CALIOPPE (Centre d’Accueil pour le Logement, l’Information et l’Orientation des
Participants aux Programmes d’Echanges ) sera votre point de contact pour tout problème de
logement avant et après votre arrivée à Nice
CALIOPPE (Welcome office for accommodation, information and guidance for exchange
students) will be your point of contact for all accomodation issues before and after your
arrival in Nice.

III – CHOIX DE LOGEMENT – ACCOMMODATION OPTIONS
A - CHAMBRE EN RÉSIDENCE UNIVERSITAIRE – ROOM IN UNIVERSITY HALLS OF RESIDENCE
Caractéristiques – features Les chambres sont petites (9m²) et d’un confort modeste (pas
toujours de douche individuelle). Les résidences sont situées en divers points de la ville,
parfoisà l’écart des campus – The rooms are small (9m² - 97sq.ft) and modestly equipped
(individual shower not always available). Halls of residence are located in various points of
the city, sometimes away from the campuses.
Loyer mensuel – monthly rent : 121,60€ ou/or 135,70€ (avec douche individuelle/with
individual shower).
ATTENTION ! – IMPORTANT !:
1. Le nombre de chambres en résidence universitaire est limité et nous ne pouvons garantir à
tous les étudiants un logement de ce type – Since the number of rooms is limited, we
cannot guarantee all exchange students that kind of accomodation.
2. En résidence universitaire, le 1er semestre commence le 1/10 et se termine le 31/01. Le
second semestre commence le 1/02 et se termine le 30/06. Les étudiants restant un
semestre doivent libérer la chambre à la fin de celui-ci - In halls of residence, the 1st
semester starts on 1/10 and ends on 31/01. The 2nd semester starts on the 1st of February
and ends on 30/06. Students staying one semester must leave the rooms by the end of the
study period
B – LOGEMENT PRIVE – PRIVATE ACCOMMODATION
Caractéristiques – features
Les logements privés loués aux étudiants peuvent être – Private housing for students
includes :

des studios dans des résidences privées pour étudiants – studio flats in privately owned
student residence halls

des chambres chez des particuliers – rooms in private flats
-
des studios ou de petits appartements – private studio flats or small apartments
-
des appartements plus grands, à partager – larger flats to share with other students
Loyer mensuel – monthly rent :
De - from 250 € (chambre chez l’habitant – room in a private home) à – to 500 € (studio en
ville – studio apartment)
ATTENTION ! IMPORTANT !:
CALIOPPE ne peut pas vous proposer de logement privé avant votre arrivée mais seulement
vous aider dans vos recherches une fois que vous serez à Nice.
CALIOPPE cannot offer you private accommodation before your arrival but can only offer
their assistance once you’re in Nice.
IV -QUELLE QUE SOIT LA SOLUTION RETENUE… - WHATEVER SOLUTION

Vous devrez… - You will have to…

payer un ou deux mois de loyer d’avance (ils vous seront rendus à votre départ) – pay one
or two months’ rent in advance (a damage deposit which will be reimbursed when you
leave)

fournir un acte de caution solidaire (engagement de vos parents de payer le loyer en cas de
défaillance de votre part)– provide a rent guarantee (parental commitment to pay the rent
in your place if necessary)

contracter une assurance habitation dès que vous aurez trouvé votre logement – take out
an insurance policy for your accommodation as soon as you find it.
