CEGH to join PEGAS platform
Vienna, Paris, Leipzig, 20 June 2016 –Parisian-based Powernext SA and the Austrian
Central European Gas Hub AG (CEGH) have signed an agreement to jointly develop
the Austrian as well as the Central and Eastern European (CEE) gas markets. In the
context of this cooperation, the Austrian CEGH Gas Exchange spot and futures
contracts will be offered via the pan-European PEGAS platform and operated under the
Powernext rulebook. The cooperation is subject to competition and regulatory
approvals. CEGH and Powernext expect closing in Q3 2016.
As the basis for this cooperation, Powernext and CEGH establish a joint company in
Vienna with a 51% Powernext shareholding and a 49% CEGH shareholding. Its
managing director will be Gottfried Steiner, who is also the CEO of CEGH AG. This joint
company will ensure local service for the Austrian market while customers will benefit
as well from access to the pan-European PEGAS offering. Moreover, it will also support
the further development of new PEGAS CEGH products in the CEE region. The
cooperation will not affect the operation of the Virtual Trading Point (VTP) in Austria,
which will remain the exclusive responsibility of CEGH AG.
In the framework of the cooperation, all spot and futures products for the Austrian gas
market currently available on the CEGH platform as well as the Austrian balancing
market from the existing CEGH Gas Exchange will be opened on PEGAS by the end of
2016. Balancing rules remain valid under French license as part of the PEGAS offering.
The current CEGH Gas Exchange members will need to be admitted to Powernext
through a simplified membership process.

European Commodity Clearing AG (ECC) will continue to provide clearing and
settlement of all PEGAS CEGH contracts in the future. The new Austrian products on
PEGAS complement the current offering for the Belgian, Dutch, French, German, Italian
and UK market areas.

CEGH tritt PEGAS-Plattform bei
Wien, Paris, Leipzig, 20 Juni 2016 – Die in Paris ansässige Powernext SA und die
österreichische Central European Gas Hub AG (CEGH) haben einen Vertrag über die
gemeinsame Entwicklung der österreichischen sowie der mittel- und osteuropäischen
Gasmärkte (CEE-Region) unterzeichnet. Im Zusammenhang mit dieser Kooperation
werden die Spot- und Terminkontrakte der österreichischen CEGH Gas Exchange über
die paneuropäische PEGAS-Plattform angeboten und unter dem Powernext-Regelwerk
gehandelt. Die Kooperation unterliegt der noch ausstehenden kartellrechtlichen und
regulatorischen Genehmigung. CEGH und Powernext erwarten den Abschluss der
Transaktion im dritten Quartal 2016.
Als Basis für diese Kooperation gründen Powernext und CEGH ein gemeinsames
Unternehmen mit Sitz in Wien, an dem Powernext 51% und CEGH 49% halten.
Geschäftsführer wird Gottfried Steiner, der auch CEO der CEGH AG ist. Dieses
gemeinsame Unternehmen bietet die Unterstützung für den österreichischen Markt an,
während Kunden gleichzeitig vom Zugang zum paneuropäischen Angebot der PEGAS
profitieren. Überdies wird das Unternehmen auch die weitere Entwicklung von neuen
PEGAS CEGH Produkten in der Region CEE vorantreiben. Die Zusammenarbeit hat
keine Auswirkungen auf den Betrieb des virtuellen Handelspunktes (VHP) in Österreich,
der auch weiterhin ausschließlich in der Verantwortung der CEGH AG liegt.
Im Rahmen dieser Zusammenarbeit werden alle Spot- und Terminprodukte, die aktuell
auf dem österreichischen Gasmarkt der CEGH-Plattform sowie dem österreichischen
Ausgleichsenergiemarkt der bestehenden CEGH Gas Exchange handelbar sind, bis
Ende des Jahres 2016 auf die PEGAS übertragen. Sämtliche AusgleichsenergieRegelungen
bleiben als Teil des PEGAS-Angebots nach der französischen
Börsenlizenz der Powernext gültig. Die aktuellen Börsenmitglieder der CEGH Gas
Exchange können über einen vereinfachten Zulassungsprozess an der Powernext
zugelassen werden.

PEGAS ergänzen das aktuelle Angebot für die belgischen, niederländischen,
französischen, deutschen, italienischen und britischen Marktgebiete.

CEGH rejoint la plateforme PEGAS
Vienne, Paris, Leipzig, le 20 juin 2016 – La société Powernext SA, basée à Paris, et
la société autrichienne Central European Gas Hub AG (CEGH) ont signé un accord
pour développer conjointement les marchés du gaz en Autriche et en Europe centrale
et orientale (CEE – Central and Eastern Europe). Dans le contexte de cette
coopération, les contrats au comptant et à terme du marché du gaz CEGH seront
proposés via la plateforme paneuropéenne PEGAS et opérés selon les règles de
marché de Powernext. La coopération est soumise aux autorisations des autorités de
régulation et de la concurrence. CEGH et Powernext prévoient la finalisation de la
transaction au troisième trimestre 2016.
Comme base de cette coopération, Powernext et CEGH établissent une société
commune à Vienne, détenue à 51 % par Powernext et à 49 % par CEGH. Elle sera
dirigée par Gottfried Steiner, également Directeur général de CEGH AG. Cette société
commune apportera son soutien au marché autrichien tout en faisant bénéficier aux
membres de l'offre paneuropéenne de PEGAS. Elle soutiendra également le
développement des nouveaux produits PEGAS CEGH dans la région CEE. La
coopération n'affectera pas les opérations du point d’échange virtuel autrichien (VTP Virtual Trading Point) en Autriche qui restera sous la responsabilité exclusive de la
société CEGH AG.
Dans le cadre de cette coopération, tous les produits au comptant et à terme
actuellement offerts par CEGH ainsi que le marché d'équilibrage autrichien actuel
seront transférés sur PEGAS d'ici fin 2016. Les règles d'équilibrage resteront valides
sous la licence de marché française dans le cadre de l'offre PEGAS. Les membres
actuels de la bourse du marché du gaz CEGH devront devenir membres de Powernext
par le biais d'un processus d'adhésion simplifié.

nouveaux produits autrichiens complètent l'offre de PEGAS comprenant aujourd’hui les
marchés belge, néerlandais, français, allemand, italien et britannique.
Central European Gas Hub AG (CEGH) propose une plateforme de négoce de gaz
