Bill Addy est maître d’œuvre agréé, directeur commercial, entrepreneur et prêtre anglican. depuis
2013, il dirige le Liverpool BID (Business Improvement District), qui gère les deux BID de Liverpool : «
City Central » et « Commercial District ».
Ceux-ci recouvrent +/- 485.700 m² du centre-ville,
abritent 1.500 entreprises qui elles-même emploient
plus de 70.000 personnes. City Central opère depuis dix ans et a été pour cinq années lors du dernier vote de 2013. Quant au Commercial District,
son renouvellement pour une nouvelle période de
cinq ans à dater de juin 2016 vient d’être approuvé
à l’unanimité.
La carrière de Bill s’étend sur quatre décennies,
suite à un cursus de trois ans dans le domaine de
la construction à la Polytechnique de Liverpool au
milieu des années 70. Parmi ses différentes compétences, c’est notamment son expertise technique
et marketing qui l’a mené à diriger le développement du Groupe de développement et construction David McLean, dans le nord du Pays de Galle,
menant à la création d’une antenne à Liverpool en
1994. Pendant les dix années suivantes, il a été aux
premières loges d’une grande partie du développement et de la régénération du centre-ville de Liverpool, incluant la création d’une co-entreprise entre
le «Princes Dock» d’un côté et «Mersey Docks» et
la société portuaire de l’autre, cette joint-venture
ayant permis la re-commercialisation du Princes
Dock et l’ouverture du Crowne Plaza en 1998.
D’autres co-entreprises avec Iliad pour développer
le quartier d’East Village et les premiers logements
étudiants modernes en centre-ville s’ajoutent à son
portefeuille avant qu’il ne se lance dans la consultance et la copropriété d’une société en croissance.
Bill est également pasteur à l’Eglise St Barnabas
Penny Lane, ses responsabilités paroissiales et son
travail lui permettant cependant d’avoir suffisamment de temps pour suivre l’équipe de football
d’Everton et de promener son chien...

Church of England Priest has been CEO of Liverpool BID Company (Business Improvement District)
since March 2013, managing the 2 Liverpool BIDs,
City Central and the Commercial District.
The BID districts cover 120 acres of Liverpool City
Centre and are home to 1,500 businesses employing more than 70,000 people. City central is
now into its 10th year of operation having been
successful at renewal ballot in 2013 and Commercial District has just received an overwhelming endorsement at Ballot with anew 5 year term beginning in June.
Bill’s career spans 4 decades following 3 years as
a full time construction student at Liverpool Polytechnic in the mid 1970’s, roles including technical
and marketing expertise led to his appointment
as director at North Wales development and
Construction Group David McLean heading up the
creation of a Liverpool office in 1994 . During the
next 10 years David Mclean were at the forefront of
much of the pioneering development and regeneration of Liverpool City Centre including Princes
Dock joint venture with Mersey Docks and Harbour
Company that brought Princes Dock back into
commercial use and saw the Crowne Plaza open in
late 1998.
Joint ventures with Iliad to deliver East Village and
the development of some of the first of the modern student accommodation in the city centre
were added to his portfolio before venturing out
into consultancy and co ownership of a growing
development company.
Bill is Minister in charge at St Barnabas Church Penny Lane and ministerial duties and work allow a little time to follow Everton and walk the family dog..
