TRIDEFOAM AGD is recommended for all wet processes of textiles including dyeing and printing. TRIDEFOAM AGD is also effective in inks, coatings and adhesives based on synthetic latex polymers. Paints and coatings will require in general between 3.0 to 5.0 g/l TRIDEFOAM AGD. Split additions with half the defoamer being added during the grind and the balance added to the letdown. Adhesives will require 0.25 to 2.5% TRIDEFOAM AGD based on the batch weight. TRIDEFOAM AGD may be added as is or diluted with water prior to addition. TYPICAL PROPERTIES: STORAGE: Appearance : Clear, yellowish liquid. Ionic nature : Non -ionic Density @ 15°C : ~0.90 Viscosity @ 25°C : <500 cps Flash point : ~160°C Solubility in water : Forms an emulsion. Shelf stability : One year minimum. APPLICATION: TRIDEFOAM AGD may be stored inside or outside if the container is protected from water. If TRIDEFOAM AGD should freeze, place in a warm room with a water bath several days before use. If TRIDEFOAM AGD should stratify, mix with a mechanical drum agitator. Do not heat drum with electric heating bands, as this will cause a loss in product efficiency. For more information concerning the handling, the manipulation or the use of this product, please consult our material safety data sheet or consult our technical service department. TRIDEFOAM AGD may be added directly to a foaming bath. It may be added as received or pre-diluted with up to 9 parts water. If dilutions should stratify, mix with an electric drum mixer to restore to 100% efficiency. For most textile wet processing applications, use levels are 0.25 to 1.0% owg. TRIDEFOAM AGD should be prediluted with water in the drug room and dropped to the dyeing machine or other. Drug room dilutions of 2 to 10 parts water per part of TRIDEFOAM AGD are preferred. 2001/05/01 Page 1 of 1 The product use instructions and performance characteristics in this bulletin are based on information we believe to be reliable.
