Teenager survives in jungle – on chewing gum!
Do parents and teachers tell you to stop chewing ? Well, here’s a girl who says
chewing gum saved her life !

“I’ve always wanted to go to Australia,”
says British teenager Louise Saunders.
Louise saved her money and spent months
planning her trip to Australia with her
friend Jo. And the day came when they went
on holiday to Australia! But Louise didn’t
plan to spend three nights alone on a
mountain...!

While she was in Australia, Louise decided
to go for a walk in the rain forest on Mount
Tyson, in Queensland. But then she didn’t
come back. Louise was alone. She called
her friend Jo, but her mobile phone cut out.
Then she broke her glasses...

A team of three helicopters and seventy
people looked for Louise, but they didn’t
see or hear anything. They worked until it
was night. The Australian rainforest is a
cold, dark and scary place to stay at night,

was cold and dangerous.”
“It’s a horrible place to be,” says Police
