First-ever Eurobike Festival
Days jammed with test-riding,
live acts and daring stunts
Friedrichshafen, Germany - As cyclists are getting
their bikes out of the basement and ready for spring,
the Eurobike team is gearing up for a new season,
too. In addition to allocating the halls for the next
edition of the world’s leading bike trade show August 31 to September 4 - they will soon be
preparing the event’s new Eurobike Festival Days.
"Our new concept for Eurobike will consist of two
strong pillars,” Klaus Wellmann, CEO of Messe
Friedrichshafen. "In addition to the B2B component,
which has proved to be optimally positioned, we will
also be establishing the trade show as a multi-day
event for cycling enthusiasts. On Saturday and
Sunday (September 3 & 4) the industry’s entire 2017
product range and the whole topic of cycling will be
presented to bike fans at eleven special areas on
Messe Friedrichshafen’s vast exhibition grounds.
Events will include thrilling races, lectures and
shows.

"As ever, Eurobike is extremely well positioned for its 25th
anniversary,” says Eurobike Head Stefan Reisinger,
confidently. "We’re very pleased with the number of
registered exhibitors.” Around 1350 exhibitors from over 50

summit, which will again boast over 100,000 sq m (108,000
sq ft) of exhibition space and 13 halls.
During Eurobike Business Days - Wednesday, August 31 to
Friday, September 2 - the world’s leading bike trade show
will take its tried and true approach to focusing on the
professional needs of the global industry. In the course of
discussions with more than 45,000 trade visitors and over
1,700 media reps from more than 100 countries, the
manufacturing and retail sectors will be setting the course
for the future, flanked by numerous new products and a
strong Academy program. The new Demo Area in the
north-east sector of the exhibition grounds will feature a
wide array of test tracks and provide a comprehensive
range of test-riding opportunities on every day of the event.

products from worldwide brands, Eurobike Festival Days will
particularly focus on events that will take place exclusively
during the two-day program for the general public.
At the Festival Days areas of the grounds, cycling action
and test-riding will take center stage. Visitors will have the
chance to put roughly 3000 different bikes through their
paces in the Demo Area between and behind the "B” halls,
where a track network measuring about 10 km (6.2 miles)
awaits them. Available models will cover every genre of
bicycle - from racing bikes and pedelecs to fatbikes and
everything in between.
A special free-admission crowd pleaser will be the Music
Area, a large atrium-like space between the exhibition halls
on the East Open-Air Grounds. Throughout Saturday and
Sunday, star artists as well as up-and-coming acts from top
labels Sony Music, Universal Music and WEA Deutschland
will hit the Radio 7 Stage and put Festival Days visitors
under their spell. The Festival Days party will start in the
evening on Saturday, September 3, with a headline
performance. Radio 7 Mixshow host Matze Ihring and star
DJ Chris Montana will keep things humming between
performances.
The Performance Area, meanwhile, will be packed with
spectacular tricks and lightning-fast cycling action. More
than just the pros will be showing off their bike skills, as
visitors will also have a chance to take part in the show.
Over on the riding tracks in the Kids' Area, teens and
children of different ages will get to explore their biking
talents and skills, and put them to the test.
