RESTORATION OF OUR HISTORIC ACADIAN HOUSES
The public is invited to attend two presentations illustrated by numerous photos at the Acadian
Museum, in Miscouche, on Sunday, March 18th. At 2:00 p.m., in English, Grady Poe will speak
of his restoration of an Acadian house in Egmont Bay. At 2:45 p.m., in French, Théo Thériault will
speak of his restoration of a historic house in Wellington, and also of restorations in the churches
of Tignish, Mont-Carmel, and Miscouche. Free admission (storm date: March 25th).
RESTAURATION DE NOS VIEILLES MAISONS ACADIENNES
Le public est invité à deux présentations illustrées de nombreuses photos au Musée acadien, à
Miscouche, le dimanche 18 mars. À 14h00, en anglais, Grady Poe parlera de sa restauration
d’une maison acadienne à Baie-Egmont. À 14h45, en français, Théo Thériault présentera sa
restauration d’une ancienne maison de Wellington, et aussi de restaurations dans les églises de
Tignish, Mont-Carmel et Miscouche. Entrée gratuite (date de tempête: 25 mars).
CHILDREN’S MOVIE NIGHT ON THE BIG SCREEN
The Tignish Grade 9 confirmation class are putting on a children’s movie on the big screen at the
Tignish Parish Center on Monday, March 19th at 6:30 p.m. Admission is $3. Good movie for
elementary school aged children.
COMMUNITY OF TIGNISH
The Residents’ Annual Meeting will be held on Monday, March 19th (storm date is March 20th), at
7:00 p.m. in the Tignish Fire Station Clubroom, 241 Church Street. Residents will be voting on
the projected 2012 budget. Hope to see you at the Annual. Refreshments will be available.
LIBERTY PALMER ROAD AL-ANON
If your home is unhappy because someone drinks too much... we can help you. Liberty Palmer
Road Group meets every Monday evening at 7:30 p.m. at the Palmer Road Community Centre.

COMMUNITY OF ST. FELIX
The Annual Meeting for the community of St. Felix will be held at the St. Felix Community Centre
on Tuesday, March 20th, at 7:00 p.m. All residences are urged to attend. Storm date is March
27th.
BENEFIT
There will be a benefit in aid of Gena Shea-Miller, daughter of Junior and Jean Shea, at the
Tignish Legion on Sunday, March 25th, from 7:00 to 11:00 p.m., to help with travel expenses.
Her son, Nelson James, was born three months premature and requires special care at the IWK,
in Halifax, for at least another six weeks. There will be an auction, 50/50, fudge sale, canteen
services available. Please come show your support!
TIGNISH T.O.P.S. RELAY FOR LIFE BINGO
There will be a booklet bingo on Sunday, April 1st, at 2:00 p.m., at the Tignish Legion. Admission
is $10. Lots of great prizes. Come and support a worthy cause!

EASTER BINGO
The Centre acadien de Prince-Ouest is having an Easter bingo as a fundraiser to raise money for
our library, a project in memory of Réjeanne “Fifi” Doucette, on Sunday, April 1st, at 6:00 p.m., at
the Centre. This fundraiser is in collaboration with the school (École Pierre-Chiasson), daycare
(Le Centre l’Arc-en-ciel), and community centre (Le Conseil Rév. S.-É.-Perrey inc). Our goal is to
raise $1,000. The cost is adults $10, students $5, and children 5 years and under $2. Don’t
forget your bingo chips!
BINGO DE PÂQUES
Le Centre acadien de Prince-Ouest aura un bingo de pâques comme une levée de fonds pour
amasser des fonds pour notre bibliothèque, un projet en mémoire de Réjeanne « Fifi » Doucette,
le dimanche 1 avril à 18h00 au Centre. Cette collecte de fonds est en collaboration avec l’école

The SSTA in collaboration with the Fédération des aînés et santé en français Î.-P.-É are looking
for people who would like to take part in the project “les porte-bonheurs”, a personalized
accompanying service. We are looking for volunteers to offer quality time with a person who lives
alone and also looking for people who live alone who would like to spend a few hours a week with
