WEATHER & ACCOMMODATIONS
If weather is questionable on race day, call
715-828-0944 after 6am. If conditions are
dangerous, the start will be delayed. If the
start is delayed past 10:30am, the event will
be canceled and no refunds will be given.

Swim caps will be supplied and must be
worn during the swim.
This two mile swim is for all ages.
Any swimmer under the age of 14 must
receive the approval of the Race
Director or Eau Claire YMCA Swim
Team Coach prior to entering race.
Swim will begin in the water by the
boat docks.
Lifeguards will be stationed on the
inside of the hexagonal course.
Anyone who receives aid from the
guards will not be allowed to continue.
Any stroke is allowed.
Swimming aids (wet suits, pull buoys,
flippers) may be used, but the swimmer
will be ineligible for any awards.
Non-motorized escort boats are
allowed. You may bring your own
kayak or canoe. A few escort boats
may be available at camp. You must
supply your own boater.
Time limit for completion is 2 hours.
CHECK-IN PROCEDURE
Check-in is required and will occur from
7:45-8:30am, followed by a mandatory
pre-swim meeting at 8:45am. The swim
will start at 9am and will end by 11am.

No refunds will be given for any reason,
including cancellation of race.

All participants in the Monster Lake Swim (“Event”)
are required to assume all risk of participation by
accepting this general release agreement. I know
that participating in an endurance event is a
potentially hazardous activity. I should not enter and
participate unless I am medically able and properly
trained. I agree to abide by any decision of an event
official relative to my ability to safely complete the
endurance event. I assume all risk associated with
endurance events including, but not limited to,
contact with other participants, the effects of the
lake, and conditions of the course. Having read this
waiver and knowing these facts, I, for myself and
anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and
release the Eau Claire YMCA Camp Manitou, all
sponsors, directors, and employees from all claims or
liabilities of any kind or nature whatsoever, even
though that liability may arise out of negligence or
carelessness on the part of the persons named in this
waiver. I understand that all fees paid are nonrefundable for any reason and that my photograph
may be taken and used for promotional purposes.
