The UK branch of WRA will not be taking an official delegation across to Quebec although the UK
will be represented by its members of the Winter Maintenance technical committee

We are undertaking a membership drive to increase the numbers of companies who are
collective members.
The WRA-UK AGM and lunch was held on 29th June in London it was attended by WRAUK members and representatives of the UK overseeing organisations who manage the
strategic road networks in the four countries that make up the UK.
Th athe lunch the Chief Executive of the Highways Agency gave a short speach about the
oup and coming issues facing his organisation in managing the stratigic road network.
We have also scheduled two meetings of our Technical Committee Representative. This
meeting is a joint meeting with the members Technical Committees of the Institution of
Highways and Transportation. The objective of the meeting is to encourage cross
organisation knowledge transfer and provide a forum for the Tech Com Reps to meet
discuss issues affecting their WRA work and provide updates of committee progress.
UK 1st delegate and WRA-UK Chair will be attending the next NC meeting in September.
