spectateur, je tente continuellement de repenser et reformuler son
dialecte de manière à donner corps à mon travail.
Inspirée par le style de David Lynch, Everything was beautiful and
nothing hurt propose un récit mystérieux et imagé. Transcrit dans un
univers sobre et dramatique, trois femmes entrent et sortent de la
lumière formant ainsi une série de séquences entrelacées.

Because cinematic style dominates our visual landscape, it holds
tremendous power over the contemporary viewer. I am continually
looking for ways to repurpose this vocabulary as a method for framing
and contextualizing my choreography.
Partially inspired by the style of David Lynch, Everything was beautiful
and nothing hurt embraces an enigmatic, imagistic approach to
storytelling. Utilizing an aesthetic that is both spare and dramatic, three
women move in and out of the shadows in a series of interwoven
vignettes.
BIOGRAPHIES
Dorian Nuskind-Oder (Chorégraphe)
Ayant reçu une bourse d'études du Merce Cunningham
Studio et un BFA en danse de New York UniversityTisch School of the Arts, Dorian Nuskind-Oder a
ensuite travaillé 8 ans à New York pour enfin s'installer
à Montréal en 2010.
Depuis son arrivé, son travail fut présenté à Tangente
ainsi qu'en situ aux "Champs des Possibles" dans le
Mile-End.
En 2009, Dorian a fondé Delicate Beast pour soutenir
ses projets créatifs. Dans les deux années
précédentes, la compagnie a reçu des résidences de
création à Circuit-Est, Studio 303, et Concord Summer
Stages Festival (Massachusetts).
Having studied on scholarship at the Merce Cunningham
Studio, and earned a BFA in dance from New York
University-Tisch School of the Arts, Dorian Nuskind-Oder
has worked in New York City for over 8 years and has
been based in Montreal for 2 years.
In Montreal, she has presented work at Tangente as well
as a site-specific work in the Champs des Possibles in
the Mile-End.
Dorian founded Delicate Beast in 2009 as a platform to
support ongoing creative projects in both Montreal and
New York. Over the past two years, the company has
been offered creation residencies by Circuit-Est, Studio
303, and the Concord Summer Stages Festival
(Massachusetts).
Simon Grenier-Poirier (Trame Sonore)
En plus d'être un musicien, Simon Grenier-Poirier est un artiste
visuel plus précisément intéressé par la photographie et le land
art. Après avoir compléter des études en électro-acoustique, il
poursuit présentement ses études aux beaux-arts à l'université
Concordia. De plus Simon a récemment complété une tournée
européenne avec le groupe de musique montréalais
Automelodi.
In addition to being a musician, Simon is a visual artist focusing on
photography and land art. Having completed a DEC in electroacoustic recording, he is currently pursuing a BFA in Fine Arts at
Concordia University. Simon has also recently completed a
European tour with the Montreal-based band, Automelodi.
Neil Sochasky (Repétiteur et Oeil Éxterieur)
Natif du Nouveau-Brunswick, Neil Sochasky est un comédien,
danseur, chorégraphe, enseignant, répétiteur et œil extérieur
travaillant entre Montréal et Paris. Au cours de sa carrière, il a
dansé pour O
Vertigo et Toronto Dance Theater et ce à travers les
Amériques, l'Asie et l'Europe. De plus, il a récemment collaboré
avec les compagnies de théâtre françaises Naranja-Escena,
Transborder et La Compagnie Pavlov.
Dance and theatre artist Neil Sochasky splits his time between
Montreal and Paris, wearing various hats as actor, dancer,
choreographer, teacher, rehearsal director, and outside-eye. As a
dancer heʼs performed across the US, Canada, Europe, Asia, and
Latin America independently and with companies O Vertigo and
Toronto Dance Theatre, among others. He has recently
collaborated with the creative teams of French theatre
companies Naranja-Escena, Transborder, and La Compagnie
Pavlov.
Rose-Marie Theriault (Interprète)
Née à Montréal, Rose-Marie débute la musique et la danse dès
lʼenfance. Elle entre en 2002 au programme pré-professionnel
de Ballet Divertimento où elle complète 3 années de formation
classique et moderne. Elle est ensuite acceptée à lʼÉcole du
Toronto Dance Theatre. Elle termine sa formation au printemps
2008, ayant reçu deux bourses dʼétudes de lʼécole. Rose-Marie
collabore avec Delicate Beast depuis 2010.
Born in Montreal, Rose-Marie began her study of music and dance
in early childhood. In 2002, she entered the pre-professional
program at Ballet Divertimento, where she completed 3 years of
training in classical and modern dance. She was then accepted to
the school of Toronto Dance Theatre. She finished her training in
the spring of 2008, having received two scholarships from the
school. Rose-Marie has been collaborating with Delicate Beast
since 2010.
Ashlea Watkin (Interprète)
Après avoir compléter un BFA en danse à l'université
Concordia, Ashlea a travaillé avec: Tania Alvarado, Heidi
Bunting, Thibaut Duverneix, Milan Gervais, Lucie Grégoire,
Sasha Kleinplatz, Dana Michel, Michael Montanaro, Brian
Webb et, le plus recemment, Nicolas Cantin. De plus, son
travail chorégraphique fut présenté à Tangente, au Festival
Nextfest (Edmonton), à Studio 303 et dans la séries populaire
"Short & Sweet".
Since completion of her BFA in dance from Concordia University,
Ashlea has worked professionally with: Tania Alvarado, Heidi
Bunting, Thibaut Duverneix, Milan Gervais, Lucie Grégoire, Sasha
Kleinplatz, Dana Michel, Michael Montanaro, Brian Webb, and
most recently Nicolas Cantin. She has performed in festivals

Sweet.”
