The Projet for Unité 1 is a major project and will include all of the aspects of this unit. It
is a culmination of the whole unit and therefore more mark weight will be place on it.
Please be aware that Projects are worth 25% of your mark.
One class every week will be set aside to work on the project – it is imperative that you
use this time constructively as there are only 4 or 5 classes to plan your project.
This is a group project for 1 to 4 people.

A. Designing your Outfits
Criteria: You will design your own fashion line. This line could be for everyday wear,
sports, high fashion, weather wear, etc. (use your imagination). The line should include
at least 6 outfits (minimal requirement) and must include accessories and shoes.
1. Write detailed descriptions of your outfits, including colours, patterns and
materials. Include an illustration for each outfit.
2. Write when you would use these outfits: which weather, time of day, time of year,
activity, etc.
3. Each outfit should have its own page and then all of your design work should be
placed in a booklet with a title page.
B. The Fashion Show
Criteria: You will model your outfits for the class.
1. Write a script for your fashion show – make sure that all members in the group
have spoken lines. Your script should include description of the outfit and when
it would be worn. Use your designing sheets to aid you. Also include your script
in your design booklet. The script and fashion show should include an
interview with the designer!
2. Presentation of the fashion show may be one of the following:

• Une DVD ou CD – projeté devant la classe
• Un PowerPoint avec les visuels et les voix enregistrés
• Des marionnettes/poupées
• Etc. (any other ideas? Please see me first)
