Don’t miss out on the Spring meeting at Texas Wesleyan University in
Fort Worth! Out-going President Barbara Gilbert will begin the
business meeting at 9:00, but do come early for le petit déjeuner and
conversation with your francophone friends.
Megan Diercks, out-going VP of Special Events will review our fall
French Immersion Day and the spring Fête Française with plans for
future events. Members will also present their updates on the National
French Contest, the upcoming Congrès in Philadelphia, and the French
American Chamber of Commerce. Elections will take place to fill the
offices of First Vice President (President-elect), VP of Special Events, and Treasurer. A call for
nominations was made at the Fall meeting and subsequently through the chapter listerve. Contact Barbara
for additional input or information.

Spring Meeting scheduled for May 1st
The meeting will conclude with our program by Agnès Starfield with her adventures in La Guadeloupe
and La Martinique. Make plans to stay for lunch to round out the morning with another opportunity for
conversation; light and tasty wraps from the Blue Mesa with accompanying sides for the cost of $8.00.
You have only to choose your selection and make your payment to Treasurer, Becky Lee
([email protected]). If you are bringing a first time guest, lunch is on us for both you and your guest! Please
let Becky know so that we can make arrangements.
Don’t forget that the Spring meeting means drawing for the Renée White Travel Grant ($400) and

avec vous en continuant à assurer que
l’amour de la langue française et la culture
francophone fleurissent au Texas and dans
le monde. Je vous remercie également de votre participation dans les activités de notre
chapitre comme la Journée d’Immersion et la Fête Française. Sans vous et vos amis, on
n’aurait pas eu assez de juges pour la Fête. Vous travaillez bien dur et encouragez vos élèves/
étudiants à participer et à utiliser leur français. Je suis reconnaissante de tous vos efforts et de
