. Suivez les étapes du chapitre précédent, „Connexion
Bluetooth sous Mac OS X“.
Lorsque vous saisissez le code NIP, les chiffres ne sont pas surlignés, comme c‘est le cas avec certains appareils Bluetooth.
Entrez les chiffres rapidement et pressez ensuite sur la touche
„enter “ de votre pavé numérique LMP. Si vous prenez trop de
temps pour le faire ou que vous entrez un chiffre erroné, vous
devrez saisir une nouvelle fois votre code NIP.
Activation du symbole „=“ sous Windows
4 En travaillant sous Windows, il faut activer le symbole „=“ avec une combi
naison des touches qui correspond avec la langue du Windows en usage.
En faisant une fois cette combinaison, le symbole „=“ sera utilisable jusqu‘à
ce qu‘une autre combinaison sera appuyée.

Gestion de l‘énergie
Normalement, quelques secondes suffisent pour rétablir la
connexion entre le pavé numérique LMP et le Mac. Mais en
cas d‘utilisation d‘adaptateurs USB Bluetooth Dongle, il peut
arriver que la connexion demande plus de temps (jusqu‘à 40
secondes).
4 Pour désactiver le pavé numérique, vous déplacez le commutateur dans
la position „Off“. Le message „Connexion interrompue“ devrait s‘afficher
à l‘écran. Le pavé numérique est alors désactivé.
4 Pour allumer à nouveau le pavé numérique LMP, déplacez le commutateur
de nouveau dans la position „On“ et appuyez sur un bouton de votre pavé
numérique LMP.
4 Le pavé numérique LMP indique quand la batterie est presque vide par la
LED commence à clignoter (intervalle: 1 seconde verte, pas 1,5 secondes).
La pile doit être remplacée dès que possible.

Tournez le pavé numérique LMP, remplacez la pile, tourner à nouveau le
pavé numérique LMP et appuyez sur n‘importe quelle touche. La connexion à l‘ordinateur Mac doit maintenant être fait automatiquement. Si la
connexion n‘est pas établie, suivez les instructions „connexion Bluetooth
sur Mac OS X“
4 Quand il est en mode veille (connecté, mais pas actif ), le pavé numérique
LMP réduit automatiquement sa consommation d‘énergie d‘env. ¼ (environ
0.65 mA contre 3 mA lorsqu‘il est utilisé). La durée de vie des piles s‘en trouve considérablement augmentée.
4 L‘appareil est alimenté par une pile AA. Vous pouvez également utiliser une
pile rechargeable de même type.
Afin de ménager la pile, Il n‘est pas nécessaire d‘éteindre le
pavé numérique LMP. Le pavé possède un mode veille qui est
activé automatiquement après 10 minutes lorsque le Mac a
été désactivé. Pour réveiller, vous avez à faire d‘appuyer sur un
bouton du pavé numérique LMP.
FAQ
Le pavé numérique LMP présente un comportement erratique, p.ex. une
interruption soudaine de la connexion au bout de quelques secondes en mode
veille, voire aucune connexion possible vers le Mac.
Ce comportement erratique provient d‘une (trop) faible tension des piles. Changez-les.
Le voyant lumineux (LED) indique (1 second en vert ensuite 1.5 second sans lumière)
que les batteries sont assez vides et doivent être changer.
Certains raccourcis clavier avec la touche „cmd“ (p.ex. „cmd+“ ou „cmd-“ pour
agrandir ou réduire la taille des caractères du texte) ne fonctionnent pas en
combinaison avec le clavier sans fil Apple.
Le clavier et le pavé numérique LMP sont perçus par le système Mac OS comme deux
appareils distincts. C‘est la raison pour laquelle la combinaison de deux touches
du clavier ou du pavé numérique LMP pour créer un seul ordre de commande ne
fonctionne pas.
Sous Windows la touche „clear“ fonction comme „numlock“. Les touches
fontionnat comme les symboles sur
la figure en droite.
Vous pouvez déverrouiller le pavé nummérique LMP en appuyant une nouvelle
fois sur la touche „clear“.
Le pavé numérique LMP ne réagit plus
lorsque je travaille avec Windows OS.
Vous avez appuyé par inadvertance sur
la touche „clear“ et activé la fonction de
verrouillage. Vous pouvez déverrouiller
le pavé numérique LMP en appuyant une
nouvelle fois sur la touche „clear“.
Lorsque je veux utiliser le pavé numérique LMP avec mon iPad, il ne fonctionne
pas correctement.
Le pavé numérique LMP a été spécialement conçu pour être utilisé avec un
ordi-nateur de bureau ou portable Mac, et
donc, il ne fonctionne pas avec l‘iPad, ce
qui est clairement indiqué sur l‘emballage.
Le pavé numérique LMP peut-il être raccordé en même temps à plusieurs
ordinateurs Mac, p.ex. à mon iMac et à mon MacBook ? Autrement dit,
est-ce que je peux passer d‘un appareil à l‘autre avec le même pavé numérique
LMP?
Non. Le pavé numérique LMP ne peut être raccordé qu‘à un seul Mac à la fois. Si vous
voulez l‘utiliser sur un autre Mac, il vous faudra établir à nouveau la connexion. Dans
ce cas, nous vous recommandons d‘annuler d‘abord la première connexion „Bluetooth
Keypad“ au moyen de la touche „-“, puis de vous connecter de nouveau en suivant la
procédure indiquée dans le chapitre „Connexion Bluetooth sous Mac OS X“.
Est-ce que je peux voir quelque part l‘état des piles (capacité restante) comme sur
le clavier sans fil Apple?
Non. Il n‘y a aucun affichage indiquant l‘état des piles. Lorsque la capacité est faible,
le pavé numérique LMP a un comportement erratique, p.ex. la connexion avec le Mac
s‘interrompt constamment. Le voyant lumineux (LED) indique (1 second en vert ensuite
1.5 second sans lumière) que les batteries sont assez vides et doivent être changer.
Le pavé numérique LMP présente une touche „.“ dite „touche décimale“. Or, dans
ma langue, on utilise un „,“ comme signe décimal. Quel signe vais-je obtenir avec
le pavé numérique LMP?
Cela dépendra du système Mac OS X que vous utilisez. Sur un clavier allemand OS, vous
obtiendrez une virgule, tandis qu‘avec un clavier suisse OS, vous obtiendrez un point.
Lors de l‘établissement de la connexion du pavé numérique LMP au Mac, un
message „Identification de clavier“ s‘affiche à l‘écran. L‘utilisateur est censé
appuyer sur la touche se trouvant à côté de la touche „Maj“ („shift“). Or, le pavé
numérique LMP n‘a pas de touche „shift“. Que faire?
Vous pouvez ignorer le message. Appuyez sur le bouton rouge dans l‘angle supérieur
gauche pour fermer la fenêtre. Votre Mac identifiera ensuite le pavé numérique LMP
sans problème.

Información general
Cómo Empezar
Mantenga el teclado LMP al revés con ambas manos. Abra el compartimiento de la
batería presionando suavemente sobre las flechas con sus dos pulgares hasta que
escuche un clic. Retire la tapa de la batería de la parte trasera del teclado LMP.
Inserte la pila AA suministrada.

Administración de energía
El tiempo de vinculación del teclado LMP con su Mac

Para cambiar la batería apague el teclado LMP NexGen, inserte una nueva

4 El teclado LMP NexGen reduce considerablemente el consumo de energía
cuando está en modo de reposo (conectado, pero si usarse). De hecho, el
consumo en el modo inactivo es sólo acerca de ¼ (aproximadamente 0,65
mA) del conconsumo del modo activo (escribiendo con el teclado LMP
NexGen; sobre 3 mA). Esta función amplía en gran medida la vida de la
batería.
4 El teclado LMP utiliza 1 pila de tipo AA. Puede utilizar pilas tanto recargab
les como no recargables.
Para ahorrar energía, se recomienda apagar el teclado LMP si el
teclado LMP no se utiliza durante un período largo.

El teclado LMP muestra un comportamiento errático perdiendo la conexión,
en-trando en reposo tras poco tiempo (p.e. tras sólo unos segundos), no es posible
conectarlo cuando se intenta emparejarlo, etc.
Un comportamiento errático del teclado LMP puede ser resultado de una (muy) baja
carga de batería. Debe cambiar las baterías ahora.
La tecla „borrar“ bajo Windows tiene a veces diferentes y extrañas funciones como „Supr“, „retroceso“, ninguna función, bloqueo numérico, borrarlo todo, etc.
El teclado LMP está diseñado para trabajar con Mac Os X. En cualquier caso, puede
utilizarse con ciertos SO de Windows y ser programado también, aunque sin soporte
del fabricante. La tecla „borrar“ bajo Windows es básicamente equivalente a BloqNum.
De todos modos, puede tener diferentes funciones dependiendo del software que
esté siendo utilizado. Este atajo no puede ser cambiado. Use „Delete“ y „Supr“ para
eliminar cualquier carácter e intente evitar utilizar la tecla „borrar“ mientras trabaje con
Windows.
El teclado LMP ha dejado de funcionar
con Windows
Puede que haya presionado accidentalmente la tecla „delete“, lo cual bloquea
el teclado LMP (BloqNum en ciertos

Bluetooth“ y presionando el signo „-“ en la

No, no hay posibilidad de lectura del estado de la batería. Cuando la batería sea baja,
el teclado LMP tendrá un comportamiento errático perdiendo la conexión, mostrando
dificultades para emparejarlo, etc.
Cuando utilizo el teclado LMP con mi iPad no funciona correctamente. El WKP-803
está específicamente diseñado para trabajar con equipos Mac de sobremesa o portátiles. No funciona con ningún iPad, lo cual está claramente indicado en el embalaje.
En el teclado LMP hay una tecla „.“ (decimal). En mi idioma, se utiliza el „,“ para indicar los decimales. ÀPuede el teclado LMP mostrar una „,“ en vez de „.“? Depende
del sistema operativo (OS), si el teclado numérico escribe una coma („,“) o un punto („.“)
como punto decimal.
Durante el proceso de emparejamiento del teclado LMP con el equipo Mac,
aparece una ventana llamada „Identificación de Teclado“. Debería presionar la
tecla cercana a la tecla shift, pero no hay tecla shift en el teclado LMP. ÀQué debo
hacer? El mensaje puede ser ignorado. Simplemente presione el botón rojo en la esquina superior izquierda para cerrar esta ventana. Su Mac reconocerá inmediatamente
el teclado LMP.
La conexión a mi Mac se pierde aleatoriamente o se pierde completamente. El Teclado Bluetooth no parece estar ya conectado a mi Mac. Esto ha sucedido tras actualizar el SO. Una actualización del SO puede llevar a dañar la conexión Bluetooth, así como otras razones como interferencias de otros dispositivos electrónicos o
