Teaching Peace introduces us to the students and teachers at Vasa Pelagic School in Belgrade,
Serbia, where Hetty van Gurp helps teach the language of peace to a generation of kids who have
known only war. Raised to be Heroes uses the unforgettable experiences of Israel’s Refuseniks to
inspire an essential dialogue about peace, democracy and personal responsibility.
Director Olivier Assayas films the encounter between Stockhausen, the composer and legendary
inventor of electro-acoustic music, and choreographer Angelin Preljocaj, focusing on the creation
of the ballet Eldorado. In French with English subtitles.

The first weekend of every month, join our animation workshops for children aged 3 to 13.
Each month offers a new animation technique and theme!

April showers bring... April flowers! Spring into Daffodil Month by creating your own garden!
May 7 and 8 | 3D clay
Active Healthy Kids Day falls in May — keep the energy going all month by animating your
favourite activity!

Animation Workshop in French
(3D clay) Embark on your own boating adventure and animate the creatures that you encounter along
the way! Inspired by Jean-Rock Gaudreault’s play La migration des oiseaux invisibles, presented by
Théâtre Français de Toronto on April 30.

Six Miles Deep dresse un portrait inspirant et captivant d’un groupe de femmes de Calédonia,
Ontario, dont les actes ont suscité un réveil culturel dans cette communauté traditionnellement
matriarcale. From Baghdad to Peace Country relate comment un voyage à Bagdad a amené
l’artiste canadien Deryk Houston à changer la thématique de son œuvre. Désormais, sa toile sera la
Terre et son inspiration, la paix.
