ARTICLE 1. DATES
La sixième édition du festival Pocket Films, organisé par le Forum des images, se déroulera à Paris,
au Forum des images, les 18, 19 et 20 juin 2010.
La date limite de réception des films est le 01 mars 2010.
ARTICLE 1. DATES
The sixth edition of the Festival Pocket Films, organised by Forum des images, will take place in
Paris at the Forum des images, on June 18, 19, 20, 2010.
The closing date for submission of films is March 01, 2010
ARTICLE 2. CONDITIONS DE PARTICIPATION
La participation au festival Pocket Films est ouverte aux films tournés avec terminaux de
communication mobiles (téléphones, outils de communication tenant dans la poche - étrangers ou
français) et/ou appareil photos numériques.
Les applications interactives ne sont pas acceptées.
La durée, le genre et le type de montage des films (non montés, montés à l’intérieur ou à l’extérieur
des terminaux) sont libres.
La participation est gratuite.
ARTICLE 2. ENTRY CONDITIONS
The participation in the Pocket Films Festival is open to films created with mobile communication
terminals (telephones, communication tools that fit in a pocket) and/or digital cameras that fit in a
hand.
Interactive applications are not accepted.
The length, genre, editing type of the films (unedited, edited inside or outside of the communication
terminal) is open.
Participation is free-of-charge.

ARTICLE 3. INSCRIPTIONS A LA PRESELECTION
Une fiche d’inscription doit être remplie pour chaque film proposé.
La date limite d’inscription d'un film (soit la date limite de réception de la copie du film sur CD ou
DVD) est fixée au 01 mars 2010 inclus.
La fiche d'inscription et le règlement sont téléchargeables sur le site du festival
(www.festivalpocketfilms.fr)
Afin de valider leur inscription les participants devront remplir entièrement la fiche d’inscription et
fournir l’intégralité des documents et éléments complémentaires demandés par le festival Pocket
Films, c’est à dire un DVD ou un CD contenant :
- Le film (formats vidéo acceptés : DVD vidéo ou fichiers MPEG, AVI, mov, VOB, 3gp, mp4)
- Trois photos du film en résolution minimum de 300 dpi.
- La liste de dialogue complète en langue d’origine ou en anglais si le film a été tourné dans une
autre langue que le français.

Si un CD ou un DVD est envoyé par un service de courrier express, les frais de douane et taxes
diverses à l'arrivée doivent impérativement être pris en charge par l'expéditeur (à mentionner sur le
bordereau d'envoi).
ARTICLE 3. REGISTRATION FOR PRESELECTION
A registration form must be fully completed for each film submitted to the festival.
The deadline for registering a film (i.e., the date at which the reception of a copy of the film on CD
or DVD must be received at the office of Pocket Films Festival) is March 01, 2010.
The registration form and the regulations of the festival can be downloaded on the Internet site of
the festival (www.festivalpocketfilms.fr).
To validate a submission the participants must fill out entirely the inscription form and send the
required materials – a CD our DVD containing :
- The film (formats accepted : DVD vidéo ou fichiers MPEG, AVI, mov, VOB, 3gp, mp4)
- Three photos of the film in 300 dpi resolution
- The complete dialog list of the film in the original language or in English

The package must be marked “For cultural purposes only”.
If a CD or a DVD is dispatched by a courier service, any customs, duty or clearance expenses and
other charges due on arrival will be paid by the sender (to be mentioned in the dispatch note).
ARTICLE 4. SELECTION
Le comité de sélection du festival Pocket Films choisira, au sein des films inscrits, ceux qui seront
sélectionnés pour participer à la 6ème édition, soit dans le cadre des compétitions internationales
soit en séances ou programmes hors compétition.
Seuls les films sélectionnés pour la compétition internationale seront soumis à un jury professionnel
et concourront pour 2 prix (cf article 8 du présent règlement).
Les réalisateurs sélectionnés en seront informés avant la tenue du festival.
ARTICLE 4. SELECTION
The selection committee of the Pocket Films Festival will choose, among the films submitted, those
to be selected to take part in the sixth edition, either in the framework of the international
competition or in the non-competitive sections of the festival.
Only those films selected for the international competition will be submitted to the jury and will
compete and will be eligible for 2 awards (See regulations , Article 8).
The film-makers selected will be advised of their selection before the festival opens.
ARTICLE 5. DIFFUSION DES FILMS
Les films sélectionnés seront diffusés pendant le festival Pocket Films, les 18, 19 et 20 juin 2010
au Forum des images, à Paris, France. Le comité de sélection du festival est libre de choisir l’écran
de diffusion des films (grand écran de cinéma ou écrans de poche : terminaux de communication
mobile, lecteur audio-vidéo portable, console de jeux portable…)
Aux fins de mise en valeur des œuvres et des réalisateurs autour du festival Pocket Films, les films
inscrits pourront être diffusés dès réception par le festival et sans limitation de durée, de façon non
commerciale et non exclusive dans les espaces du Forum des images, sur les sites web et wap du
festival Pocket Films, du Forum des images, de SFR (opérateur de téléphonie mobile français,
partenaire technologique du Festival Pocket Films) et les partenaires du festival. Les réalisateurs
participants donnent ces autorisations à titre gracieux.
Le comité de sélection du festival Pocket Films choisira parmi les films programmés pendant le
festival ceux qui seront téléchargés gratuitement sur le site web du festival
(www.festivalpocketfilms.fr). Les spectateurs présents au Forum des images les 18, 19 et 20 juin
2010, pourront télécharger ces films sur les appareils vidéo mobile personnels.
Pour les films sélectionnés, les réalisateurs s’engagent, pour une durée d'un an (jusqu’au 21 juin
2011), à ne pas céder les droits de représentation de leurs films en France à d’autres opérateurs de
téléphonie que SFR.
Les films sélectionnés pourront être intégrés à la collection de films du Forum des images : à ce

titre, ils seront consultables dans la salle des collections du Forum des images, et pourront être
montrés dans le cadre d'une programmation du Forum des images, sur les sites Internet du festival
Pocket Films et du Forum des images, ainsi que dans d'autres festivals ou événements partenaires
du Forum des Images.
Afin de réaliser les diffusions visées ci-dessus, le Forum des images pourra reproduire les films et
les adapter exclusivement pour des raisons de contraintes ergonomiques, techniques et graphiques
des terminaux de réception.
Le réalisateur déclare accepter de diffuser son film selon les conditions définies dans le cadre du
contrat Creative Commons Paternité-Pas d’utilisation commerciale 2.0 France (contrat intégral :
http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/2.0/fr/ - le contrat Creative Commons facilite la
diffusion des films dans un cadre non commercial).
ARTICLE 5. DIFFUSION OF FILMS
The films selected will be shown during the Pocket Films Festival on June 18, 19, 20, 2010 at the
Forum des images in Paris, France. The programming committee is free to chose the type of screen
that the film will be presented upon (movie-theater screens ou pocket-size screens: mobile
communications terminals, portable audio-video players, game consoles...)
For the purpose of promoting the works and film-makers associated with the Pocket Films Festival,
the films registered may be screened on receipt by the Festival and for an unlimited period, on a
non-commercial and non-exclusive basis, on the premises of Forum des images and on the web and
wap sites of the Festival Pocket Films, Forum des images, SFR (French mobile phone operator,
founding partner of the Pocket Films Festival) and other partners of the Festival. The film-makers
taking part grant these permissions free of charge.
The Pocket Films Festival will choose those films selected for the festival, which will be available
for downloading, free-of-charge, on the Internet site of the festival (www.festivalpocketfilms.fr).
The spectators present at the Forum des images from June 18, 19, 20, 2010 may also download
these films on any type of personal video mobile terminal.
For the films selected for the festival, the directors consent, for a period of one year (until June
21, 2010), to refrain from giving the rights to show their films in France to any telephone operator
other than SFR.
The films selected may be placed in the film archive of the Forum des images and so may be
consulted in its film-library. They may be shown in programmes organised by Forum des images,
on the Internet sites of the Pocket Films Festival and Forum des images, as well as on the occasion
of other festivals or events which are partners of the Forum des images.
For the purposes of the screenings mentioned above, the Forum des images may copy the films and
adapt them, exclusively for reasons related to the ergonomic, technical and graphic constraints of
the receiving terminals.
The filmmaker consents to the diffusion of his/her film according to the conditions defined within
the Creative Commons licence "Attribution Noncommercial 2.0 France" in order to better serve the
non-commercial diffusion of his/her work. The complete licence can de found at :

ARTICLE 6. DROITS D’EXPLOITATION
Tout réalisateur participant déclare être régulièrement propriétaire de l’ensemble des droits de
reproduction, représentation et diffusion de son film. Il garantit avoir obtenu toutes les autorisations
nécessaires aux diffusions visées ci-dessus, et remettra, à l'inscription de son film au Forum des
images, une copie de ces autorisations. A titre d’information, le Forum des images rappelle que
l’utilisation d’œuvres musicales préexistantes dans un film nécessite l’autorisation écrite des ayantdroits.
Tout réalisateur fera son affaire personnelle des réclamations qui pourraient être formulées à
l’encontre du Forum des images suite à la diffusion de son film par ce dernier, et garantit le Forum
des images de toutes conséquences dommageables.
ARTICLE 6. EXPLOITATION RIGHTS
All participating film-makers declare themselves to be the legal owners of all the rights relating to
the copying, representation and diffusion of their films. They guarantee that they have obtained all
the necessary permissions mentioned above. They will submit a copy of these permissions to the
Forum des Images when registering their films. The Forum des images informs all film-makers that
the use of pre-existing works of music in films requires written permission from the copyright
owners.
Film-makers will be personally liable in case of complaints ensuing from the diffusion of their films
by the Forum des images and will guarantee the Forum des images against any loss or damage it
may sustain.
ARTICLE 7. PROMOTION
Dans le cadre de la promotion du festival Pocket Films et du Forum des images, les services de
presse du Forum des images seront libres de diffuser, dès réception du film par le festival et jusqu’à
trois mois après le festival, les films inscrits, en intégralité, auprès des différents supports de presse,
à la télévision, sur Internet et sur le wap et par tous moyens électroniques de communication au
public.
Des extraits et photos des films sélectionnés pourront également être utilisés sans limitation de
durée à des fins de communication interne, au Forum des images, chez SFR, partenaire
technologique du festival, ainsi que les autres partenaires du festival.
ARTICLE 7. PROMOTION
For the purpose of promoting the Pocket Films Festival and the Forum des images, the Forum des
images Publicity Department will be free, from the date of reception of the film by the Festival, to
three months after the Festival, to circulate photographic stills from registered films as well as the
films themselves, to all print media, television, Internet and/or wap sites, and by any electronic
means of communication to the public.
Clips and photographic stills from the selected films may also be used for an an unlimited period
for purposes of in-house communication within the Forum des images and for SFR, the
technological partner of the Festival, and the other partners of the festival.
ARTICLE 8. PRIX
Les films sélectionnés pour participer à la compétition concourent pour les prix suivants :

Prix du jury :
Un jury composé de professionnels du cinéma, de l'art et de la culture se réunira pour décerner 2
prix dont voici les dotations :
Le 1er Prix du Jury: 1 500 € et un téléphone mobile vidéo.
Le 2e Prix du Jury: 1 000 € et un téléphone mobile vidéo
Prix du public :
Le public présent pendant le festival au Forum des images pourra voter pour le film de son choix.
Les films recueillant le plus grand nombre de voix se verra décerner le prix suivant : un téléphone
mobile vidéo.
ARTICLE 8. AWARDS
The films selected to participate in the competition compete for the following awards :
Jury Award
A jury made up of professionals from the world of cinema, art and culture, will give 2 awards and
will give the following prizes:
First Jury Prize: 1,500 euros and a 3G mobile video telephone
Second Jury Prize : 1,000 euros and a 3G mobile video telephone
Audience Award:
The public present at the Forum des images during the festival will be able to vote for a film of
their choice. The film with the highest number of votes will win the Audience Award prize: a 3G
mobile video telephone.
ARTICLE 9. RESPONSABILITES DES ORGANISATEURS.
Le festival Pocket Films se réserve le droit d’utiliser les informations recueillies sur les formulaires
d’inscription selon les modalités prévues par la loi 78.17 du 6 janvier 1978. Conformément à la loi
Informatique et Libertés, tout participant dispose d’un droit d’accès et de rectification sur les seules
données nominatives le concernant.
Le festival Pocket Films décline toute responsabilité en cas de mauvaise réception ou de nonréception des dossiers d’inscription et des films, quelle qu’en soit la raison.
Le Forum des images a le pouvoir de régler tous les cas non prévus au présent règlement. Il se
réserve le droit d’interrompre, de supprimer, de différer la manifestation ou de modifier ce
règlement, à tout moment, en fonction des exigences de son exploitation. Aucun dédommagement
de quelque nature que ce soit ne pourra être consenti aux participants.
La participation au festival Pocket Films implique l’acceptation du présent règlement.
ARTICLE 9. ORGANISERS’ RESPONSIBILITIES.
The Pocket Films Festival reserves the right to use the information in the registration forms under
the conditions specified in law 78.17 of January 6, 1978. In accordance with “la loi Informatique et
Libertés” (French law on data protection), entrants are given a right of access and rectification
concerning to data in which their names appear.
The Pocket Films Festival declines all liability relating to the reception or non-reception, for

whatever reason, of registration files or films.
The Forum des images shall settle any cases not covered by the present regulations. The Forum des
images reserves the right to interrupt, suppress or postpone the event and to modify the regulations
at any time, according to its operating requirements. No compensation of any kind will be due to
entrants.
Entering the Pocket Films Festival implies the acceptance of the present regulations.
ARTICLE 10. MODIFICATION, ANNULATION
Le Forum des images se réserve le droit d'écourter, de modifier ou d'annuler le Festival ou d’en
modifier le contenu si des circonstances exceptionnelles ou indépendantes de sa volonté l'exigeaient
et/ou pour assurer la sécurité, l’équité, l’intégrité ou le bon déroulement du Festival. Sa
responsabilité ne saurait être engagée de ce fait.
ARTICLE 10. MODIFICATION, CANCELLATION
The Forum des images reserves the right to shorten, modify or cancel the Festival, or to change its
content, either if exceptional circumstances, or circumstances beyond its control, so require, or to
ensure the safety, equity, integrity or proper functioning of the festival.
Forum des images shall not be in any way liable in any of the above cases.
