  Créé en 1983, le centre de formation de musiciens
intervenants (CFMI) est un institut d’Aix-Marseille
Université placé sous la double tutelle du Ministère
de la culture et du Ministère de l’enseignement
supérieur et de la recherche. Il accueille des étudiants
dotés d’une solide formation musicale, désireux
d’acquérir un diplôme leur garantissant une insertion
professionnelle avoisinant les 100%. Le cadre d’emploi
des titulaires du diplôme universitaire de musicien
intervenant (DUMI) est celui d’assistant territorial
d’enseignement artistique de la fonction publique
territoriale.

  Founded in 1983, the Training Center for Music
Facilitators (CFMI – Centre de Formation de Musiciens
Intervenants) is an Aix-Marseille University institute
operating under the dual authority of the Ministry of
Culture and the Ministry of Higher Education and Research.
It welcomes students with a solid musical background
who want to acquire a diploma that gives them nearly
100% certainty of finding a job. Graduates with the Music
Facilitator University Degree (DUMI – Diplôme Universitaire
de Musicien Intervenant) find jobs as territorial assistants
in artistic education in the local public service.

LE CENTRE DE FORMATION
THE TRAINING CENTER
Un cursus en deux ans (1 500 heures) fondé sur une
pédagogie de projet articulant en permanence apports
techniques, théoriques, réflexifs, méthodologiques
et mises en situations diversifiées sur des terrains
d’application répartis sur l’ensemble de la région PACA.
A two-year program (1,500 hours) focusing on projectbased teaching that constantly combines technical,
reflective, methodological and diverse role-play
contributions in fields of application throughout the
PACA region.
Les titulaires du DUMI sont à même de concevoir et mener
des projets ouverts et structurés, en lien avec différents
partenaires (école élémentaire, conservatoires ou écoles
de musique, structures culturelles, milieu hospitalier,
carcéral, associatif, etc.).
DUMI graduates are able to design and carry out open
and structured projects in cooperation with different
partners (elementary schools, conservatories and music
schools, cultural organizations, hospitals, prisons,
associations, etc.).
La formation se construit autour de 8 modules
d’enseignement : chant choral, interprétation,
démarches d’invention, interventions en milieu
spécialisé, pratiques collectives, conception de projets
en lien avec des structures culturelles ou à l’école.
The training is organized into 8 teaching modules:
choral singing, interpretation, inventive approaches,
interventions in specialized environments, collective
practices, designing projects in cooperation with cultural
organizations and schools.
Depuis la rentrée 2014-2015, le centre est porteur d’un projet
d’envergure nationale dans le cadre de la restructuration
des enseignements supérieurs de la musique en pôles
régionaux : mutualisation des plans de formation du CFMI
et du centre de formation des enseignants de musique
(CEFEDEM-Sud) pour un DE-DUMI en 3 ans.
Since the beginning of the 2014-2015 school year, the
center has been supporting a project of nation-wide
importance as part of the restructuring of higher musical
education into regional centers: pooling the training
plans at the CFMI and the music teacher training center
(CEFEDEM-Sud) for a 3-year DE-DUMI program.

HOSPITAL SYSTEM
En collaboration avec l’éducation nationale et les structures
culturelles de la région PACA, elles permettent à plusieurs
centaines d’écoliers de s’initier aux langages musicaux
contemporains.
Elles visent à appréhender la réalité artistique du territoire
pour en comprendre les attentes en termes de médiation et
d’ouverture pédagogique, avec des conséquences directes
en termes de création d’emplois et de mise en réseau.
Elles sont un gage d’exigence aux contenus diversifiés de la
formation que les étudiants s’approprient lors de concerts ou
de réalisations de spectacles, notamment pour le jeune public.
Ils sont proposés à des détenus volontaires du centre
pénitentiaire de Luynes et débouchent sur des concerts
rencontres entre étudiants et personnes incarcérées.
Il engage à une véritable réflexion sur les échanges
intergénérationnels et interculturels impliquant un travail
de médiation, de transmission, de création (collectage,
arrangement et restitution de chansons auprès de patients
et de membres du personnel).
In cooperation with the national education system and the
cultural organizations in the PACA region, they give several
hundred schoolchildren an opportunity to get an introduction
to contemporary musical languages.
These aim to increase awareness of the artistic reality in the
region in order to understand needs and expectations in terms
of mediation and an open educational approach, with direct
consequences for job creation and networking.
These provide a demanding approach to the diverse content in
the training course that students learn during concerts and
when putting on shows, notably for young audiences.
They are offered to volunteer inmates at the Luynes prison
complex and these give rise to concert-meetings between
students and people in prison.
A real discussion on intergenerational and intercultural
exchanges has been undertaken. This involves mediation,
transmission and creation (collecting, arranging and
reproducing songs with patients and members of the
personnel).
