FR Festival inter-quartiers des clichés de la différence
Sur les territoires du quartier européen et du quartier Matongé
Le Festival Matongé-Europe favorise les rencontres entre les habitants et usagers
du quartier Matongé et du quartier européen. Du 5 au 9 juin, ces deux quartiers
se découvrent à travers un parcours urbain, une parade, un concert, mais aussi
un bal moderne, un tournoi de mini-foot artistique et enfin un forum/brunch sur
les clichés de la différence.
Les habitants de ces deux quartiers vivent ensemble, mais se côtoient-ils
vraiment ? Où sont les barrières ? Des frontières invisibles existent-elles ? Les
clichés sont-ils réels ? Qui traverse ? Voici ce que le festival souhaite découvrir. À
Bruxelles, l’Afrique et l’Europe ne sont pas séparées par un océan. Le quartier
européen et le quartier Matongé sont bien voisins.

In de Europese wijk en de Matongewijk
Het Festival Matonge-Europa wil ontmoeting stimuleren tussen bewoners en
gebruikers van twee wijken: de Matongewijk en de Europese wijk. Van 5 tot 9
juni ontmoeten ze elkaar tijdens een stadsparcours, een parade, een concert,
maar ook tijdens een heus bal moderne, een artistiek minivoetbaltornooi en een
forum/brunch over de clichés van het verschil.
Bewoners en bezoekers van beide wijken leven samen, maar ook naast elkaar.
Waar liggen de barrières ? Hoe rigide is een onzichtbare grens ? Hoe sterk zijn de
clichés ? Wie steekt er over ? Net dàt wenst het festival te ontdekken ! Want in
Brussel liggen Europa en Afrika vlak naast elkaar. Ze worden hier niet gescheiden
door een eindeloze zee.

In the European Quarter and Matonge neighbourhood
The Matonge-Europe Festival will boost encounters between residents and users
of two neighbourhoods: the Matonge neighbourhood and the European
Quarter. From 5 to 9 June they will meet during a city itinerary, a parade, a
concert, but also during a bal moderne, a freestyle minifootball tournament and
a forum/brunch about the clichés that make up the difference.
Residents and visitors to both neighbourhoods live together but also next to
each other. Where are the barriers ? How rigid is an invisible border ? How strong
are the clichés ? Who crosses ? This is exactly what the festival aims to discover !
Since Europe and Africa are neighbours in Brussels. They are just next to each
other and are not separated by an endless sea.

gebruikers.
EN The tourism Office 'Where is Matongé-Europe ?' provides a unique tour in
