Le caractère éphémère et mobile des nuages
s'identifie à celui des rêves. Les nuages sont des
objets visibles en suspension dans l'atmosphère
libre. Leurs formes aléatoires se prêtent aux yeux
de l'imaginaire, notre faculté de former ou
déformer des images selon notre perception et
notre subjectivité. "Voguer" dessine le mouvement du vol d'un objet dans l'espace et reprend
le rythme régulier graphique de Zig Zag. La
rondeur des motifs brodés pour "Douce" complète
la rigueur de la géométrie angulaire pour "Voguer"
et "Zigzag".
HEAD IN THE CLOUDS. The ephemeral and
mobile nature of clouds is akin to that of dreams.
We see clouds suspended in the real atmosphere.
Their haphazard shapes fuel our imagination, our
ability to form and deform images according to our
perception and subjectivity. “Voguer” sketches out
the trajectory of an item flying through space,
adopting the regular graphic rhythm of “Zig Zag”.
The curves of embroidered motifs in “Douce”
complement the precision of the angular geometry
used for “Voguer” and “Zig Zag”.

L A T Ê T E D ANS L ES N UAGES
LA NOUVELLE COLLECTION
La collection “courant d’air” est une invitation
au voyage. En évoquant le voyage imaginaire,
nous découvrons l’ailleurs dans ce que l’on voit
tous les jours tout autour de nous. C’est un nouvel
éclairement, une réalité illuminée.
L’ailleurs c’est autre part, ici et là, plus loin,
quelque part, nulle part, n’importe où près de
nous. “Parce que le poète nous découvre une
nuance fugitive, nous apprenons à imaginer
toute nuance comme un changement”. Gaston
Bachelard - L’air et les songes. Le changement
devient un ailleurs. Les mouvements provoqués
par les énergies modifient la mobilité des objets
terrestres et célestes. Le souffle du vent froisse la
surface de l’eau et dessine des ondes sinusoïdales. L’eau devient un instrument optique qui
réfracte la lumière, la réfléchit et la disperse. Des
petits fils coupés de couleur reproduisent ce
phénomène sur l’effet ondoyant du jacquard
«Eau Douce glace». Les arbres de la végétation
tropicale, ressemblent à l’écume d’une mer végétale en ondoyant mollement. Chaque tissu fragile
des feuilles et des fleurs captent l’humidité
atmosphérique et la lumière du soleil. L’imprimé
“Ailleurs” est un accord parfait entre l’onde
atmosphérique imagée et la mobilité de l’espace
végétal.
WHERE THE WIND BLOWS. The “Courant
d’Air” collection is an invitation to travel. Embarking on an imaginary journey we discover the
foreignness of what we see all around us every day.
It is a new way of seeing, reality brimming with
light. Elsewhere can be miles away, here, there,

further, somewhere, nowhere, anywhere, or on our
doorstep.“Because poetry reveals to us a fugitive
nuance, we learn to imagine all nuance as change.” Gaston Bachelard - L’Air et les Songes. Change
becomes elsewhere. Movements caused by energies
affect the mobility of terrestrial and celestial elements.
A breath of wind crumples the surface of the water,
conjuring up sinusoidal waves. Water becomes
an optical instrument that refracts, reflects and
disperses light. Short, coloured threads echo this
phenomenon in the undulating effect of “Eau
Douce Glace” Jacquard. Softly swaying trees in a
tropical forest become the foam on a sea of plants.
Every fragile leaf and flower tissue captures humidity
from the air and light from the sun. In the “Ailleurs”
print, air waves captured in picture form are in
perfect harmony with movement in the plant world.
DE L’AUTRE CÔTÉ DU MIROIR
L’intention créative est d’inspirer un espace
proche de la représentation que l’on se fait du
nuage. Le nuage se situe à différents niveaux
d’altitude dans le ciel. Bien que son aspect
semble être celui de la ouate, du coton et de
l’immatérialité, il est constitué d’une multitude
de cristaux de glace, prismes, facettes de miroir
réfléchissant la lumière du rayonnement solaire
et terrestre. Le regard se confond entre imagination et réalité. «Prisme» est la représentation graphique de la multiplication d’une forme géométrique facettée. Traduite par des jeux de tissage
en armure satin de chaîne et satin de trame. Un
léger reflet rosé, Nude, réchauffe sa blancheur
lumineuse. «Miroir», projette la forme graphique sur une trajectoire horizontale. Un point
de bourdon dessine des lignes parallèles de
chaque côté du prisme, en coloris Nude sur la
blancheur éclatante d’un satin de coton. «Visible», rend visible et invisible certaines zones du
graphisme représenté, par des jeux d’armures en
filigrane. Le graphisme végétal est à peine souligné par les deux hauteurs de tons des fils naturel
et blanc. L’expérience du miroir, où le regard
rend la netteté à certains objets, les multiplie,
fait disparaître ceux qui lui semblent être moins
importants avec l’intention de changer les apparences. Le Nuage objet onirique fait référence
aux rêves, à l’espace temporel et spatial du sommeil.
BEYOND THE LOOKING GLASS The design is
intended to suggest something akin to the image we
have of clouds. Clouds sit at different altitudes in
the sky. Although they may look like cotton wool or
wadding, or appear to be immaterial, they are
made up of a multitude of ice crystals, prisms, facets
of a mirror, reflecting the light beaming out from
the sun and the earth. There is a fine line between
what we see and what we imagine. The multiplication of a faceted geometric shape is captured in
graphic form in “Prisme”. Captured in a play
of weaves, with a satin warp and a satin weft.
A delicate pink hue, Nude, adds warmth to its
luminous whiteness. “Miroir” propels the graphic
shape on a horizontal trajectory. The parallel lines
of each side of the prism are sketched out in bourdon
stitch, in the colour Nude, on dazzling white cotton
satin. Using a play of watermark-effect weaves,
“Visible” renders some areas of the shape visible
and others invisible. The plant shape is merely suggested by the two tones of yarn, natural and white.
Looking into a mirror can make certain items
appear more clearly or multiply their number, erasing
those that seem less important with the intention of
making things look different. A Cloud, a dreamlike
element, evokes reverie, the time and space of sleep.
CULTIVER SO N J A RD I N
Le verbe Être signifie exister. Exister en vert thé
pour la fleur de Boule de neige. Exister en rose
poudre pour la fleur de Renoncule. Exister en
bleu blanc pour la fleur de Lilas. Être c’est le fait
d’être réellement en substance, par essence. Être
une Boule de neige, fleur constituée de plusieurs
petites corolles en forme de boule végétale. Être
un Cumulus, un genre de nuage constitué de
minuscules gouttes d’eau en forme de la boule
de coton. Être une Renoncule, fleur constituée
de dizaine de pétales s’enroulant, se serrant
contre le coeur en forme compacte. Etre un
Opacus, une variété de nuage qui ne laisse pas
traverser la lumière. Être un Lilas, fleur constituée
de corolles de 4 pétales simples, rayées blanc et
lilas en couche et superposition. Etre un Stratocumulus, un genre de nuage de basse altitude à
développement vertical qui lorsqu’il rencontre la
terre forme le brouillard. Employer des comparaisons pour mieux définir la nature des objets.
Créer le dialogue des images pour inspirer un
parcours poétique. Cultiver son jardin.
CULTIVATING OUR GARDEN The verb To Be
is synonymous with existing. Existing in tea green
for the Guelder Rose on a snowball tree. Existing in
powder pink for the Ranunculus bloom. Existing
in bluish white for the Lilac flower. Being is the
fact of really existing in substance, in essence.
Being a Guelder Rose, a snowball of small corollas.
Being a Cumulus, a cotton-wool cloud made up of
tiny droplets of water. Being a Ranunculus flower,
a compact ball of dozens of serried petals. Being an
Opacus, the type of cloud that blocks out the light.
Being a Lilac flower, corollas of 4 single petals in
superposed layers of white and lilac ripples. Being a
Stratocumulus, a low-altitude cloud that develops
vertically and becomes fog when it encounters the
earth. Using comparisons to better define the nature of things. Creating a dialogue between images
to foster poetry. Cultivating our garden.
