INFORMATION FOR CONSIGNORS
Please read this information carefully.
All consignors should be familiar with the Terms and Conditions.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
The following documents need to be filed with the SC Sales Department before any horse will be listed on
SCauctionsonline for sale.
 Registration Certificate with signed Transfer
o
If horse has electronic registration, only a signed transfer form is required.
o
If you have a hard copy registration certificate please mail to SC directly or give to the purchaser to
submit to SC.
o
NO HORSE WILL BE SOLD WITHOUT A SIGNED TRANSFER FROM ALL OWNERS.
 Negative Coggins Test
o
A current negative Coggins test is required to be given to the purchaser.
o
If the horse is to be shipped outside of Canada, a negative Coggins test dated within 180 days of the
sale must be provided to the purchaser.
 Confirmation of Sex report (for colts, geldings and ridglings only)
o
Must be signed by a veterinarian to confirm sex of colts, geldings and ridglings and dated within one
(1) week of posting.
 Pregnancy Report & Confirmation of Service (for broodmares only)
o
Pregnancy reports signed by a veterinarian must be dated within one (1) week of posting.
o
Stud fees must be paid.

Department. Reference in the cover sheet which sale and horse the documents pertain to.
POSTING & BID TIMES

Horses will be listed online for sale once the entry fee of $99 + HST is paid and all documents are submitted.

The Sales Department will make its best effort to list each horse within 24 hours of entry and documentation
being received.

Live bidding for all horses posted online will commence two (2) days prior to the auction date.

Bidding will start closing at noon on auction day. Each horse will sell consecutively, two minutes apart.
HORSE LISTING

Consignor name, location and contact information will be published online. Potential buyers may contact you for
further information about your listing(s).

Reserve bids will be taken by SC for any horses in the sale. Reserve bids may not be changed once horses are
opened for live bidding.

Please provide your owners statement (if any) before the horse is listed.

Up to three (3) images can be listed per horse. If not submitted through the online submission form, please email
in JPEG/JPG format.

If available, YouTube video links can be listed for each horse. If not submitted through the online submission
form, please email the direct link.

Up to date TrackIT racelines and pedigree will be available for viewing by bidders.
GENERAL INFORMATION
The entry fee is non-refundable.
The consignor shall notify SC and the horse shall be withdrawn from the sale in the event that the horse is claimed in
a claiming race, is injured or is seriously ill, or is the subject of a positive test during racing. Otherwise, a horse
cannot be withdrawn by the consignor once bidding has become live. A veterinary certificate must accompany
the withdrawal if health related. A veterinary certificate must accompany the withdrawal if health related. If a horse is
withdrawn for one of above mentioned reasons, the entry fee of fifty dollars ($50) plus applicable taxes shall apply.

The entry fee of $99 + HST is due at time of entry. The 3% commission (max. $250) will be deducted from the
sale proceeds cheque. If a reserve price is set and not attained, 3% commission will apply to the reserve price.

Consignors may not bid on horses owned by them.

Horses posted for sale in the online auction cannot race or qualify on the day the bidding closes.

All horses must be freeze branded and DNA tested before selling. Contact the SC to arrange for freeze branding
or DNA testing if not already done.

Shipping arrangements are the responsibility of the buyer and consignor.
