Adolescentes elles jouaient ensemble, dix ans plus tard elles se retrouvent. L’intensité
musicale de cette nouvelle rencontre, l’enthousiasme et le succès des premiers concerts
les convainquent de poursuivre. En 2011 elles fondent le Duo Hesperia.
Olivia et Valentine, toutes deux originaires de Belfort, ont mené leurs études supérieures
en Allemagne et se sont révélées très sensibles aux deux cultures qu’elles partagent.
Elles ont conservé le raffinement et l'élégance de leurs origines tout en développant la
rigueur et la profondeur musicale de leur pays d'adoption.
Une approche réfléchie alliée à un engagement passionné conduit désormais les deux
jeunes femmes à servir le vaste et merveilleux répertoire pour violoncelle et piano.
La complicité artistique de ces deux musiciennes aux personnalités relevées donne sa
couleur particulière à leur jeu. Par un accord toujours dynamique deux tempéraments
contrastés fusionnent dans le Duo Hesperia pour atteindre au cœur de la musique

They first played together when they were teenagers. Ten years later, they met again.
The musical intensity of this new encounter and the enthusiasm and success of their
first concerts were decisive. In 2011, they founded the Duo Hesperia.
Olivia and Valentine, both of whom grew up in Belfort, France, continued their
music studies in Germany. Particularly attuned to the two cultures they share, they
preserve the refinement and elegance of their French origins while developing the
rigor and musical depth of their adopted country.
With great passion on the one hand, and a thoughtful and critical vision on the other,
the two young women have joined forces to approach the vast and marvellous
repertory for cello and piano.
The artistic complicity between these two strong personalities lends a special colour
to their playing. Through the dynamic interplay of their contrasted temperaments,
the musicians of Duo Hesperia reach to the very core of the music they interpret.

Schon als Jugendliche spielten sie zusammen. Zehn Jahre später fanden sie sich wieder.
Die Intensität dieser erneuten musikalischen Begegnung, die Begeisterung sowie der
Erfolg der ersten gemeinsamen Konzerte überzeugten sie, gemeinsam fort zu fahren . So
wurde 2011 das Duo Hesperia gegründet.
Da Olivia und Valentine beide ursprünglich aus Belfort/Frankreich kommen und für
ihr Studium nach Deutschland gingen (Valentine nach Hannover, Olivia nach Stuttgart
und danach nach Freiburg), teilen sie diese doppelte kulturelle Identität. Sie behielten
den raffinierten Stil und die Eleganz ihres Ursprungslandes bei und entwickelten in
ihrer nunmehr « zweiten Heimat » weitergehende musikalische Tiefe und Stringenz.
Eine reflektierte Interpretation gepaart mit leidenschaftlichem Engagement ermöglicht
den beiden jungen Musikerinnen, dem breiten und wundervollen Repertoire für Cello
und Klavier zu entsprechen.
So vereinigen sich zwei stark kontrastierte Musikertemperamente mit hoch
charismatischen Persönlichkeiten zu einem Duo, welches es schafft, die Tiefe der Musik
zu erreichen und die Hörer mit etwaiger Klangkunst direkt im Herzen zu treffen.
