Dans le cadre des Journées de la culture, exposition de photos
historiques et projection du film Les 90 jours (1959) de
l'Office national du film, réalisé par Louis Portugais, écrit
par Gérard Pelletier et produit par Guy Glover,
Léonard Forest et Victor Jobin.
I was asked why I am doing this project. Simple reason, these are
my roots and I love my town. It is a labour of love and passion that
I want to share with all of my fellow citizens so they will know the
richness and importance of our history. There have been many
before me to have written the history of particular themes. But
what I want to do for all of us is a written story with the wealth of
pictures to bring this all to life. Enjoy and love.
On m’a demandé ce qui me motivait dans ce projet. La raison est
bien simple: j’aime ma ville et ici se trouvent mes racines. Ce fut un
travail de passion et d’amour que je désire partager avec mes
concitoyens afin de leur faire découvrir la richesse et l’importance
de notre histoire. Plusieurs avant moi ont écrit notre histoire autour
de thèmes spécifiques. Ce que je désirais accomplir est d’écrire
l’histoire en m’appuyant sur une abondante collection de
photographies afin de faire revivre le passé. Profitez et aimez.
